You can get a clay mask for around $4.50 at CVS. They usually have three brands next to each other. The one I have is Freeman Superfruits detoxifying clay facial mask.

Its not an at home remedy if you need to buy things like clay masks. I think just the towel then washing your face with water would do the trick but then again I have bad acne so what do I know.

Hey bud if you got acne go to the doctors and get a prescription. I have this bottle of liquid and it has a ball on the end which rolls, I live in the UK so it's free here and it doesn't hurt at ALL you can't even tell its on! Within a week of using it they'll be hardly visible :)

@larema27 you can either make pore strips (Michelle Phan has a great video on how to make them) or do what I do which is use a green tea face scrub - basically you just make a cup of green tea and let it cool with the tea bag in (I put mine in the freezer after) then take a few tbsp of sugar and mix it with the green tea, scrub it on your face and leave it for 10 minutes then wash it off. (I also use a few lemon drops/vitamin E in the scrub) and use the extra green tea as a skin toner :)

there is something call KNOX GELATINE. that you can use and it GETS rid of blackheads at 1/4 the price of your stupid pore strips. It's literally a pack of unflavored gelatin that people used to make gelatin for desert. In a microwaveable bowl, a 1/2 teaspoon of gelatin only needs 5-10 drops of water.. put it in microwave for 5 sec... it needs to be in a slight thick consistancy... put it on your clean face, wait for it to dry and use storage tape to peel it off. IT WORKS!

the truth is pores DO NOT open and close. Pores (the opening to the follicles) do not have muscles in order to do this. Facial steaming simply hydrates the surface of the skin, making i softer & more flexible to work with; especially if extractions need to be performed. Using a cold water splash or toner makes the capillaries constrict giving a temporary tightening sensation to the skin. Next time you see a product or someone tells you do open your pores with water, dont believe it.
