I have a saxfriend(plays mainly tenor, as I used to do(for me it's back to guitar again))

he digs mainly Dexter and Mobley!

I convinced him to listen more to Sonny Rollins!

The thing is you have to be openminded and don't "give up".

I listen nowadays a lot to Dex and just love the way he played!

Hank Mobley also! My friend is now hooked on Mr. Rollins!

For me sax is named Tenor. Tenor is named Conn. I'm as your friend! I dig Dexter and Hank. The voice is the more important thing because it expresses what is in your heart.

I have a Tenor - A Tone King Amati from Kraslisce (Tcheckoslovakia) 195X .

A redicously cheap horn compared to Conns, Selmers and what not.

A one that I could afford to buy! I'm also that cheap as to have an

"Evette Buffet Crampon" alto as well, and a really simple Yamaha clarinet!

I agree sax is tenor and sax is many voices: Like Rollins, Coltrane, Gordon, Gray, Webster, Young and many more!
