  • This was always my favorite review by him. R.I.P, the world has lost a great mind.

  • I Finished the game in 3 hours and used all 8 skips...

    I Love this game...:')

  • Awesome review. Will have to replay the game.

    Rest in peace, vidya bro.

  • 5/5?.....more like 500/500!!!!!!

  • @SquingyandParabarCo that would be the same score...

  • Actually, I think the smaller companies always do better because there is more room for passion. with every body that the ideas must pass through, the concept becomes more muddled. There are always exceptions to this rule, but a good example of this happening is the dreaded "sequels". After a movie or game becomes popular, the second movie generally has a bigger budget, more staff/developers, more hype, etc, which, IMO, degrades the original passion.

  • I just bought World Of Goo today... i'm happy.

  • @LLLookAtYouHacker Wow, you're really behind the times. Glad you're playing it though. It is an absolute masterpiece that people will hopefully still be talking about 20 years from now.

  • Is the perfect puzzle gameEVER!!

  • Why do small companies always win? I.E:

    MineCraft - Mojang Specifications

    World of Goo - 2DBOY

    And so on...

  • world of goo is not the best game ever made, but what it sets out to do, it does perfectly. For a puzzle game that could be cheaply made and still be a great, it wasnt, and that made it just Perfect.

  • My God... this is a great review... and i notice you like word of Goo a lot, everything you said above is exactly what I think of the game. I agree with your opinion. WOG 5/5 Definely. Awesome Game. Everybody must try it.

  • Thank you for such a passionate yet accurate review. World of Goo is one of those games that makes you want to cry when you finish it. After which you start going for all the OCD's and personal experimentations :)

  • Best Indie game of all time in my opinion.

  • Hey, have you been introduced to GooTool an WOGeditor? Go to goofans.com for more info, and it's free! You can design you own levels and stuff if you know anything about programing. It's awesome!!

  • He is right, you must know.

  • This is my favorite game ever. I've played through it countless times and it has still, never failed to amaze. Anyone who disagrees is missing out on one if the most powerfull, epic games I've ever seen.

  • this is the first game to make me shed tears of happieness. from the world being full of life to being destroyed by technology to being reborn. the sign painter is so cool and the ending made me feel as if i helped for the good of everything. that made me cry. sniff.

  • this game is like lessons in physics.

you should have to complete it as homework.

our teacher recommended to play "bridgebuilder" btw ;-)

  • Your review actually made me purchase WoG off Steam just a few minutes ago, time to see if this is truly a perfect game.

  • This is the best game review ever!

  • xD exelent review, this game is really awesome...however...the video is full of Goo Fails xD especialy at 04:32 xDD

  • World of Goo is about "Google and his power in the World "... you noticed that :P?

  • @SeitxiS That is World of Google, not World of Goo.

Beside, I don't think MOM is affiliated with World of Goo Corporation.

  • @SeitxiS having fun looking for a useless coincidence? that idea even step through the minds of the developers when they made the game. Dont be ridiculous...

  • Tetris of the 21st century

    nuff said...

  • @enterprise0709 Far of that...

  • That was the one review I've seen or read that really spoke the whole truth about this game. People who dismiss it as silly, or as a mere puzzle or physics game, are missing out on a wonderful experience. Thanks for this review. I hope it causes more people to play the game. (I'll add that it has an old fashioned demo you can actually sink your teeth into, rather than the dull 30 minute teasers which lately have become standard.)

  • @einexile people who disagree have not even tried to play this amazing game...

  • great review i thought the game looked ridiculous at first but after seeing your review i want to buy it.

you should work as a reviewer for GameSpot or IGN or something, you'd do really well :)

  • dude you should go into the game review game to hear u talk about the game makes me want to play this game so bad you should review games for a mag or something you are great at it really

  • I love World of Goo, sadly though, my computer died so when I fixed it, everything needed to be rebought because I lost all of the install codes!

