  • There are some shocking experiments in myth busters

  • Potato

  • Some people have been responding to my comment and telling me some things I didn't know, and to them I say "Thank You". There's a reason why I didn't go into any more detail than I did, lol.

  • It's good that Adam gets angry, than people wouldn't think that he's just a silly guy that making fun all day =/

I wouldn't want to try that electric shock

  • Even tho Adam is funny and acts like a clown it's pretty scary to see him angry

  • Someone needs a cookie ...

  • That's mean!!!! Poor adam

  • Ahi...

  • They visited my school one year, and the only answer to any question they could give us was "We are not queer."

Are you guys friends? We're not gay.

Do you two have any side projects outside Mythbusters? We're not gay.

Wonderful, you aren't homosexuals, now how about answering a god damn question?

  • @falco621 wtf

  • They apologise and then they prank him again with the samw thing later on LOL

  • wow no wonder adam got so mad

  • Tori is lucky he didn't get fired

  • @meikooceans He wouldnt have it was karis idea to us eit on him even though tori said they shouldnt

  • @meikooceans it was the producer who suggested this, so he actually did get fired

  • @maskaryan i know he got fired, but was it directly from this?

  • @maskaryan i think so

  • @meikooceans adam didn't put the blame on kari & tori the full blame was put on the producer because it was his idea not theirs

  • @meikooceans Actually the producer pushed the crew to do this to Adam despite their reservation. That producer was fired.

  • @Menuki where did you hear that that producer got fired?

  • @8bobthebuilder Adam Savage did a segment about this event on ForaTV and basically said he did

  • Both Adam and Jamie have said that around this season they were sort of encouraged to have spats with each other on the set, because the producers thought reality television was better with it. So a lot of episodes near this era have them squabbling over pointless nonsense, like whether Jamie should have said Adam's idea was stupid or whatever. Pranks were also encouraged. It was a bad idea, and I'm glad that for the most part they've done away with it.

  • Later on the tv Adam actually said that neither Grant, Tory or Kari took the call but someone else did and thats all you need to know like he said so he didnt want to say who, i guess the director or so.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

  • "There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man."

  • Why would anyone do that to poor Adam? :)

  • @emilly6832

The producer at the time ordered them to do it.

  • @Madmann135 I know he later left, but I heard the producer was terminated shortly afterward. Can anyone confirm this?

  • @cabbievonbump the producer was fired according to adam himself, He said that on a fora.tv video.

  • @cabbievonbump Don't anger Adam, or you may never be seen alive again! :P Still, that sounds a bit unlike Adam, even if he was mad about it...I don't know. I guess if they had to fire someone, the people on screen would be the least likely to go.

  • what eppisode is this? and what season?

  • @redpoopsicle Not sure what episode, but I'd guess close to the beginning of season 2. I think Grant was there at the end of season 2 and Tory/Kari/Scottie team wasn't there in season 1.. Not positive though.

  • aww Adam quit being a bitch, it was just a bit of fun

  • A producer on the show at the time made them do that to Adam. I saw an interview with Adam he said the producer forced them to hook up the electric fence thing and do it but the producer got fired not long after that.

  • I recently saw on one of adams videos on FORA tv he was asked about this prank, and said it was actually the former producers idea. went into a little detail about it. Besides the voltage and amperage surprise is going to make it that much more painful, going through the chest, and then emotional anger on top of it. He said and i agree, that it was the low point of the show. Pranks like that shouldn't be done... or should be done with lower amps.

  • aw

    i feel bad.

Adam is usually so nice and happy

but seeing him mad made me upset

it's pretty mean what they did.

    but at least they apologized^.^

  • karis beautiful and evil

  • You can receive a shock with 100,000 volts but if the amperage exceeds 0.1 A you're already in trial for a heart stoppage, 1 A is enough to stop a regular human being heart.

Just for curiosity, electrical showers runs on 12 A, so its 12 deaths, neither cats survive this!

  • "did you feel god??" HAHA

  • Usalally I love Adam.but he knew it was just a prank. Poor Adam.I am on both sides

  • What was the amperage on this? It would have to be insanely low.

  • Man since his charakter is such a happy guy when he is pissed he is PISSED

  • I think almost everyone here may need a lesson on electricity. Yes 10,000 volts is a lot, but volts is not the only thing that matters, the amperage makes difference as well. Another thing that matters is if it is alternating current, which is what run throughout your house in lights, switches, ect. or if it is direct current, such as a car battery, which is definitely the less favorable of the two.

  • @rrockerdude113

    why dont explain simple?

volts hurts but cant kill, amperage is the killing one.

100.000.000.000 volts will hurt but dont kill

100 ampere will make your blood boil and kill you in a very short time

  • @rrockerdude113 wait a second...... DC current is WORSE than AC!?!?! Are you sure? Because I could swear it's the opposite... I mean a varying current causes more damage than a constant one wouldn't it? It's one thing for the electrons to go smoothly through and another for them to go left-right left-right a few hundred times a second!!! So?...

  • @bbphnix I'm by no means an expert on this, but I do know one reason that DC is worse in situations like this is that DC would make the muscles in one's hands contract more strongly and then not let go.

  • @rrockerdude113 True. Amperage is the amount of electrons running through something at once. If you get 70 mA through your body, you're dead. But if you get 6 mA through your heart, you're also dead. What Adam got through his body would be about 20 mA to 30 mA or so: you'll get a severe shock, but you won't die or get a heartattack.

  • @BvOBart You are of course assuming that the power output the device is rated for is actually accurate. In my experience, transformers are rarely rated accurately. Especially for electric fences. There's less stringency on electric fences because they're almost always have a bunch of signs posted and the animals they're intended to fence in aren't going about touching them in ways that cause the current to pass through the heart.

Short version is that in my experience, the danger is still real.

  • @rrockerdude113 Yeah, 10,000 volts won't do much dammage if it's DC and low amp...but it's still really painfull.

  • @rrockerdude113 but dc current isnt really less powerful than ac. It just always turns out that way because dc sources are pretty much always less powerful. 10,000v ac is the same as 10,000v dc. And besides Im guessing that thing just charges a capacitor that discharges when you touch it so its not really dc or ac. correct me if Im wrong, im not trying to argue Im just trying to learn.

  • @rrockerdude113 i would say dc is worse because its a steady flow as ac acterally turns of in between it hz ... and i always say volts hert amps kill and frequency annihilates

  • @rrockerdude113 Finally a person on youtube that understands something . Salutes to you smart sir!

  • @rrockerdude113

It's true that the amperage is what determines what can kill you, but It is somewhat misleading. The amperage is directly related to the voltage. Afrotechmods has a good video about it.

    --Cary

  • 10,000 volts holy crap!!!

  • That's evil but hilarious. XD lol

  • i feel god!

  • LMAO! Too funny!

    I remember that one.

  • 211!!! hahahaha

  • "do you feel god?"

    HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  • @assWompingMadNess my best friend is an atheist and i want him to touch this so i can shout that, "DO YOU FEEL GOD NOW JEAN?!!!" XD

  • OMG :(

  • do u know how many volts that is?

  • i think he said 10GRAND!

  • And with your reaction you prove that you are an idiot who would probably do that to your own friends. If there is someone on this show who can take a joke and does the painful stuff it is Adam. Besides if them tricking him into it it is painful and there is a healthrisk, too. Hell, I once accidentally touched the electrical cords of a removed light switch. It was nowhere near 10.000 volts but hurt like hell and I couldn't move my arm for some minutes.

  • lol "whoa, we can't do that to adam"
