Chromosome number 2 in humans shows that humans had 48 chromosomes at one time, because of the Temomeres and Centromere markings in the evidence. Not at all, all theories require adjustments. None is ever perfectly laid out in the first place such that it explains absolutely everything. This goes for evolution, cells, gravity, atomic theory and so on. The point however is that while adjustments have been made, the primary tenets remain in tact. With regard to evolution, Darwin's core idea that organisms are related by common ancestry and have diversified via natural selection remains largely in tact and is well-supported.

Agree, a model that doesnt change is a dogmatic model which needs to be avoided. However, there have been released a number of papers and books stating troubles for Darwinian models than have before.
