But with Magoichi, he's all happy-go-lucky at Anegawa. Then Nobunaga has to come in provoke Magoichi into getting on his bad side. Then he burns down Sakai Village and Magoichi, being the nice peasant-protector that he is, has no choice but to fight back. His ending is particularly depressing, as it's the only ending in SW2 in which the person whose name it's under is the one that dies. Nobody else died in their own ending in SW2.
By that I mean that in SW1, specifically in his lower path, there were a few instances in which he has said that nobody can stand against him, but it's not really that bad. But in SW2, he never seems to say anything good about himself, only about other people, specifically Mitsunari and Keiji. And in my opinion, being a little conceited isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's good to think highly of yourself...unless you don't deserve it, or you're extremely modest.
Magoichi only became as depressing as his story mode, which is by far the most depressing of any story mode in SW2. Oh, and Mitsuhide became more depressing. I wonder what it would have been like if Mitsuhide didn't join the Oda, if he didn't defect like he said he wouldn't before Inabayama to Ranmaru. History would have been thrown off course so much, unless Mitsuhide still decided to kill Nobunaga anyway.
That's true... I've been playing SW1 a lot more now since I've found it's actually quite an addictive game... and upon completion of Magoichi's Tale I see it is quite carefree and relaxed... He seems like a good guy defending peasants... Now when I play SW2 I'll see how this all fares out. How do you mean Yukimura is kinda conceited?
So, the people who end up with worse personalities: Yukimura, Keiji, Nobunaga, Oichi DEFINITELY, Magoichi, Hideyoshi, and Ina. No offense to Yukimura, but in SW1, he was kind of conceited. Then in SW2, he's all depressing and obsessed with people who were originally his enemies. Nagashino seriously messed up his life. Keiji used to be all wild, then he has to meet Yukimura and Kanetsugu and become 'the shoulder to cry on' in SW2. Oichi just became a total sap in SW2. She used to be all peppy.
Well, at least they don't all end with Koshi castle like in WO1. That got boring after a while, especially since the Shu version is probably the easiest version, for me anyway. On the subject of SW, there's only one bad thing about SW2--a lot of the characters become sappier or more depressing. Shingen is the only one who really improves, and Kenshin pretty much stays the same. I'll be running out of characters shortly, so I'll continue this on the next comment.
No, Orochi's story mode doesn't have Koshi Castle, although Hinokawa is as close as you'll get. I think of it as some cross between Chi Bi and Koshi Castle.
It's true! Chi Bi was always the second most annoying stage on DW (following only Yi Ling - which really was SO annoying sometimes!) Hinokawa is my favourite stage Koei has made so far... It really does combine a lot of special effects with ships, and a hell of a lot of decoys! I also like the way they changed the actual Chi Bi to make it more interesting between the final battle between Wu and Orochi X.
Well, it's more like the accurate and inaccurate ending. Besides, I like the lower paths, especially doing Azuchi as Yukimura when you go into the castle. I just love how when you run into Oichi she's all 'after all, we are enemies', and sounds/looks so much younger than Yukimura. But if Oichi was really fourteen or fifteen like KOEI said she was in SW1, then Yukimura wasn't even born. Well, there have to be some inaccuracies to make the game interesting.
That's true... It's the same for DW, like the battle of Yi Ling... Huang Zhong of Shu is there, and Lu Xun from Wu was there (the one who suggested the fire tactic) yet Huang Zhong died when Lu Xun was only six! I haven't unlocked Yukimura's top path yet... but Azuchi castle is quite fun =D
I like all of the new characters in WO2, especially Yoshitsune, Himiko, and Taigong Wang. My sister thinks Fu Xi's sword looks like cardboard. Originally, Wei was the closest to having their mode entirely cleared, but SW had all of their stages cleared on at least easy and chaos, so I just decided to do that one and get it over with. The first battle I cleared on WO2 was Koshi castle, and it's how I got at least ten characters' fourth weapons. It's actually really easy even on chaos mode.
It surprises me how Koshi Castle isn't featured on Orochi's Story Mode (or is it? - I can't actually remember), only Shu, where they try to stop Kiyomori from re-incarnating Himiko. I was bored this afternoon, so I was playing SW again, and I did as you said, and I'm now completing Shingen Takeda's Tale. I was wondering why the story sometimes splits half-way through... Is there some sort of good/bad ending to each character?
So, the ironic thing was: A while back, my sister and I did this iTunes shuffle thing on her MP3 with the SW2 characters. Yukimura got 'So Cold'. I just did another one with all the WO2 people except Orochi X with my playlist songs on shuffle. Yukimura got..once again...'So Cold'. I just thought it was weird that out of all the songs I have on there, he ends up getting the one he already had? Da Ji's song makes no sense. I think it fits Kanetsugu more, but they were randomly selected.
That's quite strange... As I play Dynasty Warriors 6 on the Xbox 360 (don't have a PS3 myself), I often play my own music instead of the game music... I might try that sometime... Oh, you know the Dream Mode Stage with Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu and Shingen Takeda, at He Fei Castle? The music from that [The Men of Intelligence] from DW3 is my all time favourite Koei track! I'm glad they decided to use it there! (That, quite ironically, is now my favourite Dream Mode Stage)
Honestly, I stayed up all night finishing that thing. Over and over I had to hear 'Entropy will always triumph', 'Another falls to the Minamoto', and 'Come back later and try again', since I chose Orochi, Yoshitsune, and Xiao Qiao as my team. I tried using Himiko when I was doing Sekigahara on hard, but Orochi X killed me in three hits--I didn't even have time to switch characters. And really, the most ironic SW thing happened to me yesterday, which I will elaborate in the next comment.
But the best part of SW2 is the dream modes each character has. Some of them, like Oichi's and Noh's, are funny, other's are completely inaccurate[Ina's], and some make sense. The only good thing about SW2XL is that it tells you in a short, not-that-helpful sentence how to obtain their fourth weapons. I only have Nene's right now, because I didn't feel like doing anyone else. And I officially have SW on WO2 ENTIRELY complete, every stage, every difficulty.
The sentences I heard most were "The enemy crumples before me", "You're simply inferior" and "Victory, as usual". They were, respectively, Kotaro Fuuma, Da Ji and Taigong Wang. Xiao Qiao's comment is always so enjoyable to hear, makes me smile every time. I have already decided to use Da Qiao, Toshiie Maeda and Musashi Miyamoto to complete Wei's story mode, Sun Wukong, Himiko and Kiyomori Taira for Shu, and Fu Xi, Mitsuhide Akechi and Hanzo Hattori for SW, all chosen from my favourites =D
Okay, well, I'd get SW2, because it's the most interesting. If you can't get that, then I'd suggest SW2: Empires. But don't bother getting SW2XL, it's not worth it. The only character worth playing on that is Kojiro, and besides, it never seems to want to load for me. With Empires, you can do a lot more stuff, but the main jist of regular SW2 is more normal. But to be safe, I'd just get both of them at the same time, if possible.
Okay, I trust both SW2 and SW2: Empires are available on Xbox 360? I have completed Shu's and Wu's story modes on WO1 (I don't know if it records difficulty there - but I have!) and Wu and Orochi on WO2. Completing Orochi's story mode was rather enjoyable, as I was able to use two of my favourite characters, and use a third to fight the third.