  • wow this is probably the best review for a game i have ever seen

  • @akrazeeblue indeed!!!

  • indeed a must play...

    a perfect 2d game.

  • C++

  • a brilliant game!!!!!

    this review is exact!

  • ya at first i thought this game looked stupid and boring, but once I got the demo it changed my mind. I got it and its really fuckin good

  • I've watched your reviews for a while now but I just finally got around to viewing this one. Couldn't agree with you more. Very few games have invoked a sense of wonder from me like World of Goo.

  • pay what you want for this game! on developers

    till 19 october

  • Goo <3

  • As you said, indescribably good.

  • I loved World of Goo...Very beautiful game with very beautiful music.

  • This game is worthy of every accolade... it is simply stunning... and so addictive to play. I love the music - I even downloaded the soundtrack. I highly recommend everyone get it, because the gameplay will have you enthralled for hours

  • well im convinced, getting this tomorrow!

  • you should review braid

  • i loved so much this game

  • How do you unlock the "my virtual world of goo corporation" at 0:22 ?

  • Your reveiws are good. 5 stars

  • Good game, has it really made me 'feel' things though? Maybe addiction.

  • you're from manchester, aren't you?

  • this pc review of world of goo was great but if anyone would like to see a wii review please visit my channel. :)

  • World of Goo is the only game where I almost cried..... (because It was good not because it was bad)

  • My Game that always made my Cry was Zelda Series.

  • good game

  • You haven't even beat it o.o

By the way ykka322 its 5 euro or 20 american dollars. god our money sucks

  • Yes, this game is brilliant

  • Did you say "The game costs about $20, which is about 11 pounds in REAL money?"

  • Excellent game and equally awesome review :D

I love this game, its just perfect in every sense :D Music, graphics, gameplay etc. And i agree with you in that hard levels don't frustrate you, as you would expect them to :D

  • Money well spent. And the soundtrack is just amazing ( particularly the song: Ode to the Bridge Builder)

  • lol grats but its illegal so shut up :P

  • 2D Boy would be ashamed of you

  • I have absolutely no issue with pirating. Games are over-priced for their usual content especially, and most of the resource costs don't even justify half of the norm.

But this game is not in the same place. You're not stealing from the big-boys anymore, but the ones who had maybe 1/100 of the massive corporations, and still made something better than they can ever hope to make.

  • I Downloaded this game from Torrent, and I enjoyed it so much, I went out and bought the game.

    Nuff said.

  • @moleman276 Wow man. I was actually humming that song before I scrolled down and saw that comment. :)

  • IMO, World of Goo is worth all the money in the World. It's rare to find a game this good, and for this game to be made by only 2 people, that is impressive.

  • i've bought, played and finished this ingenious game,

and its great to see its getting the reviews it deserve.

thank you for an enjoyable review

  • lol @ "The game costs a mere 20 dollars which is about 11 pounds in *real* money"

  • You get it now on steam for 4.99 euro

  • though at the same time, I spent a lot of time with the World of Goo Corporation mostly cause I kept screwing up.

  • 6 hours is pretty damn crazy fast <.<. I think I spent at least around 10 hours. I had the most trouble with second hand smoking and the last stage of one of the chapters where you had to build a tower around the head of a statue to avoid the statue from breaking your tower and reach the bomb so you could blow it up (glad to say, I didn't cheat on this game :P). Nice review though

  • r u realy fat....?

  • I gotta say, the ending of this review coupled with the music was quite inspirational! lol

  • I agree, I bow before this man... he is a god.

  • Best review yet ;D.

The game might be easy if u arent playing to make the OCD. BUt the game isnt made for competition sake. Its a family game.. EVERYONE can play. It's not to hard for anyone.

    Its a greta learning experience.

Everyone owe themselves to try this game.

  • Just reminds me of an over sized flash game.

