  • He´s cute and a good skater, but... boring program (this is not original). Please, Johnny Weir, come back!!!!! We miss you.

  • 90 points whith a simple combination!!! No quads, etc. Score= overblown. Patrick Chan and others whith high components, quads and quadw whith combination= 150 points, jaajajjaa. Imposible.

  • What a cute program! ^_^

  • Inspiring! Sooooo beautiful!

  • With this performance you just forget that it's a competition! What a party! He's having one hell of a time! :D

  • I saw it live in San Jose and it was amazing. He really captured all of the crowd's attention. Lovely program.

  • I don't think his score was overblown at all. I enjoyed watching him SO much. His choreography was amazing and the music was beautifully cut. He is a great skater and he took the part of old-time dancer as if he was there in that time period. It was pure creation.

  • He deserved 1st place here, but if you ask me that score was a little overblown. With a simpler combination like he did, i think his score should have been around 85

  • anyone know the bei mir bist du schon selection where its from? i GOTTA have it

  • looking forward to become World Champion!

    One of the best skater!!

  • It seems like he is dancing for fun, not like he is competing for medal at all. That's what makes him so attractive :)

  • He reminds me here of a young Robin Cousins..and that is the best compliment I could ever give a skater. I just hope he's improved his consistency this year..it would seem he has..

  • The first piece of music before sing sing sing (with a swing) is also by Benny Goodman. It's called Bei Mir Bist du Schoen.

  • Does anyone know a link to the first part of his music (before Sing Sing Sing). It has been stuck in my head all day!

  • @zie123mia

bei mir bist du scheon/benny goodman

  • thanks so much for uploading!!

  • Let's all remember that figure skating is sooooooo incredibly difficult! Most of us can hardly maintain straight ankles on the ice. Now imagine having to launch your body into the air, rotate 3 or 4 times, land cleanly, do difficult spins with different positions well and with the required number of rotations, do difficult connecting steps into these elements, have impecable edge work in your footwork and be artistically expressive. All of them should be given credit for their efforts.

  • Beautiful! I wish I could find his long program to watch.

  • He's a talented jumper that's for sure, but his spins were slow and this seemed like the long program for me, Adam Rippon's SP flew by ~ he is so much more of true artist on the ice. Shame the jumps count so heavily :(

  • @itschool Who's spins were slow? Jeremy's? That Upright Spin was, but his sit positions are most certainly not. I love the transition into that sit-change-sit (and even the change of foot was well choreographed.) That reverse cannonball position (w/e its an ugly position, side effect of the Code) was the fastest I think I saw during the short. Truthfully, Rippon is more of the classical "artist" skater, but Jeremy is no slouch in that category, and this short is a gem.

  • @itschool I like Rippon too, but I never imagined that someone would call this program boring - so far I haven't read even one such comment about Jeremy's SP, expect yours. And I've read a lot of comments. And I don't think that Abbott is less of an artist than Rippon. They just have different styles, and you obviously prefer Rippon's more classical style (as 'ZRSchultz' wrote) - that's all. You mistake your own taste and opinion for a fact.

  • @itschool I've read a lot of comments praising both Jeremy's programs (especially the long) for artistry, so, obviously, a lot of people think differently than you.

  • @itschool Rippon is slow as molasses and skates incredibly small.

  • @shineluvslambiel I've seen Adam skate in person a couple of times and he's gorgeous on the ice. If you can say anything remotely negative about his skating at this year's nationals, you can say it was a bit cautious and understandibly so. He wanted so badly to do well and to prove himself. Adam is incredibly talented in his own right.

  • すごく良いSPですね!

    ジェレミー大好きです^^

  • Always liked Abbott. Thought he had everything to be at the top internationally. I really hope he puts it all together leading up to 2016.

  • He's the new Alexei Yagudin :) Yessssssss ....

  • He is so beautiful and sexy.

  • SIMPLY TALENTED! :-)

  • You are the best, Jeremy, YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • It's annoying that the comments to any video of any top guy's (Takahashi, Plushenko etc.) good performance turns into Chan Is Better / No He's Not argument. Gah. I came to this page cause I loved this program by Abbott and want to watch it again and again, not to read about stupid comparison or, worse, dissing. Please do it somewhere else. :(

  • @RCskater97 You have no idea what you're talking about. You use your entire blade when doing footwork not just the front. For example how are you supposed to do a BO counter on the front of your blade. Surely Sharon Burley has taught you that Rachael. We will just have to wait to watch Worlds and see who comes out on the top. Patrick or Jeremy ??? My vote is for Patrick

  • He's awesome. :-) I hope his free skate from tonight gets posted soon!

  • You don't understand, Jeremy. I need t marry you :3

  • That is the most impressive footwork leading into a triple jump that I had ever seen.

  • @shineluvslambiel - Because Jeremy was bad mouthing Patrick to icenetwork this week.

  • @aaaaaaaaandrew Nonetheless, you can't denied that Chan was overscored at nationals (understandably, it is nationals, after all). But I personally find Abbott's artistry and interpretation far superior. Just my humble opinion. :)

  • @Algorithm16 - I believe the scores from US Nationals are also inflated and he wouldnt score so high at an International. You have to remember Patrick still scored 280 at the worlds last year with a clean skate with 2 quads. So 300 isnt that far off what he should score for a clean skate in both programs. Also the program components are very subjective its judges perspective that counts, and they seem to prefer patricks skating to others.

  • @aaaaaaaaandrew I read that icenetwork interview and I'll admit it was a bit surprising. We don't know what tone Jeremy made that comment in, but I seriously doubt Jeremy meant to bad-mouth Patrick. His facebook fan page makes a strong point about not saying anything negative about any skaters.

  • Best men's short in years- so entertaining, crazy footwork. Go Jeremy!

  • @RCskater97 Every great skater has tripped on something silly before.. You can't say that patrick is not a great skater because he tripped on steps during the grand prix season. And no one is consistant during the grand prix events because it is so early in the season

  • I Love it!!!!! すごーい!ジェレミーの完璧SP!堪能しました♥

  • Love love love this routine:)) Best performance of the season. Rightfully received a 10 for Performance/Execution, Choreography and Interpretation by one judge.

  • @RCskater97 If a short program with 4T+3T, 3A and 3Lz isnt spectacular, then what is ??

  • @sk8ingcoach1 and why is that there's a need to bring on this patrick chan here?

  • @shineluvslambiel i didnt bring it up, the first comment did

  • looooove !!!!

  • thank you a million times!! This was just f-cking amazing. THIS is how you perform.

  • In reference to his comments to ice network before this performance, Patrick Chan would beat the crap out of this performance!
