It's always tricky to match pipes to guitar as the "A" key chanter is actually a higher pitch than concert (standard) b flat. well done all things considered!
Awesome for a first try! You can be proud! Please tell me you're close to Tucson, AZ. We need great pipers for our Hugh O'Connor (founder of Tucson) Memorial Pipe Band.
I used circular breathing on the saxophone, but I don't think it can be done on a chanter, and you don't need it on the pipes. The bag does it for you. Playing the chanter is just to get the fingerings down, and to practice without bugging the neighbors (unless you want to!). If you're performing, you use the pipes. I think it's awesome that she had only been playing for 2 months when she posted this! I'd like to see her progress now! Ready for the Edinburgh Tattoo! WTG!!!
Excellent very hard for a chanter to sound well with another instrument, I know some notes were flat, but controlling that versus another instrument that isn't tempered to play with the chanter is impossible. At least as far as I am concerned, feel free to rebuke if I am wrong, I've only been playing the chanter like 3 weeks now.
