I used to think speaking in tongues was unscriptural too because I was apart of a ministry that taught that way until one day, one of my best friends who was Jehovah Witness truly recieved God's Spirit and prophesied to me in tongues with the interpretation. I couldnt say it was the devil in Him because He spoke words about me nobody would know but the Lord and it was truth that leads me towards Jesus, not away from Him. A kingdom divided against itself will not stand.
@MECINJAH Hello there. I appreciate what you say but there are a couple of problems with your conclusion. Firstly, the demons know all about you and I also and the second point is that scripture makes it plain that the gift of tongues has ceased. God bless, Mick
@christianissues I assume you speak of I Corinthians 13:8-12 which is a vague interpretation unsupported by any other prophecy of scripture. These gifts will cease when perfection comes (that is Christ return) then the imperfect (sin, the world, and everything in it, the gifts etc) disappears(ceases, be stilled, passes away) because then we will know all things. Thats why it says for we know in part and prophesy in part. All will be revealed on the day of redemption. John 3:12
@MECINJAH Hello once again. It is vague until studied. I have a series of videos which easily refute what you have said. If you are interested they are on my YouTube site under the Speaking In Tongues Playlist. God bless, Mick
@christianissues When Christ returns and the kingdom comes then there will be no need 4 prophecy or tongues or knowledge or even the bible because no one will need it as they are for salvation. Perfection will be established and nothing will be partial. All things will be whole. God has revealed these things to us in part, and we have no clue about the deep mysteries of heaven etc. Only in part do we know now.
@christianissues What other scriptures support that idea that tongues has already done away with? And why would God allow the devil 2decieve people N2 thinking he is Him? A Kingdom divided against itself will not stand. Will the devil decieve people 2live 4Christ and worship God from the depths of their heart and soul? People who have made radical changes in their life contrary 2the deeds of Satan? U know a tree by its fruit. Humbly seek God concerning this and He promises in His word 2answerU.
@christianissues Im not here to quarrel but I believed as you did for years and years unwaveringly until God confronted me and put me in a position where I had to seek him for some answers about things that seemed contrary to what I thought I understood. I hope and pray that you are humble enough to go to God sincerely seeking assurance of what you believe to already understand. Grace and Peace to you. ELIJAH
@MECINJAH Hello Elijah. Years ago I got led to study tongues & have discussed it with many, many people. Tongues was a sign of judgment 3 times in the OT - Gen 11, Isa. 28:11-13 and Jer. 5:15-17 - 1 Cor. 14:21-22 says that tongues would be a sign again and it was as Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD. The Bible says that tongues had one purpose - to be a sign to the Jews. If anyone could refute the first 2 mins of Speaking In Tongues Part A then they would have my attention. God bless, Mick
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. I Corinthians 14:38-40
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid NOT to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order .
good video although i disagree on your stance on being slain in the spirit and speaking in tongues. Tongues as it says in the new testament it is a gift of the Holy Spirit. It IS biblical
True, speaking in tongues IS biblical...speaking in tongues in the bible has to do with speaking in a language which you did not learn from birth i.e.spanish, english, german, hebrew, etc.
It is NOT gibberish or vain babbling as many believe today. Being slain in the spirit IS NOT, IS NOT, IS NOT biblical. No where in scripture has someone been slain in the spirit. It is a demonic activity that results from false prophets elevating themselves as someone annointed when they are not.
Firstly, we are free to choose so can go this way or that. When we voluntarily ask God to guide us He will empower us over sin. When we voluntarily move toward the occult and get involved in it, demons will come into our life and influence us to go against God. So, demonic activity is being under the influence of demons. But, you may not believe in them in which case what I say won't make any sense to you.
If you don't believe that demonic activity and psychological disorder are connected then then have a look at how Jesus delivered some poor souls.
Also, you are wrongly equating lust with demonic activity. Lust is part of our sinful nature. We don't need the devil to encourage us there, but he may nonetheless.

Praise God! for your video , but the gift of speaking in Tongues is in the bible.
1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. I Corinthians 14:38-40

In reply to Captain42x,
If you don't believe that demonic activity and psychological disorder are connected then then have a look at how Jesus delivered some poor souls.
Also, you are wrongly equating lust with demonic activity. Lust is part of our sinful nature. We don't need the devil to encourage us there, but he may nonetheless.

1. Click the reply button!
2. Can you please define demonic activity
3. Can you please give me a real account from the modern age, not a story from an old book that can't be independently verified?
4. My apologies; I thought sin was demonic activity. What, in your opinion, is demonic activity then?

Demonic activity may lead to a psychological disorder? Is that a Joke?
I embrace natural human emotions, including lust. *GASP*
Amazingly, I haven't contracted a psychological disorder yet!
