These duschbags took everything he said out of context. John McCain- "Make it a hundred, We've been in Japan for 50 years. South Korea for about 50 years. Aslong as we have don't have any casulties, I don't see anything wrong with staying."
The fact they misquoted and misunderstood him is shameful and furthermore they are continuing the spread of a slanderous video that looks HORRIFIC in bold print, but when you actualy listen you see the sense behind it.
90% or more of are military are conservatives. Why? Because they don't want Congress to tell our military how to do things. Plus they actually support our military!
In 1917,Puerto Ricans were granted US citizenship with the enactment of the Jones Act.We have contributed to the development, defense and prosperity of the United States since 1898.However because of our status as a territory we can not vote for the president but the president can send us to war.And the funny part, we can vote in the US primaries! That is not fair nor democratic. They should bring democracy to PR(a territory of the US for 110 years)before trying to do so on the rest of the world
McCain said today we should freeze spending. Uh, how can we do that when we are in Iraq? This guy is so out of touch he is more dangerous than Bush. Never mind his war-mongering attitude, his PTSD makes him unsuitable to run this country. If elected--and the Republicans are going to try to get him elected the same way they did Bush, by deceit, fear, and vote stealing--he will bring this country to his knees. We are almost there now. How far down can we go before we are a Third World country?
McCain won't be specific b/c he is a war monger and is willing to keep American troops in harm's way for 100 years. "As long as troops aren't being harmed..." When haven't our troops been in harm over there? They are dying over there, Sen. McCain and we are in debt up to our eyeballs to a communist nation, like China.
He never said to fight for 100 years, nor did he ever insinuate a 100 year war.
Even Iraq asks us to stay with a base after this war has ended.
We have bases in countries all over right now that are not at war, some have already been there 50 and 60 years already, as he mentions. Many countries like having US bases there.
04/01/08 Obama made the same spin remark and is getting slammed.
The difference btwn Japan and other nations with a U.S. presence is that we, once, were at WAR with those nations. We are not at war with Iraq. We are occupiers and occupations can go on, indefinitely. It is not Nation against Nation. This is an unwinnable situation over there. That's why we didn't have the support of the U.N. Our allies knew this was going to happen. Everyone knew xcept us.
GOP says that McCain does not want and endless war!He just want to keep people there like in Japan and other past wars. To me the past wars are a hell of alot different than this one. My friends an "Endless War" to me is to be in a place where people will fight you no matter how much of presence you have in there country! That is a realistic view not a idealistic GOP view!
first of all the guy on the left misquoted Mcain... McCain said, "maybee 100"... it is a figure of speech for until we get it right... after he clarified it, he mentioned how Iraq must learn to defend itself and he would keep small amounts of troops there for peacekeeping and advisory methods "out of harms way", the same way that we have a presence in Japan, Korea and other country's we've had conflict with...
I personally, applaud John McCain on standing up for what is honorable, and historically intelligent! as Boydhopkins said, we have maintained bases in EVERY strategic spot since WWII. Not to oppress the people, but to help with diplomatic relations and to ensure that guerrilla war fare stays to a minimum. I think McCain has this right, we stay there as long as we are needed.
As I've said before on another video... That is what the U.S. has been doing since WW2. After we win a war we keep a base in that area for the future. We did it in Japan, we did it in Germany, and We did it in South Korea. All those places have a U.S. military base there and what McCain was saying wasnt that we would be at war for 100 years, rather we would have a military presence. Anyone that pays attention to history would know that, but its just too juicy for the liberals to attack.
How can you justify your opinion? McCain has said it himself. "We are not finished in Iraq" and that he wants to bring more troops into the hazardous enviroment. A base is a small count of troops. Troops in other countries do not even come close to the numbers in Iraq. And if we bring in even more, isn't that called a war?????
Not all bases are small, and whats going on right now still is a war. I never said it wasnt, but I return to my previous comment, McCain didnt say we would be at war for 100 years he said we'd have a military presence after the war is over, but typical liberals are like women they only hear what they want to hear and then they rake you over the coals for a head full of misinformation.
What a mess we are in and you continue rallying behind a lost cause. Being a vet doesn't make one ready to run this country. McCain doesn't even have the temperament for such a position. Look at the way, he handled the question posed to him. Get real!!!
you dont know anything about me, i'm a moderate, I dont like whats happening in iraq anymore than you do... I was saying down there in my original comment that that is what America does after we win a war, if we lose we'll probably pull out like we did in Vietnam. And resorting to calling me a bitch wow thats some intelligent argument you must do your family proud working as a waiter or a temp bringing home that 50 dollars a week. Take 10 of that 50 and invest in some books to read, esp history
clearly the U.S. Military would be in better hands w/ J. McCain than w/ ole GW n co., but with Obama/Lugar/Hagel/McPeak, the U.S. Military would be in even BETTER hands.

Hitler was a Christian but I would never expect a Christian evangelist to admit it. You don't ask a criminal who committed the crime, that is just plain stupid. Discrimination, hatred, bigotry, hypocrisy, scripture taken out of context, teaching fear to children are all typical conservative Christian values.

i think these guys were taking Mccain out of context. i think what he meant is that he would do everything it takes to set it right....saying if it takes 100 years so be it. its just a saying and theyre giving him too much shit about it. i support him because iraq is in a mess and if we were to leave now, all the money and our soldiers lives wasted would have been for nothing, and i think we can do better than that.

It reveals what kind of people Christians truly are. Liars, bigots, double standards, hypocrites, into hate crimes etc. The list has no end. Hitler's work continues today though Christianity.
He was a Christian with the typical Christian values: hypocrisy, lies, hatred, discrimination, hate crimes, bigotry, fear, manipulation, abuse, hatred for just about every minority that there is under the sun, misquoting the Bible, affiliation with the Christian church. Of course, I would never ask a criminal who committed the crime. For the same reasons I will not ask a Christian who Hitler was, what do you expect?Talk is cheap.
That is quite a judgement to make about a whole group of people- many of whom are a caring and compassionate people. You can make a good argument without putting down an entire culture. Hitler may have called himself a Christian, but where does Jesus endorse any of his actions? I can't stand McCain, or any candidate but Ron Paul. But McCain, just like so many self-proclaiming Christians, do not demonstrate the kind of understanding and compassion that their religion would hold them to.
yes but it was a bad way to put it and not many people will get that they weren't saying whether it was good or bad in thier views they were just stating it will hurt him in the election
