Interesting, I've been saying that BP needs to be shutdown in the US and all assets seized immediately. As we speak so to 'speak', they are busily hiding assets.
Any and all politicians that have taken payoffs by BP, government officials that are in BPs pockets, all need to be brought up on criminal charges, prosecuted and all assets seized immediately. Would probably be a huge amount of the House/Senate and hundreds of others within the Government.
@skinnychef , It is Hard too find the correct answer, they keep the pipe size secret better then the Military hides Troop Movements...best guess I can Find said the pipe Outside Diameter to chose from is either 6 5/8 or 9 5/8 inches and that the photos indicate a 9 5/8 OD

@baron... i am not sure if it is "nationalization of oil" that they are asking for. i think it more along the lines of this...BP, IF they are to pay for ACTUAL restoration of the habitat, species, natural resources, and lives that they are destroying by their negligence, then they would no longer be economically viable. therefore, there is NO WAY that BP will pony up and do the right thing and pay! they answer to their stockholders first.

Isn't that a Marxist ploy ? take over the oil industry ? Did not the Liberals cap oil companies liability at $75 million ? OK BP is bad, yes there should not be a cap if gross negligence is involved. Any small business owner has a unlimited liability, why not mega multinationals ? But a Marxist take over of private property ???? Where does it end Fidel ?
in fact, it does sound marxist. do you have any ideas for solutions? how do we get BP to pay the REAL cost of this disaster? the three caballeros sitting up in the house testifying know that if they scapegoat eachother, and limit liabilities, and tie things up in litigation for 50 years-- that the bill will be paid by you and i... and everyone else in the world that likes to eat, drink, and breathe.
BP is now filling the well with cement, so prepare for a huge cement spill now guys. this is going to be a long one...