I actually need to ask you for some advice... I was reading the comment you posted a while ago on this video - on it, you said you had pretty much the entire SW collection. Well, seeing as I only have SW1, I was deciding the other day to expand my collection... But I am at a loss which one to get first... Which is your favourite and which would you suggest I go for first? Many wishes on your birthday!
And actually, now my profile picture on here is one of the doll. But it won't show up for the other youtubers for another six hours. Still, I love my channel background, especially how each section is unique in it's own way. I have one for my four favorite SW characters, one for six DW characters that I like, one for SH3, one that's a title of a movie I like, and one for my favorite WO2 character.
Nice doll! I'll be sure to check you're channel design soon! I have to go now, I'll possibly speak to you tomorrow, but if not, have a great day, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! =D=D=D
Yeah, my sister or mom or whoever didn't like those names, so they renamed them. Well, my sister's friend renamed one of them, since she's going to keep her. The two grey cats don't really have names, so I still think we should call them Xiao Qiao and Da Qiao.
Alright, well I just got back. My mom already bought me something. It's an Asian porcelain doll. I named her Oichi, because we had to rename the kittens. Besides, she kind of looks like Oichi, except with longer and darker hair.
Oh, look at the time. I suppose I'll have to leave soon. My mom and I are going to the store to pick up my birthday cake. She owes me. Last year, my cake wasn't even a cake. It was an oversized, oddly shaped, hard-as-a-rock 'cookie'. Besides, I haven't had a store-bought birthday cake since I was nine. And tomorrow is my golden birthday, after all. And as it turns out, I actually can have a cardboard cutout of a SW character--it just costs $125, so I won't be getting that.
You've certainly got your story planned! Glad to see that, though! Shizugatake...? Unfortunately, my WO2 has broken - which is quite a nightmare, as it's relatively new - so I'm ordering it for Xbox 360 instead, along with a copy of WO1 just in case. I'll see if I can find what phrase he says to Oichi! Happy birthday for tomorrow, if I don't happen to see you, and I hope you manage to get what you want! (Maybe a DW game or two!) Speak to you soon!
Okay, so Ms. Harren is Ginchiyo, Saria is Gracia, Ignatious is Magoichi, except for when Rutasha gets her mouth. Then Rutasha becomes Himiko and Ingnatious becomes Kiyomori. Ganondorf is Orochi, and Keiji, Kanetsugu, Tadakatsu, and Ieyasu are all really minor characters that have one line. Oh, and Lutko, if I decided to also use the sequel in which he ages by about fifteen years, would be Taigong Wang.
Well, you have to play as Kunoichi in Shizugatake on WO2, as that's the only battle in which Zhang He is blue. Defeat the officers with her until he gives her special praise. He'll say 'Lady Kunoichi, there are no words to describe your beauty'. When I first heard him say that, my eye almost twitched. He also gives Oichi special praise, but I forget what he says. And in turn, Kunoichi gives Zhang He special praise.
So, Link would be Nagamasa, since he's the only character that fits that role. Ruto is Oichi[in the fanfiction, Ruto and Link were married]. Rutania is Ina and Rutasha is Kunoichi. Zelda is Okuni and Zeleena is Nene. The King of Hyrule is Nobunaga and the midwife is Noh. Malon[who I made into a 'freakishly homosexual man that thinks he's a girl'[line Ms. Harren says to Malon in the fanfiction] is Yukimura, Farnsley is Ranmaru, and Slarpsley is Mitsuhide. All of the other characters will be next.
I don't know if you've ever played the Zelda games, but I wrote a fanfiction on that, and recently replaced those people with mostly SW and two Orochi, characters. Some of the characters don't make much sense, but I could have chosen anyone I wanted. Besides, not every character was even used, like Hanzo and Kotaro, who wouldn't fit in anywhere. And I don't know the DW characters as much as the SW characters in order to use them.
Hanzo really is the most ninja-like... Although I suppose both Nene and Kunoichi realise it's good to enjoy the lighter side of life! Especially in "the escape from Wan Castle" stage in Wu's WO1 story mode, where Kunoichi arrives, and says to Hanzo "I'll help ya - if ya agree I'M the better ninja!" I've not played the Zelda games myself... And that manga sounds rather fun! Zhang He says that to Kunoichi? What are the requirements for that?!
Now what I'm wondering, is why they didn't use Yukimura's real name. Once, my sister was reading this manga and replaced all the characters with SW characters, and their was a line that was 'Don't cry, Yuki', so she read 'Don't cry, Yukimura', and I could not stop laughing. Mitsunari ended up being the main character. Keiji and Kanetsugu became sisters, and yeah...it was fun. I'll have to remind her that we need to finish that sometime.
Hanzo is the most like a ninja out of all four of them. Nene, to me, acts the least like a ninja. But I like playing as her just to hear Hideyoshi give his special praise. It's a shame that Kunoichi is the only ninja who doesn't get special praise from anyone, except Zhang He, which historically doesn't count. Still, he did say she was pretty, which is nice. On another subject, my sister and I were thinking of who we think should become playable characters in SW.
Yes, Hanzo is extremely annoying--loyal to Ieyasu no matter what--but still annoying. And by everything I've read, Kunoichi never had anything to do with the Oda. She technically wasn't real, but people believe that she was one of the Sanada Ten Braves. Kunoichi was technically said to represent the entire group, which is probably why you never see ten people listed under Yukimura as his sub-generals, but none of them were actually women at all. Hm, maybe Kotaro was just using the Hojo.
He is very annoying, but beautifully wonderful when you use him yourself! And oh, okay, I was thinking, seeing as Nobunaga had such a large army, he must have had a ninja somewhere... (did he?) It's true... Wherever Yukimura goes, Kunoichi goes... I think Kotaro WAS using the Hojo - he seems set on living off chaos, and maybe he was just using the Hojo as a front for that current time...?
Yeah, they have Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, maybe Mitsunari, Katsuie, Mitsuhide, Noh, Ranmaru, and possibly Oichi and Nagamasa if KOEI decided to include them. If they were playing off SW1, they'd also have Keiji. But if they went by SW2, Keiji would probably be on Kunoichi's side with the Takeda army. I wonder what it would have been like if the Uesugi had a ninja. The Oda had one, the Hojo had one, the Tokugawa had one, and the Takeda had at least ten.
I've always wondered what Kunoichi's story mode would be if she was in SW2. I'd like to think that she would have Kawanakajima, Mikatagahara, Nagashino[since Gifu isn't in SW2], Ueda, and Osaka. And maybe her dream could be some contest with Nene, Kotaro, and Hanzo to see who the best ninja in Japan is. To make it better, Kunoichi would have to face the entire Oda, Hojo, and Tokugawa armies. I think the Oda has the most non-generic officers, so they'd be the biggest threat.
Seeing as the stages used on SW2 are featured in WO1-2, I know the layout of Kawanakajima, Mikatagahara and Nagashino a lot better than I would do for SW1. Out of the ninja's, my favourite of all time is Kotaro (I'm not sure if I've made that obvious yet :-P), followed by Nene, although Hanzo is really good! I don't like to feel as though he's being left out, so I'd probably rate him, Nene and Kunoichi as all joint 2nd. I just realised, Kunoichi isn't actually Kunoichi's name, is it? It's...