  • The game has fantastic presentation on all accounts... but the "game" part is fairly lacking. It is easy and short, occasionally frustrating, and rarely rewarding because the levels are fairly straightforward. I much more enjoyed Fantastic Contraption's puzzles, and that's a free flash game.

  • You should all just play lemmings little kids, its not innovative game for older players

  • @bWWd0 What are you saing? im an older player... im 35 years old and this game is absolutely innovative. I play games since Pacman to Crysis, RE5 and all the games you can imagine through all platforms Genesis, PSX, N64, Dreamcast and PC today... I love games, so tell me something... have you seen anything remotely similar to World of Goo in the history of Videogames? It seems you are not playing enough... or your gameplayer carrier is too short.

  • well spoken and soo very true!

  • i lvoe that game finished it in 1 day but i lvoe it its very funny:):X

  • i sware that this is the MOSR AMAZING simple game i've played or i've ever heared 'bout .. u cant imagine how creative is it ..

  • Great review!

  • man, this game is great. it should be a bit longer though.

  • hey nice review man, now i have to buy this game it looks great!

  • I like World of Goo, but it can get really frustrating at times

  • No offense but.....what?

Unless you're going for OCD achievemnet, I'd say the game was too easy.

  • agreed, the game was way to easy....even alot of the OCD's are fairly easy if you go back though from the start

  • There were a couple frustrating levels that took some quick thinking to solve, but the majority of the game was fairly easy. Fun, but easy.

  • thats just cuz u prob suck at it it :P

  • Simply amazing.

  • I can describe this game in one word :

PASSION the thing ea has lost over the years

  • Beautiful review. The game itself sort of inspires me. Beautiful music and beautiful artistic work. Truly a great game.

  • Hey Mate, that was a wonderful review.

  • World of goo is awesomeness, i hate puzzles and building stuff, but world of goo just has that refreshing uniqueness.

  • haha £11 in REAL money, well said!

  • i live in amaraca the U.S. and the exact thing happend to me in Dollers LOL

  • World of Goo is just perfect!

Totally agree with everything you said.

What all of the greatest games of all time had was true emotion and this evokes many differing kinds.

  • hands down. this is one of the greatest games ever created. pure genius. :)

  • i love this game it is awesome but i have to wait to get the points [insert sad face here]

  • I Totally agree with you. World of Goo is just perfect.

  • wow. gotta get this for christmas. =]

  • I understand comparing it to lemmings, that's a great game. But why theme park?

  • i think he compares it to theme park because of the building and strategy aspects of the game. don't take it from me though, im just guessing.

  • no there isn't

  • Perfect review man

  • Brilliant review

  • i just love this game :) good review

  • Good review of a great game.

One legit complaint: The game has no option to change the resolution or run in a window. This causes it to look a little blurred on my LCD monitor.

  • check config.txt

  • Great, great review.

  • Nicely done review.

Good use of language and points.

    This IS a must play.

  • BUY THIS GAME EVERYONE! Show your respect to the independent developers!

  • that was a very good review, and please buy the game, this game had rly high piracy, and it rly isnt fair. please buy it its cheap.

  • tnx to piracy I bought and translated it, without I wouldn't have known and/or bought it. Pass it on and but it everyone!

  • Brilliant review

  • wonderful review !!!

  • 11 pounds in real money hehehhe. BUUU lol. Guy talks in monotone and though his review is remarkable, I found myself bored in his long drawn out sentences. Guess its a British thing. Good Review

  • funny accent makes it a lil hard to follow for non native english speakers, but still a good review though

  • amazing review.

  • World FO Goo rox

  • I've just read that the creators of this game have mentioned that 90% of the people playing it have pirated it. Yes, 9 out of 10 people didn't bother paying for it.

To all the people who didn't pay for this game and playing a pirated version, shame on you. Independent game developers who have the courage to come up with innovative and creative new game ideas need support, and you're just ripping them off.

