  • awful vocals

  • Great music!! If you like melody and atmosphere in metal, pls check out Mystic on my own channel as well (although NOT as technical as Alarum hehe)

  • not bad, this actually is okay :)

  • i don't live the vox

  • oh man this song and video sucks

  • don't like the way the cleans randomly happen

  • The video is as original and inventive as the music

  • These guys are not too bad

  • 2:54 bass!!!!xD

  • Sonor Signature?

  • @mdrumt I believe so.

  • no jazz harmony what so ever, and the levels are fucked up

  • jazz?? seriously?

  • awful harsh..and cleans..

  • spiral architect rules! so does andromeda

  • Im surprised no one has said this sounds like MARTYR, not only in stecato/tech riffs but the singer sounds Alot like Daniel Mongrain of Martyr: a great band, a MUST check out if you like this. This also reminds me of Spiral Architecht. I love metal bands that dont use picks for the bass. I give it a thumbs up. Alarum should tour with Martyr unless they already have, making me sound like a foo... anywho, get Martyr's-"Warpzone" AND "Feeding The Abscess"

  • @VicRattlehead6661 Indeed. In my opinion, it often marks the the difference between "great" and "amazing."

  • the lead singer went to my high school

  • thats badass the drummer uses traditional grip. I hate when bands like these have vocalist. they would actually be alright to listen to if it was just instrumental .

  • *schoolgirl squeal* :'D 1:35-1:46

  • Amazing.....Love this band/album, Eventuality opened my ears when I first heard it, just like Focus from Cynic did

  • give them the world to destroy it with metal this guys are amazing dudes!!!!! GO ARGENTINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is awesome, but the harsh vocals aren't the best. Other than that, this song is really awesome. I want Alarum to come to the US!

  • @slapguitarer no piss off US invades our ears with shit metal well keep our's here thanks

  • @stevo11ist Yeah, so Death, Cynic, and Atheist are shit metal. Right....

  • Amazing Song! If you like that you should also check Counter-World Experience from germany...

  • Hmm, I kinda like this, though it sounds like a compressor on methamphetamines >.<

  • I know this is a very nerdy thing to say but since I don't give a crap I just thought I should mention that this song would be great for a "mech" video game like Phantom Crash on the Xbox console. I loved that game and the music on there but always wished there was more then just Tokyo-pop and futuristic techno. If there were some jazz metal that game would probably be remembered differently.

  • I like everything except for the clean vocals... they're so overused.

  • Chuck would be proud.

  • he's got vocs' that remind me so much of chuck schindler \m/ keep it hard and heavy guys, real good.

  • I didn't like it. The tempo changes were kinda cool, but everything else here's been done and done again.

  • good shit

  • Eventuality wasn't there debut album, Fluid Motion was.

  • The mixing is kinda bad..

  • interesting...

i wish for a more melodic approach on the vocals

anyway do your music as you want it, its your freedom

    thanks

  • Holy shit... the drummer's using traditional grip. That's awesome.

  • I like this!. I got it on e-music

  • Holy sht awesome!!!

nice bass, speed drums and excelent guitar solo and riff

  • the growling sections sound identical to chuck schuldiner.

  • the singer looks like mick hucknall gone aggressive. . . . . they also have anothe thing in common, they are both not very good singers. music was very interesting tho. the drummer is awesome as well as the lead guitar.

  • WTF is up with the levels in this song?

  • @mathiusvoodoo its just this vid

  • @mathiusvoodoo polyrtm :) is that right ?:)

  • Amazing!

  • I rate this whole album up there with my fav's. Namely Cynic and Death. ALARUM I am so proud to be Australian and you guys are our answer to the International Heavyweights!

    Keep Writing! I want more!

  • The jazzy bits remind me of Misery Signals. =3

  • I wanted to keep watching Cynic videos, but I took a chance. Amazing skill on bass/vox.

  • I applaud everyone that has contributed to this list of 47 tech death metal bands I am currently aweing through.

  • where can i see said list?

  • @bce5150 Look up technical death metal scroll untill you see playlist results click play all in playlist, should be about 47 if you find the one I did.

  • @bce5150 Also might have been under the search results "progressive death metal" I forget what I searched now.

  • This band is FUCKING awesome!!!! Does anybody know a place to get their first album? And has their new album been released? i have to know! but i can't find it out!

  • Can't you just get off the internet?

  • Found this band via Spotify. One can really hear were they get their inspirations from. I love it! I ordered "Alarum - Eventuality" yesterday. Spotify is fantastic to do these kinds of discoverys. I've bought more CDs the last months than I have for many years before, because of Spotify. (I don't work for Spotify :) )

  • sick band. super underrated. they shredded on the Arsis / Necrophagist tour.

  • just stumbled over this band:P i was really surprised, fucking awesome song:D

  • Best band in melbourne, cant wait for new album and more live shows!

  • love this band!!!

n their live performences are sick!!

  • awsome bit like sikth

  • Nowadays you don't hear that many singing voices.

Very nice and good song craftsmanship.

  • Nice!

I'd like to ask what makes this 'jazz' progmetal though.

  • They have other songs which better express the idea of Alarum being of such a genre especially from their first album Fluid Motion. Generally you have the syncopation, and the chords which aren't as clear when distorted than they would have been clean. They write their music in an improv style, so that if you were in Melbourne to here their shows you'd see how different their original versions of the songs are from the final version that makes it onto the CD.

  • @Yony42 - They aren't just your typical Pentatonic Metal Band. These guys are as creative as they are schooled. If you are worth your salt, you can hear it! Listen.......

  • That rocks pretty hard.

  • an interesting chili peppers, sadist, mastadon, atheist kind of band!

  • This is interesting - it reminds me of a little bit of Voivod..

  • thats amazinggg dude!

  • Amazing band!

  • well, i prefer to say melodic chorus, but the rest is great, well, im going to listen to some of their albums, though

  • reminds you of geddy because of his playing style right? His singing is not exactly Geddy.

Or he reminds you of Geddy cuz both of them freaking rock!!!

  • great song!!!

the vocalist reminds me of geddy lee...

no offence... if any at all....

  • Wait till you see the Psycroptic clip I'm working on now.

  • Payton696 should go F*** himself:]

  • Is this just a shit version of the song or was it really badly recorded?

  • Love these guys.

  • these guys arnt the best bands outta oz

    cumon its a fkn RANGA!!!

parkwaydrive is the best band outta oz

  • Alarum are the best fucking band ever to come out of Australia!

  • have you heard ruins or hate?...alarum is one of the best but not the best yet...