A name for female ninjas? To continue with your comment above this one - firstly, the Tokugawa ninja was probably the most efficient (that's Hanzo, right?) as he wouldn't rest until a job was done, and incredibly annoying on SW1. Did Kotaro actually follow the Hojo, or was he just using them as means to survive, while thriving on chaos? Was Kunoichi part of the Takeda or Oda ninja collection as well? She worked for Nobunaga at some point, but Yukimura was with Shingen... :-S
And for battles, my favorite in SW1 is Gifu Infiltration[as Kunoichi], in SW2 it's Nagashino, and in SW2XL it's Motochika's version of Sekigahara. To me, Motochika is one of those people who initially is terrible, but is really good once you level him up a bit. He's definitely better than Gracia, I can say that much. I'm probably going to run out of characters, so I'll just go onto another comment.
On SW1, the castle battles are always very difficult for me, and I has absolutely no co-ordination using an Xbox 360 controller and console with an Xbox game. Still, SW1 in general is very funny, especially Masamune Date, he's just... BRILLIANT on SW1. I like his weapons on SW2/WO1-2, but his looks just aren't the same! My favourite battle on SW1 so far is... I can't even remember the name of the stage... It's where Shingen fights Ieyasu, and tries to claim his helmet and/or Tadakatsu is in it.
Yes, Oichi was first married to Katsuie. Then Nobunaga 'divorced' them and she married Nagamasa. After Nagamasa killed himself, she went back to Katsuie. I like Hideyoshi as well, and I'm not afraid to say it, but unlike a lot of other people, I like it better when he has that helmet on his head. I like Magoichi's personality, but his story mode in SW2 is so depressing, especially his ending. Still, as far as depressing cutscenes go, 'Peace in the Aftermath' is the most depressing, by far.
I haven't watched many of the cutscenes, and I don't actually remember their names, and I STILL haven't played SW2, or 2XL (do you own a Wii by any chance?) but I didn't know that before! Hideyoshi was a stunner for me in WO1, the SW story mode was the only one I didn't change characters, because Nobunaga Oda and Hideyoshi were so good for me! I didn't use Mitsuhide so much in WO1, but I did in WO2.
But if they were using their married names, they'd be Oichi Shibata or Oichi Azai, still Ginchiyo Tachibana, Noh Oda, Ina Sanada, Gracia Hosokawa, and Nene Hashiba/Toyotomi. I feel bad for Magoichi. KOEI made him seem like such a womanizer, when historically he did have a wife. I guess they just wanted to spice up his personality a bit. I also feel bad for the men who never got married or had kids. Unless they had a brother, their family name ended right there.
Oichi married Katsuie? I thought she was married to Nagamasa? Koei does a lot of things to characters that aren't looked highly upon - for instance in DW5 Koei are extremely sexist... getting a fourth weapon for a male character could be either medium weight, or light, but getting a fourth weapon for a female character, the result was ALWAYS heavy! Magoichi is a fun character to play though! As well as Hideyoshi Toyotomi (the name I prefer to use).
And there is an easy way to tell Ranmaru is a boy, besides the fact that 'maru' is a masculine part of a Japanese name. None of the Japanese girls, besides Ginchiyo, include their family name in their own name. If they did, they'd be Oichi Oda, Ina Honda, Noh Saito, Gracia Akechi and Ginchiyo Tachibana, of course. I wish I knew what Nene's and Okuni's family names were.
I realised upon completing Wu's story mode on WO1 that Ranmaru is indeed male, but Koei personalise him so well, and make him seem so... feminine! That's very true, what you say... And there isn't a lot of history about Okuni or Nene - the two characters which happen to be my favourite of the Samurai Warriors female collection! I really do love Okuni when she's got a dangerous... "umbrella" and a high level!
Yeah, when I first started playing WO1, I did Wu first since I randomly landed on them. I also randomly chose Sun Ce as one of my characters, which is probably why I ended up liking him so much. But whenever I'd get the growth points, I'd deliver them out to people who were at lower levels. Orochi and Da Ji were probably the easiest people for my sister and me to level up.
Yes, Kunoichi is available in SW1. You have to unlock her by completing Yukimura's story mode, which unlocks Shingen. Then you have to complete Shingen's and Hanzo's story modes, and Kunoichi will be available for use. In the musou challenge thing when they give you one minute to kill as many people as you can using only your musou attack, my sister got Kunoichi to kill somewhere around 3,000 people. It's a shame they got rid of her in SW2. Kunoichi was awesome.
Oh, I'll have to try that out... I've completed both Yukimura and Hanzo's, but Shingen just isn't that great for me on SW1. She really is awesome, another of my first characters to level up on WO1. I like Da Ji, as on level 99 with a 4th Weapon she really is dangerous, but her moveset is so hard to control, and unlike every DW game (except DW4) the moveset connected to enemies nearby, but Da Ji's doesn't, which can make her rather frustrating.
As for Xing Cai's 'name', have you ever noticed that her weapon is like a really small version of Keiji's weapon? I love both of the Qiaos. Xiao Qiao's musou, like Kunoichi's, can be hard to control unless you're used to it. It's fun doing the musou challenge on SWXL with Kunoichi, as she is one of the best crowd-clearers in that game. But yeah, Shu and Wei are good, but Wu is just awesome. I feel bad for Wei-they only have one girl.
It's true! I do like using the classic Keiji, Tadakatsu, Lu Bu (or possibly Orochi) combination on WO2, as it's just so amazing (with them all at level 99, of course) I haven't used Kunoichi on WO or SW yet, is she even playable to SW1? I love the Qiao's, yes, they're amazing! Just for battles sake only, I prefer Da Qiao. Wu certainly is the best! Doesn't Shu have one girl only? ..Oh I'm forgetting Yue Ying, it's been ages since I last used her! Zhen Ji seems happy enough being the only one!
I agree that Xing Cai's musou attack isn't very powerful. I think Xiao Qiao was the second person from DW that I got to level 99. The actual second person was probably Oichi since my sister likes playing as her. I didn't even know characters could get up to level 99 until I noticed that Sun Ce kept levelling up and I was thinking, 'Okay, when are you going to be maxed out?'
When I first began playing WO1, I changed characters each time I unlocked someone new, so it took me ages to get someone to level 99, but, strangely enough, the first person was Ranmaru Mori (who I thought was a woman - my inexperience of the Sengoku), and also the character I finished first on SW1.
I also actually forgot some of the DW characters' names in general. For instance, Xiao Qiao became 'that cute girl with the fans' and Xing Cai became 'the she-Keiji'.
Xiao's name is very suitable - yet I don't quite understand Xing Cai's...? I, in all honesty, prefer to use Da Qiao when playing a level - especially on Warriors Orochi 2, as she was the first character I levelled to 99 (closely followed by Kotaro Fuuma!) and because her moveset is just so much more... usable! Xiao's musou is indeed very powerful - but so incredibly hard to control! I've never really got used to using Xing Cai - I completed her musou on DW5... and I'm nearly out of characters...
...But her musou took rather a while as her last 3 moves (seeing as they only have 6 at a time), were the same, just a simple stab forwards, which is absolutely useless for crowd clearing - I got used to using Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, or Zhang Fei for Shu.
In all honesty, when I first played Orochi, I pronounced Xiao Qiao's, Xing Cai's,and Zhuge Liang's names wrong.