  • Yet you'd pay for a movie you'd finnish in a single sitting. that's why you suck noodles.

So why on earth should they give you 2 hours of free fun ???

  • and why on earth do you think you should get that for free whereas people spend money making it ?

  • kinguta youre the type of person i cant stand!!!

  • Good game. Certainly fun all the way through. Seemed a bit too pricey though... :/ On the contrary, I just bought Multiwinia (another indie game) for $10. Another great game to check out. Also, both work very smoothly on my (somewhat) outdated laptop.

  • Looks interesting, I might buy it!

  • kind of reminds me of loco roco correcho, only more creative. Good review.

  • lol

  • I might just buy WOG for a non gamer friend as a birthday present. Great review! It was really detailed and thorough! But I couldn't help but laugh when you insisted pounds were "real" money. ^__^ Keep up the great work.

  • I have a quick question. I'm not sure if her 64MB graphics card (in her IBM ThinkPad T42 Laptop) can handle WOG? Could anyone tell me if it'll be able to perform well on it.

    Thank you so much!

  • My ThinkPad T43 handles it fine.

  • Im goin to the shop channel right now dude. You made me buy it.

    Great Review!

  • Great review! thx

  • I played most of the way through this and was thoroughly addicted. On a weekend I played it until I beat it and thought "aww why so short a game"... then I noticed I'd been playing for 8 hours straight that felt like a single hour had passed.

  • It really is a great game. I'm playing it on the Wii, and it took me about six hours to completely finish it, as well.

  • I think it takes more than 6 hours

  • Being a puzzle game, I suppose it's variable... but it took me a little over six hours, and I think I'm fairly typical. I can't see it taking anyone more than eight hours to finish it, and that is really pushing it.

  • Could not agree with you more...Probably one of the best games i have played in a really..well..really far to long of a time to remember. Innovative, Fun, Quirky, Challenging, and so much more. Hate to sound like an Info commercial but... heck guys..20 bucks for a game of this quality is a drop in the bucket no matter what type of money you use

  • Can't wait for it to come to europe!!

  • Great Review! Great Game!!!

  • I hope that people continue to make games like this. Im worried theyre not going to because most games are just out to make money.

    100th post

  • Nice Review, i completly agree with you, and i only have the demo. i am planning on getting it soon tho. greate job.

  • i love world of goo... nice review! :D

  • great shit, subbed

  • CANT WAIT FOR WOG2!!!

  • Utterly fantastic review! - You have a new fan!

  • This is one of the few games that actually made me cry. Yeah, I'll admit it. I cried when it ended - it's that good.

  • It's okay, I nearly cried as well. Just because it was over. :(

  • I agree 100%.

This is a game people will still be talking about 10 years from now.

  • Seriously, your reviews are by far the best I've ever come across in 20 years of gaming.

You should find someone to pay you a million bucks for this, or give you the nobel prize or something.

I also like your voice. You don't do this overemotional holywood bullshit like everybody else.

And if you're really antisocial, I blame society for this.

Keep up the excellent work, conquer the world!

  • Thanks!

  • Eleven pounds in REAL money, damn straight XD. This looks cool, I might buy it soon, good review.

  • Amazing review, i pretty much agreed with everything you spoke of, although i wish there were more unlockables and different modes of play. I loved the sound track, thought it was simply stunning.

  • what means spoilers:D

  • spoilers are like it says warning spoilers he means dont watch it if u dont wanna know about the levels and stuff like that

  • ok.

  • how can you get 700 goo balls. I finished the game and i have 330. But is see people with much more

  • retards using cheats im sure

  • o, i never knew ur active in utube, i saw u in tf2..

  • Great review. And great accent, too.

    -a boring American

  • I cant understand anything you type

  • I can't understand anything I say either. I think the review was generally positive, though.

  • This game is truly amazing.

Like Portal it's only shortcoming is it's length. Which like Portal, keeps it from getting repetitive
