  • brings back fond memories- lived next to the Maybrook line for over 30 years

  • Erie Lackawanna hoppers! OMG! Great stuff!

  • Great stuff here, this makes me wish that CR never dropped ownership of these old New Haven routes, as there's a chance that the Maybrook might still be in full service today if a Class I was still holding the reigns. It's a shame that stone traffic (or any traffic for that matter) doesn't traverse this stretch of track anymore. The traffic is obviously still here from the P&W in the form of CT-2, but I guess too much track between Derby JCT and Berkshire JCT is out of service indefinitely. :(

  • Excellent video.......thanks! Rare footage!!

  • It is just sad to realize that back then no one would ever thought that u boats or cr would go where it has. great video !

  • Erie Lackawanna!

  • Great work again, Tim! As a side note, the 4th engine out is U23B 2790, which still exists today as Lehigh Railway 2300. Also, great shot of the crew change in Danbury. You wouldn't be caught dead doing that today!