I myself love English, especially writing essays. Once, I had to write a descriptive essay about a type of food, and my teacher said that it was so descriptive that he could actually imagine himself himself eating it right there. I don't think I'm that good of a writer, but a compliment is a compliment.
My pronunciation of the DW characters was pretty terrible when I first began playing the series.. But it has improved a lot since then :-). I do enjoy English, pretty much every part of it EXCEPT poetry!
Speaking of great warriors, I had my mom read little biographies about the SW characters, and she has this huge pronunciation issue. For example, Ieyasu is now 'Eee-ahsh-hoo' and Tadakatsu is now 'Tad-a-gat-sooooo'. She even managed to mispronounce Ina's name once. So I wrote down how their names are pronounced, and she still somehow pronounced them wrong. Yes, I know she's not into that kind of stuff like I am, but still. I made my pronunciations fairly simple.
For my story, I'm actually on page 142. I mean, I know what I want to write, but sometimes I don't really feel like it. It was like our poetry unit during school--unless it's a subject I can write about naturally, it bores me. I love writing poetry, especially about sadistic things and death. My class loved my limericks, even my teacher. She said, "These are so hilarious, completely inappropriate, but hilarious." It made me smile.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate poetry myself, my worst part of English. I see your mum still needs to learn the art of pronunciation! Still, when I first played Warriors Orochi (the first time I met ANY of the SW characters) I probably pronounced them wrong as well...
I'm actually writing a book now[it's at a bit of a standstill right now]. If I ever did get the chance to visit Japan, though, I'd definitely visit the places that were around during the 1500's that are still around today. And once I've visited Japan, I'll go to Ireland because a friend of mine lives there, and then to Germany.
It is rather difficult to believe such great warriors as Yukimura and Tadakatsu were around just over five hundred years ago, while other great warriors such as Zhou Yu and Zhang Liao were alive just under two milleniums ago. Visiting Japan is definitely on my wish list, as it is such an inspirational country, and then to Sweden and Fiji - because all the islands in Oceania could be extinct within the next few hundred years.
Books do that to me... You either have one great idea and keep writing non-stop until you finish the whole book, or you'll write a few chapters and just get tired of the whole thing. I only recently started my book based on Japan, and I have to give myself breaks in between writing periods, otherwise I'll bore myself and do other things, but other than that, it's doing rather well :-)
Well, the reason that I like German so much is because of a book I had to read a few years ago called 'Number the Stars'. The funny thing was, right at that time, I was reading another book called 'One Eye Laughing, the Other Weeping', and both books are about the Holocaust. And since the Holocaust is what interests me more than anything in the world, although the events that happened were awful, I feel compelled to take German because of it. Still, it would be great to visit Japan one day.
It is indeed a good reason to learn that language - after all, any language in the world is inspiring enough to learn, if you have the time and patience. It's quite coincidental you should mention visiting Japan, as I'm currently writing a story about Japan, not based on the Sengoku period, but about Japan nevertheless. It's also quite coincidental you also enjoy writing books =)
I would like to say that Japanese history is the subject that interests me most, but it isn't. Sure, if they offered Japan as a foreign language at my school, it would make my friend happy, as she is completely intrigued by the Japanese culture. But I am just fine taking German, as that is my favorite language ever.
Isn't the plural of "samurai", still "samurai"? German, intriguing as it is, isn't a language I'd consider taking myself! Playing the DW games is what first got me interested in History at school, but I must say I'm rather inadequate. My favourite laguage which I never learnt at school (much to my disappointment) was - and still is - Swedish.
In school, we were talking about Middle Aged civilizations, such as Europe, China, and Japan. I kept getting so annoyed when everyone was saying wrong things about Japan, especially when they kept saying that the warriors were called 'samurais'. That looks like some Italian or French word that makes the word pronounced oddly. Still, it was more interesting than the month we spent on the Revolutionary War. Maybe someday we'll actually get past the civil war.
And now I understand why Keiji and Kanetsugu have a picture from Hasedo, and Mitsunari and Yukimura have a picture from Odawara. My sister didn't get it, so I kindly asked her, "Who helped the Uesugi escape from the Date? Who gives Keiji special praise? And who "gave assistance" to the Western Army at Sekigahara? Who does Mitsunari give special praise to?" And she said, "Keiji. Kanetsugu. Yukimura. Yukimura." So now it makes sense.
You seem to know a lot about the Sengoku period of Japan! I'm more knowledgeable about the Three Kingdoms Era from China, as many of the names are memorable to me, and the places too! Still, I'm glad it all makes sense now! =D
Orochi Z? Hm, how interesting. Now all of the other 2 characters on WO2 have their fourth weapons, although I think Nu Wa's and Fu Xi's have stupid titles. For the past week I was working on getting the fifth and six pictures for the SW characters on Orochi 2. But I don't think it's really fair that both of Nobunaga's fifth and sixth pictures are from his opening, even if one is from Okehazama and the other from Nagashino.
Orochi Z features 4 new characters, and 12 new Dream Mode stages, but it's got the same story line and theme as WO2, so I'm not entirely sure whether it's worth getting. They're releasing it on PSP for Europe and the USA. I have most of Other 2 at level 99 except Fu Xi and Orochi X (who I haven't unlocked yet), and all of their 4th weapons. Himiko and Sun Wukong are my favourites to use on a level you're trying to complete efficiently (Himiko) and quickly (Sun Wukong).
Well, my birthday is actually in five days. And the funny thing is, today is the day I was supposed to be born. But my mom might not have a way to get us to the mall so I can go to Gamestop and try to find a DW game. My sister is pretty sure they have one there. When she got DW for the PSP, she was like "I could have either gotten this, or Silent Hill Origins, so I chose the one that most likely wouldn't give me nightmares."
Happy Birthday for then, then! Dynasty Warriors games are becoming increasing popular in Europe, and especially the UK, so you should have no problem finding one at many game shops around. I've never heard of Silent Hill Origins myself!
That actually sounds like a rather good idea! In the new Koei game Warriors Orochi "Z", released only in Japan so far, they incorporated the DW6 costume into the game, but kept the 2nd (and possibly 3rd?) costumes as they were in DW5. This makes the game much more playable and fulfilling... If only they'd release it in Europe now...
Ah, upon checking Wikipedia just now, I saw that Warriors Orochi Z is not going to be released in neither Europe nor North America, and is just a Japanese game only. I expect if you enjoy the series enough, it can be bought and imported, but it's for the PS3 only.
Well, for the first SW, we have to unlock the characters. So, only five characters are available for use right now. I'd love to play DW on the PS2, but I only get money on my birthday and my sister only gets paid so much. With her next paycheck, she'll be buying our Halloween costumes because hers requires a mini skirt, which you probably wouldn't find in September or October. Maybe I'll buy a DW game with my birthday money...
May I know when your birthday is? Yes, DW would be a great idea to think about for your birthday. If you don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360, I'd personally recommend DW4 (it being the most interesting in the series), and DW5 (the most original and best characters). DW3 is good too, but neither the Empires nor Xtreme Legends are that much better than the originals, in my opinion. Ah, I see what you mean by unlocking characters, I did unlock most of the ones I've completed!
And Mitsuhide, well, I never really used him that much anyways. But for Yukimura, I could never get past Nagashino because Katsuyori kept getting himself killed. Then I tried playing XL and it took me two weeks to realize that I could import the SW1 data. And then I tried SW2:Empires, as regular SW2 wouldn't work. And once I got SW2 to finally work, all was well. I've completed almost everyone's dreams, except for Ina's and Kenshin's.
