  • Is it me or does that little pot have unlimited water LOL

  • Nice video. I'm from Malaysia too and I just bought a can of Dong Ding Oolong tea from Purple Cane. The taste is so refreshing and the sweet fragrant is long lasting in mouth. By the way, I see that you frequently heat up your yixing teapot. Is that really necessary? I learn that the Taiwanese do not pour hot water on the surface of the teapot because the yixing teapot itself can trap heat inside.

  • Its hard to find Oolong where I live thats not in tea bags.

  • @mindflashbr

tea originally only grew in china, your assumptions are wrong, if u had tasted oolong tea, u will realize that the third brew is the best. and may i ask u what sort of tea leaves do u brew? good tea leaves are brewed the way i mention, regardless if it white, green, red, black, oolong etc.

if ur retarded or ignaorant, save yourself from commenting.

  • @hongster76 Woah, a tea snob, what a faggot. Learn to type, you prick.

  • @mindflashbr "the ancient chinese....they were too poor...."

No, ancient China was not poor. During the Han and Tang dynasties, China was arguably the largest economy in the world and the most prosperous. Modern China, however, is poor.

  • @mindflashbr Agree with you man, some people act mad nice, everyone gives them respect for no reason. The second you say anything that's not praise, they get defensive and start talking in ways they never would in real life.

  • @hongster76 I am from the US and I am not as stupid as mindflashbr. Thank you for the video.

  • THIS IS TOOO MUCH!

    WHO HAS TIME FOR THIS!

JUST POUR THE F****** BOILING WATER OVER THE TEA AND GET IT OVER WITH!

  • lol cantonese. Said, "Drink Tea" At teh last part.

  • Very good demonstration. :) What's the difference between that pot you've got there and a "yixing" pot? Also, is there a good place to order a high quality clay pot like that? I live in America and it'd difficult to find good Chinese tea ware here.

  • Thank you very much for the video. I had no idea I should re brew tea, so in essence, nothing goes to waste from the oolong. Again Thank you, now I can enjoy my oolong(I have just recently left my mistress coffee)

  • hi there cud pls someone tell me can i make the second brew 4 hours after the first brew and if it is possible how to keep the wet leaves till i make the second brew and also i tried one time but after 4 hours i noticed some very dark liquid colored the walls of the tea where i kept the wet leaves something like ink is this normal pls i hope someone is going to answer me tx

  • This is an AWESOME video to check out!!! Love it, and so jealous of all the wonderful supplies you have!

  • You can find all of these equipments at China Town.

  • Where did you find the vessel that holds the candle that warms your teapot? Does it keep the water hot enough to brew pu-erh?

  • @dave71us

got that in malaysia, but its just a warmer. not hot enough for puer imo

  • In china bezeichnet man das als kultur in afrika würde man dazu verschwedung sagen ...

  • haha, i just thought of something

maybe in your water warming pot, with the flame to keep it hot

maybe u should put sake instead of water, warm sake helps

    during cold cold nites

  • Very nice video. I'm big into tea myself but I don't have a Yixing (yet). I'm not sure what to look for in order to get a good one.

  • seems like a huge waste or water?

  • I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR SO LONG. FINALLY I FOUND IT.

    watch?v=jYLoxMtnUDE&feature=related

Song: Aguas De Marco by Elis & Tom

    Enjoy :D

    PS Love you videos

  • You truly are a tea expert.

Too bad you broke your teapot. I hope that did not stop you from enjoying tea.

  • Greeeeeeeat! Keep it up. I love Oolong.

  • Nice video - The slurping instructions should perhaps be amended a bit though. It's ok to slurp a bit with the first cup of Oolong but it's best not to keep doing it. Partly this is a point of etiquette, and partly because if you wish to better appreciate the Qi of a tea, it is best to remain quiet. This slurping process is designed to enhance the flavor of a tea though it deadens the energy of the tea considerably.

This is more the way you taste a tea when you are evaluating it for purchase.

  • where do you got those "tables/tabletts" ? I mean the thing all your stuff is standing on :)

  • May be you can show how to make

Pu -erh ? Its very popular here in Ukraine these days!

