First of all-the mullet was part of Berube's charm. Secondly-very few guys just stood there and threw bombs like Berube-the guy never ducked his head. Also O'Rielly had great heart and courage, but will go down as one of the all time punching bags in NHL history. Same as Cam Neely-not sure he ever one a fight. Check You Tube video of Wendel Clark dropping him with one punch.

He won more often than he lost, had his fair share of draws, and always landed punches in every fight to let his opponents know they were in one. I'm not even a Boston fan, but you are an idiot. Neely won the majority of his fights. He lost a lot more than 2 or 3 times though. That other guy Joe5346 killed everything he wrote with his exaggerations as well. O'Reilley kicked Schultz's ass....Byers kicked Berube's ass,but Dave Brown beat Miller. Boston also had Cashman, Wensink, Stan Jonathan, Willie Plett and tons of other great fighters back in the day. Hell, even their great players like Orr, Neely, Ken Hodge and Ray Bourque could all fight when tested. The Big Bad Bruins were tougher than the Broad Street Bullies.

Haven't you seen Byers PUMMEL Berube, who was bleeding from the eye and mouth? Haven't you seen Neely pound Chychrun, Scott Mellanby, Kjell Samuelsson and Ryan McGill? Tocchet and Neely was a great fight, and I'd give Rick a slight edge in that fight. But that's the only Flyer EVER to get a win over Neely. Sandy McCarthy was a on the Bruins for a year. Calling him a Bruin is like Calling Jay Wells a Flyer. If you do either, you are a fucking KNOB who knows nothing about hockey!

Chief Berube will go down in history as one of the top 10 enforcers all time....he fought everyone and everyone.He beat the likes of Probert,Kocur,Domi and McSorley in their primes.

Byers was a horrible player and plagued by injuries which helped shorten his career. Berube was a good fighter but no where near top ten all time or even top 10 of his era. If you like him that's cool, but IMO he wouldn't make top 30 all time.

The instigator rule has got to go, at least for a player's first fight in a game. If a player starts two fights in a game, then he should get a five-minute instigator penalty, then maybe ten minutes for the third. Maybe that will help with the head-shots and the stick incidents.