I was the exact opposite, whereas I grew on the SW games since my sister never thought to buy the DW games. But thanks to WO, I now know that there are a lot of really good characters from DW. The very first PS2 Koei game I played was the original Samurai Warriors, but I eventually got bored only being able to play as five characters, two of which were terrible for me--Hanzo and Kenshin. Oichi eventually got annoying, and...I'm running out of characters.
We seem to be completely different on that! My very first PS2 game was DW2, and since then, I've fallen in love with the series. As you can tell from my homepage, my favourites are Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu. On SW1 (which I have on Xbox), there are more than just five characters? I've already completed Ranmaru Mori, Hanzo Hattori, Mitsuhide Akechi and Nobunaga Oda. I find both Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda just annoying to try and use... Oh and yes, Yukimura/Oichi are both rather good on it.
We have Vol. 2, but that's the only DW we have in general. The only KOEI PS2 games my sister has are the SW games and Orochi 1 and 2. But so far, the best person on the PSP for me was Sun Ce. He now has enough command points to have two non-generic officers as his sub-officers, and the other two as generics. The funny thing is, when I unlocked Oichi, she was in her SW2 outfit, but her fighting noises sound like they do in SW1.
I have many of the DW series games, but hardly any of the SW series, as I grew up enjoying the DW style of game, rather than the SW, where the whole musou bar must be depleted in one go. I haven't played DW vol. 2 myself yet, as soon as I manage to find my PSP, I'll make sure to give it a go. In Vol. 1 however, I like the originality Koei has put into it. The only part I dislike about the DW games on the PSP is the zones that must be cleared - WO on PSP doesn't have that.
And the strangest thing happened when I was playing DW on the PSP today. I unlocked Oichi as a sub-officer, and my sister said that if you play SW on the PSP, then you can unlock DW characters as sub-officers. I just thought it was strange.
I've seen that. He does have the same voice as he does in SW2 and WO as well, though, doesn't he? Is that DW vol.1 or 2? I have Volume 1, and I think it's possible to unlock SW officers on that version, but probably only SW1 characters, as DW vol.1 is a remake of DW4. Do you happen to have DW6 (Empires?) by any chance?
And there's also a thing I call 'pulling an Ieyasu'. Whenever I fight him, he blocks, evades, and occasionally attacks. All of the people in the Tokugawa army seem to have a thing for blocking, except for Tadakatsu.
So it is +20? I've not actually played SW2, only SW1, and I don't think Kanetsugu is in it, but I don't play it frequently. Pulling an Ieyasu for me on WO2, is simply unleashing his R2 attack (for PS2), against an enemy general and watching them crumble. With lightning added element, Kanetsugu is rather powerful, with his T,T, or S,S,T,T (also PS2).
In WO1, I think the first person whose weapon I got +20 was Sun Ce. I don't think I really had a favorite team, though. Kotaro is a fun character to play as in SW2, especially with his musou attack. His skills in fighting make up for how annoying it is to fight against him since all he does is block and then attack when you're not expecting it. I call it pulling a 'Kanetsugu', because Kanetsugu always did that whenever I did Nagamasa's dream.
Weapon fusion is awesome. I used it to make Yukimura's weapon own beyond measure. The only reason I'm using him so much in WO2 so much is because I only used him once in WO1, to get his special item. In WO1, I pretty much stuck to using Sun Ce.
With Weapon Fusion, I made Kotaro Fuuma's fourth weapon hold every ability at it's higest point, with a +50 (or is it +20?) attack added onto it. He can now easily defeat enemy generals on the last stage at Chaos Mode. In WO1, my ultimate team was Da Qiao, Zuo Ci & Nene. In WO2 however, it has switched to Taigong Wang, Himiko & Kanetsugu Naoe.
The first people whose 4th weapons I got were Orochi, Himiko, and Yoshitsune, purely on accident. I wasn't even trying to get their fourth weapons. For some reason, Zhao Yun's was annoying to get because the commander died, or I got bombarded and was therefore killed before having a chance to switch characters. But on the plus side, I have it now. I also have Oichi's, although I didn't really care about getting her fourth weapon.
If this is WO1 we're talking about, I respect the fact that it is indeed very hard to get Zhao Yun's fourth weapon. I only even THINK about getting fourth weapons when a character is at level 99, or, as my usual plan goes - using 2 level 99 characters (Lu Bu and Kotaro Fuuma), and one lower level character (in one case: Kanetsugu Naoe), and just using the first two to claim Kanetsugu's weapon. Then I can train him up to level 99 with a fourth weapon. I also find Weapon Fusion really useful :P
Kanetsugu is a good fighter if you know how to use all of his attacks. But since I find him to be more annoying than Mitsunari, he is my third favorite character. Still, I'm not sure why they made him sound British in Orochi.
By the way, my sister and I beat the majority of WO2, except for the dream modes that haven't been unlocked. And I've used Yukimura to help a good deal of people get their fourth weapons.
Well, I assumed that the generic officers that are all like 'I will show no mercy', I thought of Yukimura in the first game, whenever he would be like 'I will show no mercy in battle.'
As a joke, in that one dream in WO2 with Ma Chao, Nagamasa, and Kanetsugu, I ran over to Yukimura with Ma Chao and said 'Hey, hey! Do you want your first game voice back?"
That's a very true point! I did just check the voice comparison by setting up WO on the PS2 and Samurai Warriors on the Xbox, and it seems they are one and the same person. I haven't actually unlocked all the dream modes yet, and I can't remember if I have the one with Nagamasa Azai, Kanetsugu Naoe and Ma Chao or not... (I DO like Kanetsugu and his move sets though :))
When I first played Orochi, I knew that some of the generic officers sounded familiar. Then I went to see who did Yukimura's first game voice and went to see what else that voice actor did, and he did those generics and Ma Chao. Then I did that battle that Ma Chao is in, and I was like "Oh, it really is Yukimura's first game voice."
So Yukimura's first voice actor covered the generic officers and Ma Chao during Warriors Orochi? I was playing Samurai Warriors the other day on Xbox, and I couldn't see any similarities between him and Ma Chao, but thanks to that, I'll go and check now!
The only thing I like better about Zhao Yun is that in Orochi, his voice sounds less stupid than Yukimura's. He should have kept his second game voice--it suited him. His first game voice wouldn't really suit his second game outfit, though. Yes, Julien Elia made Yukimura and Mitsuhide sound normal, although I liked Mitsuhide's first game voice and outfit more than his second game voice and outfit.
I've never really picked up on how voice's suit the characters. I thought his (Zhao Yun's) voice suited him best in DW4, and went with his costume rather well, but I wouldn't know for sure! You certainly know your DW/SW too - I didn't know Julian Elia did the voicing for Yukimura and Mitsuhide...
It was actually my sister's old PSP[it was actually her boyfriend's] that got me interested in Samurai Warriors. At first, the only person I could play as was Okuni, and then I played it on the PS2, and thought 'Man, Okuni sucks.' So I tried out all the other characters, and my four favorites are the four I believe to be the 'four musketeers' of SW. I'm not sure how my sister doesn't realize who my favorite character is, since I play as him more than any other SW character...
