It was playing through the cd player. Plus, everything on that iPod was ripped at full 1411 Kbps aiff, with it's internal dac bypassed with the wadia and fed into the cd player.
You obviously have no idea what any of this stuff does.
Running an iPod on that system is like driving a Bentley Kitcar- Sure it looks great and all the women look, but it's still a damn Beetle under it all.
