there has been no ethnic violence in nepal does not eliminate the fact that there has never been ethnic suppression and domination in nepal. however if u understand history then u can witness many accounts of ethnic violence but u fail to take it into account because may be ur afraid of being called a racist. the term racist itself is a relative phenomenon for example a racist for one maybe freedom fighter for another. it depends on ones perception to draw a line between the two.

It is true that Kirats are the natives of the eastern hills of Nepal. Tamangs and Newars are natives of the central hills of Nepal. Gurungs and Thakalis are natives of Western hills of Nepal. Khas are natives of Mid-Western and Far-Western hills of Nepal. Maithilis are natives of Eastern and Central terai of Nepal. Tharus are natives of western terai of Nepal. Sherpas are natives of Himalayas. Other smaller native groups are scattered at different parts of the country. That's the truth.

the whole issue of khas is very recent one. only after the concept of federal states were raised by various ethnic demanding seperate states. nowadays many writes are publishing books and articles of khas. these recent written history are conflicting in themselves. this issue is very debatable and very suspicious. if khas were truely different from hindu brahmins, and suppressed then they sud be revolting against the hindu dictatorship under some ethnic banner. however there is none.

@praglav federal states can be declared on the basis of geography, ethnicity, judiciary , political balance etc. they are all options and depends on the situation, in Nepal Rana regime, monarchy , panchayat, democracy, maoist, all failed to represent the ethnic groups and suppressed (including chettris of sudur pacchim).thats y we have ethnic revolution in nepal.so in nepal the second option is favourable on the basis of ethnicity.it is not a case of geography and geography is not a solution.

It is true that Kirats are the natives of the eastern hills of Nepal. Tamangs and Newars are natives of the central hills of Nepal. Gurungs and Thakalis are natives of Western hills of Nepal. Khas are natives of Mid-Western and Far-Western hills of Nepal. Maithilis are natives of Eastern and Central terai of Nepal. Tharus are natives of western terai of Nepal. the whole issue of khas is very recent one. only after the concept of federal states were raised by various ethnic demanding seperate states. nowadays many writes are publishing books and articles of khas. these recent written history are conflicting in themselves. this issue is very debatable and very suspicious. if khas were truely different from hindu brahmins, and suppressed then they sud be revolting against the hindu dictatorship under some ethnic banner. however there is none.

All these tribes were described as Mlechha tribes....The religious epic of Mahabharata glorifies the contribution of the Khasa tribes in the historic battle of Kurukshetra . Unity is of no use if there is no equality. Todays Nepal unity was built under hindu domination, of course Prithivi Narayan united Nepal geographically but divided Nepal culturally, racially,religious etc etc . which was a false unity. True unity must be with equality for all groups and caste.

Native means first permanent settlers of a land with proper establishment that means kirat are native, look up the dictionary. And for gopals and mahispals they are not within the definition of native cause they were not settlers and they were cow herders roaming from place to place with no permanent settlement.
