I used my controller paired with my Toshiba Thrive with onLive games. At first onLive played pretty crappy, but I found out I needed a new wireless router. now the games play flawlessly. Controller response is snappy also. I played Darksiders and the graphics were good.
I have a generic XBOX 360 Controller for Windows, and when I plug it into my Toshiba Thrive Tablets' USB slot, GTA III starts up automatically without starting the app, and all buttons work fine.
@soccertoby No, you can't run Windows games on an Android tablet. If you want to play Minecraft there's an app called Minedroid that enables you to do so, though.
Walking into Best Buy If you had a choice out of the Android Tabs what would you grab? I want to get an Android with their 100 buck off deal while waiting on the iPad 3...
I use a PS3 controller with the Sixaxis app on the market. I have the galaxy tab 10.1 so its more convenient than buying a usb dongle and then one of those logitech controllers
@Tariqslo Apple is not exactly famous for compatibility, so you'll have to wait for someone to release a gamepad that uses Apple's proprietary standards...
I've tried both Wii controllers, Xbox 360 controllers and PS3 controllers on Android, on a tablet which doesn't support it natively like this one but requires third party apps (Galaxy Tab 7 PLus). By far the best experience is with a PS3 controller using the root-only Sixaxis Controller app. It has a special feature that allows you to map controls to parts of the screen, e.g. the analog stick mapped to the area where a touch stick normally is. This makes it compatible with any game out there

I love this idea. I'm very excited how tablet gaming is evolving but some games are hard to play with on screen navigations.
Does this gamepad work on iPad? It would be sweet it they make a wireless version.
