there's a 1993 5 cylinder s4 on ebay right now with 351K miles on it which is the most i've seen on a 5 banger engine, these motors are the most bullet proof/ best engines of all time

its german engineering before those damn electronic challenges. cars built before and within the beginnings of the 1990´s are with good maintenace normally unbreakable...(VW, Audi, Mercedes and Volvo)

I own one of the last "good" Audis, a '93 Audi 80 B4 2.3E. Except ABS no electronics at all! A Workmate of mine has the same car, he made 365'000 kilometers now and it just won't stop driving. =)

WOW! I've been seriously thinking about buying an Audi, and now... This confirms it, I'm definitely going to get one. My friend is selling his 1999 A6 for 5000 dollars, with 71,000 miles, so that's what I'm gettin!

WHAT??? 1999 A6 for five grand?? and 71000 miles isn't that much either. An A6 here in Canada from 99 costs at least 14 grand with that kind of mileage. Great deal I'd say.

In reality, it's only about 300,000 miles, although that still very high, espically for a car with a petrol engine. I have to ask:

Does it burn oil?

Did you get the clutch done (or the gearbox overhauled) at any time?

Are you going to aim for 1 million miles (1.6 million km)?

thats the point it does not burn oil at all. nothing is changed on the gearbox and yes iam goin to aim to 1million miles ihope :)
