@bdist nope, the techs bypassed the safety system, while doing routine maint., they needed to spin the rotor and left the blades pitched, the wind was too high and they didn't get it locked out fast enough and it ran away, resulting in catastrophic failure.

Something does hit the turbine in the late 7th second...

Watch it a few times and you'll see something hits the wing in the right corner just before it all smashes into the pole. If the wind did it then the pole must be unstabel. (moving in the wind like it should)

arn't those suckers being build to prevent this kind of shit because it's one of the main factors wich can happen.. It also means that this turbine broke in the hardest unthinkable storm... (ahh, so what)