I do agree that Okuni isn't the best character Koei's made, but she is VERY dangerous on Warriors Orochi 1 & 2. My all time favourite from the whole Samurai Warriors series is Nene however. I'm not entirely sure myself of your favourite character, but I'm convinced it's Sun Ce... am I right?
Nice. I'm sure it's not that bad, as all the comments anyone makes on YouTube are public, for all to read. Yukimura, hmmm? I admit, he's not a bad sort of bloke!
See, I can only play DW on the PSP, because the only PS2 games my sister has are SW1, SWXL, SW2, SW2XL[which I hate], Warriors Orochi, SW2 Empires, Guitar Hero 2, Silent Hill 2, and Silent Hill 3. She was going to get Orochi 2, but it wasn't there, so she got a PSP and a DW game. I've so far played as Shang Xiang, Zhou Yu, and Zhen Ji, all of which are really good even when I just started playing as them.
I see you have a lot to say. That never was a bad thing, however. I've never had a chance to try out any DW games on the PSP, as I am not fortunate to own one myself, however I have played numerous games on the Xbox and PS2. My 10 favourite characters differ slightly from yours, but I see you have good taste. The Samurai Warriors games, which I've played a few of, are equally as good as the DW series, although I respect your opinion. The Qiao's, I must also add, are rather AWESOME!! =p
In fact, my ten favorite characters from Orochi were definitely Xiao Qiao, Sun Ce, Orochi, Da Ji, Da Qiao, Zhou Yu, Shang Xiang, Xing Cai, Yue Ying, and Oichi. I mean, come on, Sun Ce owns. He was the first person I got to level 99, and the first DW character to get his special item, Oichi was first in general. And I'll probably have to continue this on another comment, as I am running out of available characters.
I've never actually played Dynasty Warriors, except once yesterday when my sister bought a PSP. And then I played as Shang Xiang, since she was a starting character and all. But I did play Warriors Orochi, and Xiao Qiao was awesome, as was Da Qiao.
My favourite is Xiao Qiao and I was really disappointed with Da Qiao being left behind. One other character that I always thought that it was great and they removed too was Xing Cai.
Xiao Qiao is a great character, I do admit, but I was sadenned at the loss of Da Qiao. Xing Cai I never really properly used during Dynasty Warriors 5, and, seeing as I didn't, I'm going to test her out in the future.
Thank god they gave Taishi Ci his weapons back in Dynasty Warriors 6 special as well as Zhang He's claws. But I wished Da Qiao was in DW6. Why have Xiao Qiao only? Don't get me wrong, I favor Xiao more, but still....if you have one Qiao, might as well have the other.
Hmm... I do prefer Taishi Ci's spear in DW6, but I'm glad Zhang He has his claws back. I agree with you, Xiao Qiao was always the favourite, but I loved Da Qiao's moveset, and she was the 1st character I completed WO2 with... I'm gonna miss her...
I was disappointed to find that they removed Da Qiao. And Xiao Qiao doesn't even get a story line. You can only play her in free mode after you unlock her..I think. They got rid of some really good charaters....I hope they come back.
True! Pang De, Meng Huo, Zhu Rong and Xing Cai, I can agree with, but Jiang Wei was just AMAZING! And Zuo Ci and Da Qiao were just necessary really... They could have re-designed Zuo Ci easily enough...
Changing Taishi Ci's weapon was a big mistake, because his weapons were so original, and have stayed that way since the very beginning, plus I kicked ass with him, but he wasn't my BEST character.
I also hated how they change Ling Tong's weapon from Nunchuku to a gay axe. I LOVED THOSE NUNCHUKU! He was my best cahracter!
Like I did say in the description box, I didn't include any characters that joined the game after Dynasty Warriors 2. Both Da and Xiao Qiao joined the game in Dynasty Warriors 3...
Yes. I'm sorry, I also find he is an amazing character, but I could not include any characters after Dynasty Warriors 2. When I make a re-make with the characters that join in DW 3, 4 and 5, he will definitely be included.
changeing sun shang xiang's weapon to a bow was a BIG mistake she was my best character no she has some damn bow and im not as kick ass with her any more i don't care about looks the weapons i do
I have to disagree with you. I always found Sun Shang Xiang was deadly with her Chackrams, but since playing DW6, she was the first character I levelled to 50. Once she's on Renbu 3 or higher, with some sort of elemental weapon, she really is DANGEROUS :P
great! I hope to get Dynasty Warriors 6 soon as I have all but completed Dynasty Warriors 5. I really want to get DW4 again though as I thought (in my experience) it was the best DW game so far.
As I did explain in the Video, I only included characters that where in the game since Dynasty Warriors 2. Sun Ce joined the game in Dynasty Warriors 3, which means I unfortunately couldn't include him. Sorry
how do i get th Qiao sisters?

But with Magoichi, he's all happy-go-lucky at Anegawa. Then Nobunaga has to come in provoke Magoichi into getting on his bad side. Then he burns down Sakai Village and Magoichi, being the nice peasant-protector that he is, has no choice but to fight back. His ending is particularly depressing, as it's the only ending in SW2 in which the person whose name it's under is the one that dies. Nobody else died in their own ending in SW2.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
By that I mean that in SW1, specifically in his lower path, there were a few instances in which he has said that nobody can stand against him, but it's not really that bad. But in SW2, he never seems to say anything good about himself, only about other people, specifically Mitsunari and Keiji. And in my opinion, being a little conceited isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's good to think highly of yourself...unless you don't deserve it, or you're extremely modest.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Magoichi only became as depressing as his story mode, which is by far the most depressing of any story mode in SW2. Oh, and Mitsuhide became more depressing. I wonder what it would have been like if Mitsuhide didn't join the Oda, if he didn't defect like he said he wouldn't before Inabayama to Ranmaru. History would have been thrown off course so much, unless Mitsuhide still decided to kill Nobunaga anyway.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
That's true... I've been playing SW1 a lot more now since I've found it's actually quite an addictive game... and upon completion of Magoichi's Tale I see it is quite carefree and relaxed... He seems like a good guy defending peasants... Now when I play SW2 I'll see how this all fares out. How do you mean Yukimura is kinda conceited?
