I just looked up the starchild skull and discovered that it has been found to be completely human with both a human father and human mother and that it is deformed as the result of a disease that ultimately resulted in the death of the male Native American child that it belonged to. There, saved you from having to watch them hem and haw over this stupid skull.

i think this is not one being but a few different things. the star child is a deform human,we have seen people born with out faces in modern times and you just have to look at the deformities in the elephant man to see what can happen. there was a lot of UFO sightings around 1952 and i don't think this could be related to ancient monster reports but i do believe there is no smoke without fire and there is probably something strange living out there. most of this is BS

This episode seems especially desperate. They are making connections between things that are unrelated. The "starchild" skull has exactly nothing to do with the Flatwoods monster. I guess they had trouble filling an hour with this episode.

@Wyrmwould It seems to me that this episode is more about extraterrestrials in general than about the Flatwoods Monster in particular. Also, the more I learn about it, the more I'm thinking that the titular 'Lizard Monster' and the Flatwoods Monster, which was NOT described as a humanoid reptile from the head to the waist, are not the same either, although the lower half and the toxic gas is close enough to indicate that they have some kind of connection to eachother.