I would love to see it :)))

    Thanks a lot

  • i will =]

but making over garden now, posted some vids, thats where i m guna make my next tea video

  • hey guys, the 'how to' puer tea video has been uploaded. enjoy! ;-D

  • Hmmm i dont think its a good idea to stick my finger into water! I actualy working in tea shop ..... & we was using thermometer before ... its not always comfortable :(

  • Nice video :) ...... i was wondering how do you know what temperature your water ?

  • stick ur finger in it, lol, j/k

thermometer for beginners, but i can generally tell the temperature by how long i leave it to cool after boiling, touching the vessel, and if i feel that the water has cooled too much, i let the tea steep a lil longer, a matter of adjustment =]

  • And I think I know why it's called oolong ea, cuzz it takes toolong to make :P I wouldn't mind it though.

  • it'd kind of fun to do if there's a few people there, but alone, its better to just stick to tetleys.

  • you are soo right! I have some and I really messed it up! when its done right though its REALLY nice!

  • is it my impression or youre lisetning to a brazilian song? :)

    Good video...

    Comment coming from brazil :)

  • @Sunlights24

    I think it was Gilberto

  • Quick question, Why do you pour water on your tea pot? Doesn't it get on your table?

  • that is why its all done on a 'tea basin / tray'.

there is a water catchment area at the bottom of the 'basin'

  • is your cha hai name is "Clear Glass Cha Hai Gong Fu Tea Serving Pitcher 220ml B" ? I just bought this item today and it look basically the same !!

  • idk its volume, mines made in china =]

  • what is the name of the glass thing ?

  • I can't stop watching this for that song!

    Song name/artist???

  • I enjoyed this video very much, thank you !!

  • Thank you for posting that. It was really informative and helpful:-)

  • The top grade Tie Guan Yin tea has a golden color, not the dark or black color from tea bag. The taste and fragant I can't describe, you got to try it.

  • The Tie Guan Yin is one of the Wuloon tea, is very famous and popular for southern china, and people of Taiwan, and many SE asian countries. This tea has few grades, the top grade are very expensive, and more expensive than your top coffee means. There are other type of chinese teas that are much more expensive than Tie Guaan Yin. That is why these steps are needed to bring out the best of is favors.

  • The nice tea whether is chinese tea or indian tea is never from tea bag. It is very hard to explain to people what so nice about these tea and why these steps, unless you tasted it before.

  • i mean, stupid.... lol

  • nctrls2 u are so idiot....sorry! u don't understand a thing about the culture and the meaning of this ritual. I'm japanese...before saying something supid like that, you should study more about it...

  • well done hongster76

  • Certainly, after saw lot of making tea videos, it this one of my Favourite and the Best in it Genre! Your doing very well with a good intention! My 5 stars!

    Good luck and best regards,

    Lugit bar

    hugs

  • Cool video!

  • love this video, thanks. gung fu is amazing. oolong is by far the best tea (for me); I also like chinese and japanese green teas. do you suggest using the candle warming pot even if I have an electric kettle?

  • Why do you see to pour the tea near to the faircup rather than from farther away (at around 2:45)?

  • wut iz da name of da background muzik...i really like it even if i cant understand wut dey r sayin

  • bossa nova stuff, with astrud gilberto and joao gilberto. Just look them up; it all sounds pretty similar

  • Pretty informative, thanks man!

    :]

  • What/who is the music in the background?

  • Thanks for sharing your video and your comments and information. Great!

  • HI, do you know what measurments in ml your tea cups are, because i've just bought some chinese tea cups that are 120ml, and I was wondering if that was a little big? Also, will a gaiwan be appropriate for making Puerh and Oolong?

  • i would think 120 ml is kinda big, perhaps half that size is more appropriate for kungfu tea. but its a personal preference^^

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience with your tea ceremony.

  • thanks this was very informative. as i'm writing this i'm actually in hong kong (travelling) and i just bought some good quality oolong tea.

  • Wow I love all kinds of tea so I would love to try some oolong. I've seen some other Chinese tea which involves a flower sitting in a clear glass and after time unfolding in the hot water.

  • Very helpful, thankyou.

  • thx ^^ u r 2 kind

  • Thank you.

    Nice relaxed and clear presentation.

    Very useful!

    Yum Cha!

  • nice :D u listening to brazilian music on the background arent u? :D nice tea have to try it ;D