lemasonry 2 years ago
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Well, at least they don't all end with Koshi castle like in WO1. That got boring after a while, especially since the Shu version is probably the easiest version, for me anyway. On the subject of SW, there's only one bad thing about SW2--a lot of the characters become sappier or more depressing. Shingen is the only one who really improves, and Kenshin pretty much stays the same. I'll be running out of characters shortly, so I'll continue this on the next comment.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
No, Orochi's story mode doesn't have Koshi Castle, although Hinokawa is as close as you'll get. I think of it as some cross between Chi Bi and Koshi Castle.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
It's true! Chi Bi was always the second most annoying stage on DW (following only Yi Ling - which really was SO annoying sometimes!) Hinokawa is my favourite stage Koei has made so far... It really does combine a lot of special effects with ships, and a hell of a lot of decoys! I also like the way they changed the actual Chi Bi to make it more interesting between the final battle between Wu and Orochi X.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Well, it's more like the accurate and inaccurate ending. Besides, I like the lower paths, especially doing Azuchi as Yukimura when you go into the castle. I just love how when you run into Oichi she's all 'after all, we are enemies', and sounds/looks so much younger than Yukimura. But if Oichi was really fourteen or fifteen like KOEI said she was in SW1, then Yukimura wasn't even born. Well, there have to be some inaccuracies to make the game interesting.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
That's true... It's the same for DW, like the battle of Yi Ling... Huang Zhong of Shu is there, and Lu Xun from Wu was there (the one who suggested the fire tactic) yet Huang Zhong died when Lu Xun was only six! I haven't unlocked Yukimura's top path yet... but Azuchi castle is quite fun =D
lemasonry 2 years ago
I like all of the new characters in WO2, especially Yoshitsune, Himiko, and Taigong Wang. My sister thinks Fu Xi's sword looks like cardboard. Originally, Wei was the closest to having their mode entirely cleared, but SW had all of their stages cleared on at least easy and chaos, so I just decided to do that one and get it over with. The first battle I cleared on WO2 was Koshi castle, and it's how I got at least ten characters' fourth weapons. It's actually really easy even on chaos mode.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
It surprises me how Koshi Castle isn't featured on Orochi's Story Mode (or is it? - I can't actually remember), only Shu, where they try to stop Kiyomori from re-incarnating Himiko. I was bored this afternoon, so I was playing SW again, and I did as you said, and I'm now completing Shingen Takeda's Tale. I was wondering why the story sometimes splits half-way through... Is there some sort of good/bad ending to each character?
lemasonry 2 years ago
So, the ironic thing was: A while back, my sister and I did this iTunes shuffle thing on her MP3 with the SW2 characters. Yukimura got 'So Cold'. I just did another one with all the WO2 people except Orochi X with my playlist songs on shuffle. Yukimura got..once again...'So Cold'. I just thought it was weird that out of all the songs I have on there, he ends up getting the one he already had? Da Ji's song makes no sense. I think it fits Kanetsugu more, but they were randomly selected.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
That's quite strange... As I play Dynasty Warriors 6 on the Xbox 360 (don't have a PS3 myself), I often play my own music instead of the game music... I might try that sometime... Oh, you know the Dream Mode Stage with Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu and Shingen Takeda, at He Fei Castle? The music from that [The Men of Intelligence] from DW3 is my all time favourite Koei track! I'm glad they decided to use it there! (That, quite ironically, is now my favourite Dream Mode Stage)
lemasonry 2 years ago
Honestly, I stayed up all night finishing that thing. Over and over I had to hear 'Entropy will always triumph', 'Another falls to the Minamoto', and 'Come back later and try again', since I chose Orochi, Yoshitsune, and Xiao Qiao as my team. I tried using Himiko when I was doing Sekigahara on hard, but Orochi X killed me in three hits--I didn't even have time to switch characters. And really, the most ironic SW thing happened to me yesterday, which I will elaborate in the next comment.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
But the best part of SW2 is the dream modes each character has. Some of them, like Oichi's and Noh's, are funny, other's are completely inaccurate[Ina's], and some make sense. The only good thing about SW2XL is that it tells you in a short, not-that-helpful sentence how to obtain their fourth weapons. I only have Nene's right now, because I didn't feel like doing anyone else. And I officially have SW on WO2 ENTIRELY complete, every stage, every difficulty.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
The sentences I heard most were "The enemy crumples before me", "You're simply inferior" and "Victory, as usual". They were, respectively, Kotaro Fuuma, Da Ji and Taigong Wang. Xiao Qiao's comment is always so enjoyable to hear, makes me smile every time. I have already decided to use Da Qiao, Toshiie Maeda and Musashi Miyamoto to complete Wei's story mode, Sun Wukong, Himiko and Kiyomori Taira for Shu, and Fu Xi, Mitsuhide Akechi and Hanzo Hattori for SW, all chosen from my favourites =D
lemasonry 2 years ago
Okay, well, I'd get SW2, because it's the most interesting. If you can't get that, then I'd suggest SW2: Empires. But don't bother getting SW2XL, it's not worth it. The only character worth playing on that is Kojiro, and besides, it never seems to want to load for me. With Empires, you can do a lot more stuff, but the main jist of regular SW2 is more normal. But to be safe, I'd just get both of them at the same time, if possible.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Okay, I trust both SW2 and SW2: Empires are available on Xbox 360? I have completed Shu's and Wu's story modes on WO1 (I don't know if it records difficulty there - but I have!) and Wu and Orochi on WO2. Completing Orochi's story mode was rather enjoyable, as I was able to use two of my favourite characters, and use a third to fight the third.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Thank you, and thank you again.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I actually need to ask you for some advice... I was reading the comment you posted a while ago on this video - on it, you said you had pretty much the entire SW collection. Well, seeing as I only have SW1, I was deciding the other day to expand my collection... But I am at a loss which one to get first... Which is your favourite and which would you suggest I go for first? Many wishes on your birthday!
lemasonry 2 years ago
And actually, now my profile picture on here is one of the doll. But it won't show up for the other youtubers for another six hours. Still, I love my channel background, especially how each section is unique in it's own way. I have one for my four favorite SW characters, one for six DW characters that I like, one for SH3, one that's a title of a movie I like, and one for my favorite WO2 character.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Nice doll! I'll be sure to check you're channel design soon! I have to go now, I'll possibly speak to you tomorrow, but if not, have a great day, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! =D=D=D
lemasonry 2 years ago
Yeah, my sister or mom or whoever didn't like those names, so they renamed them. Well, my sister's friend renamed one of them, since she's going to keep her. The two grey cats don't really have names, so I still think we should call them Xiao Qiao and Da Qiao.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Good idea! And =( not so good. Ah well...
lemasonry 2 years ago
Alright, well I just got back. My mom already bought me something. It's an Asian porcelain doll. I named her Oichi, because we had to rename the kittens. Besides, she kind of looks like Oichi, except with longer and darker hair.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
You had to re-name the kittens?! Why? Good good though =D.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Oh, look at the time. I suppose I'll have to leave soon. My mom and I are going to the store to pick up my birthday cake. She owes me. Last year, my cake wasn't even a cake. It was an oversized, oddly shaped, hard-as-a-rock 'cookie'. Besides, I haven't had a store-bought birthday cake since I was nine. And tomorrow is my golden birthday, after all. And as it turns out, I actually can have a cardboard cutout of a SW character--it just costs $125, so I won't be getting that.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
You've certainly got your story planned! Glad to see that, though! Shizugatake...? Unfortunately, my WO2 has broken - which is quite a nightmare, as it's relatively new - so I'm ordering it for Xbox 360 instead, along with a copy of WO1 just in case. I'll see if I can find what phrase he says to Oichi! Happy birthday for tomorrow, if I don't happen to see you, and I hope you manage to get what you want! (Maybe a DW game or two!) Speak to you soon!
