  • bloody shiite i'm almost done but good rendition mate

  • This sucks, you can't act, most mechanical thing I've seen. It's reeking of "Look at me! I'm an actor!". Very unbelievable.

    source:

I've been training and studying acting for seven years. Not to mention I also teach it.

  • Wow!

    Pure wow!

Where did you train? I want to go there.

  • R u a drunk ? .... That is the question .... That was awful ..... didnt know hamlet liked george shirt and tie combos either

  • Hilarious

  • LOL hilarious ending. good job. best ive seen from a non-actor.

  • Good job on this - your voice and overall emotional anguish are really impressive - well done!

  • Anyway. You can not say this monologue sitting peacefully. You can not say it polite. It is a strugle, it is a matter of life or death you have to decide. You have to find the answer now to a very important question with a huge follow up. It is a drama. Shakespear's plays are extreamly emotional. About the stops, you ask the question and think about the answer.

  • true that !

  • As you've noticed I like the actor Toby Stephens. Discovered him watching adaption 2006 Jane Eyre. He is such a huge talent. You can watch his performance over and over again. His acting is so powerful. Watching him you can feel the stragle of the character he plays. Not only see but feel it is amazing.

  • Well Mr. Lenegan, Shakespeare was a genius of human soul. He went to extremes in his plays to show and explore the limits of human innerself. Hamlet as one of them show the stragle and war inside the young princes heart. The question is one of the most imporatnt: death or life. Be or not to be.

  • well done..........and I feel your pain lol If it's not the phone ringing it's something else interupting the taping process.

  • Most definitely "TO BE."

  • The beauty of text is how we as individuals percieve it. My Hamlet's journey is different from the next mans. As regards to pauses at the end of each line, traditional crap. How can that be trutful or naturalistic? That would be false and contradicting the aim of every actor...to be REAL, to be TRUTHFUL!

  • very true the TRUTH but that is not necessarily realistic or naturalistic it can be one or other or both and not only does the actor have to be truthful he also has the obligation to be interesting. when i checked your test there were no pauses there was little introspection just speaking and spontaneity, thats why an outside eye is immensely useful, hence the directors role.I respect your commitment and wish you all the best in your artistic journey

  • Amusing ending. ;P Not too bad - but I think your essential difficulty is that you're not throwing yourself into the character of the soliloquizer. For this particular monologue, you are *reading* the text, but not feeling his journey. May I suggest finding places where Hamlet laughs, is sensitive, sarcastic...basically, he's all over emotionally in the play, AND in this soliloquy, too. You sustain one emotion. Delve deeper.

  • On a more technical note - be careful about your breath marks. You tend to take breaths in odd places which disrupts the flow of the speech. Traditional readings would encourage breaths or pauses at the end of each line. Try this. Bon chance!

  • hamlet isn't sarcastic.

  • Well done. Check out my version and comment if you like.

  • oh ok "I am not the man performing" wow im an idiot ! :D

  • Brilliant IMO. Whilst I posted this video I am not the man performing but the talent is clearly there for all to see.

  • i don't believe you as hamlet, your acting it. i believed Kenneth Branagh more then i did you.

  • Think you did a good job on this monologue. Its very difficult to do because its been done so many times & over done or over acted. I haven't attempted to do it seriously. Maybe I should. Talking to the camera is something I had not thought about. Not sure if it would work for me. Anyway glad I saw this. Break a leg with your work. Wylie

  • Powerful....very powerful. The silence is eerie at the beginning, very cool. One thing if i was to criticize at all, would be that you had a little bit of how haunted this prince is, where i think it needs more. That was one of the best performances i've seen in a while. Now which acting school are you thinking about going to?

  • Post this as a video response on my To Be Or Not To Be and it will appear under mine. When people click on mine they can go directly to yours as well. I get about 100 hits a week. I am sure you will get more.

  • Wow, you are amazing. Your emotion was incredible. Unfortunate cell phone call at the end there.