lemasonry 2 years ago
Okay, so Ms. Harren is Ginchiyo, Saria is Gracia, Ignatious is Magoichi, except for when Rutasha gets her mouth. Then Rutasha becomes Himiko and Ingnatious becomes Kiyomori. Ganondorf is Orochi, and Keiji, Kanetsugu, Tadakatsu, and Ieyasu are all really minor characters that have one line. Oh, and Lutko, if I decided to also use the sequel in which he ages by about fifteen years, would be Taigong Wang.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Well, you have to play as Kunoichi in Shizugatake on WO2, as that's the only battle in which Zhang He is blue. Defeat the officers with her until he gives her special praise. He'll say 'Lady Kunoichi, there are no words to describe your beauty'. When I first heard him say that, my eye almost twitched. He also gives Oichi special praise, but I forget what he says. And in turn, Kunoichi gives Zhang He special praise.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I don't know if you've ever played the Zelda games, but I wrote a fanfiction on that, and recently replaced those people with mostly SW and two Orochi, characters. Some of the characters don't make much sense, but I could have chosen anyone I wanted. Besides, not every character was even used, like Hanzo and Kotaro, who wouldn't fit in anywhere. And I don't know the DW characters as much as the SW characters in order to use them.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Hanzo really is the most ninja-like... Although I suppose both Nene and Kunoichi realise it's good to enjoy the lighter side of life! Especially in "the escape from Wan Castle" stage in Wu's WO1 story mode, where Kunoichi arrives, and says to Hanzo "I'll help ya - if ya agree I'M the better ninja!" I've not played the Zelda games myself... And that manga sounds rather fun! Zhang He says that to Kunoichi? What are the requirements for that?!
lemasonry 2 years ago
Now what I'm wondering, is why they didn't use Yukimura's real name. Once, my sister was reading this manga and replaced all the characters with SW characters, and their was a line that was 'Don't cry, Yuki', so she read 'Don't cry, Yukimura', and I could not stop laughing. Mitsunari ended up being the main character. Keiji and Kanetsugu became sisters, and yeah...it was fun. I'll have to remind her that we need to finish that sometime.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Hanzo is the most like a ninja out of all four of them. Nene, to me, acts the least like a ninja. But I like playing as her just to hear Hideyoshi give his special praise. It's a shame that Kunoichi is the only ninja who doesn't get special praise from anyone, except Zhang He, which historically doesn't count. Still, he did say she was pretty, which is nice. On another subject, my sister and I were thinking of who we think should become playable characters in SW.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Yes, Hanzo is extremely annoying--loyal to Ieyasu no matter what--but still annoying. And by everything I've read, Kunoichi never had anything to do with the Oda. She technically wasn't real, but people believe that she was one of the Sanada Ten Braves. Kunoichi was technically said to represent the entire group, which is probably why you never see ten people listed under Yukimura as his sub-generals, but none of them were actually women at all. Hm, maybe Kotaro was just using the Hojo.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
He is very annoying, but beautifully wonderful when you use him yourself! And oh, okay, I was thinking, seeing as Nobunaga had such a large army, he must have had a ninja somewhere... (did he?) It's true... Wherever Yukimura goes, Kunoichi goes... I think Kotaro WAS using the Hojo - he seems set on living off chaos, and maybe he was just using the Hojo as a front for that current time...?
lemasonry 2 years ago
Yeah, they have Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, maybe Mitsunari, Katsuie, Mitsuhide, Noh, Ranmaru, and possibly Oichi and Nagamasa if KOEI decided to include them. If they were playing off SW1, they'd also have Keiji. But if they went by SW2, Keiji would probably be on Kunoichi's side with the Takeda army. I wonder what it would have been like if the Uesugi had a ninja. The Oda had one, the Hojo had one, the Tokugawa had one, and the Takeda had at least ten.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I've always wondered what Kunoichi's story mode would be if she was in SW2. I'd like to think that she would have Kawanakajima, Mikatagahara, Nagashino[since Gifu isn't in SW2], Ueda, and Osaka. And maybe her dream could be some contest with Nene, Kotaro, and Hanzo to see who the best ninja in Japan is. To make it better, Kunoichi would have to face the entire Oda, Hojo, and Tokugawa armies. I think the Oda has the most non-generic officers, so they'd be the biggest threat.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Seeing as the stages used on SW2 are featured in WO1-2, I know the layout of Kawanakajima, Mikatagahara and Nagashino a lot better than I would do for SW1. Out of the ninja's, my favourite of all time is Kotaro (I'm not sure if I've made that obvious yet :-P), followed by Nene, although Hanzo is really good! I don't like to feel as though he's being left out, so I'd probably rate him, Nene and Kunoichi as all joint 2nd. I just realised, Kunoichi isn't actually Kunoichi's name, is it? It's...
lemasonry 2 years ago
A name for female ninjas? To continue with your comment above this one - firstly, the Tokugawa ninja was probably the most efficient (that's Hanzo, right?) as he wouldn't rest until a job was done, and incredibly annoying on SW1. Did Kotaro actually follow the Hojo, or was he just using them as means to survive, while thriving on chaos? Was Kunoichi part of the Takeda or Oda ninja collection as well? She worked for Nobunaga at some point, but Yukimura was with Shingen... :-S
lemasonry 2 years ago
And for battles, my favorite in SW1 is Gifu Infiltration[as Kunoichi], in SW2 it's Nagashino, and in SW2XL it's Motochika's version of Sekigahara. To me, Motochika is one of those people who initially is terrible, but is really good once you level him up a bit. He's definitely better than Gracia, I can say that much. I'm probably going to run out of characters, so I'll just go onto another comment.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
On SW1, the castle battles are always very difficult for me, and I has absolutely no co-ordination using an Xbox 360 controller and console with an Xbox game. Still, SW1 in general is very funny, especially Masamune Date, he's just... BRILLIANT on SW1. I like his weapons on SW2/WO1-2, but his looks just aren't the same! My favourite battle on SW1 so far is... I can't even remember the name of the stage... It's where Shingen fights Ieyasu, and tries to claim his helmet and/or Tadakatsu is in it.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Yes, Oichi was first married to Katsuie. Then Nobunaga 'divorced' them and she married Nagamasa. After Nagamasa killed himself, she went back to Katsuie. I like Hideyoshi as well, and I'm not afraid to say it, but unlike a lot of other people, I like it better when he has that helmet on his head. I like Magoichi's personality, but his story mode in SW2 is so depressing, especially his ending. Still, as far as depressing cutscenes go, 'Peace in the Aftermath' is the most depressing, by far.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I haven't watched many of the cutscenes, and I don't actually remember their names, and I STILL haven't played SW2, or 2XL (do you own a Wii by any chance?) but I didn't know that before! Hideyoshi was a stunner for me in WO1, the SW story mode was the only one I didn't change characters, because Nobunaga Oda and Hideyoshi were so good for me! I didn't use Mitsuhide so much in WO1, but I did in WO2.
lemasonry 2 years ago
But if they were using their married names, they'd be Oichi Shibata or Oichi Azai, still Ginchiyo Tachibana, Noh Oda, Ina Sanada, Gracia Hosokawa, and Nene Hashiba/Toyotomi. I feel bad for Magoichi. KOEI made him seem like such a womanizer, when historically he did have a wife. I guess they just wanted to spice up his personality a bit. I also feel bad for the men who never got married or had kids. Unless they had a brother, their family name ended right there.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Oichi married Katsuie? I thought she was married to Nagamasa? Koei does a lot of things to characters that aren't looked highly upon - for instance in DW5 Koei are extremely sexist... getting a fourth weapon for a male character could be either medium weight, or light, but getting a fourth weapon for a female character, the result was ALWAYS heavy! Magoichi is a fun character to play though! As well as Hideyoshi Toyotomi (the name I prefer to use).
lemasonry 2 years ago
And there is an easy way to tell Ranmaru is a boy, besides the fact that 'maru' is a masculine part of a Japanese name. None of the Japanese girls, besides Ginchiyo, include their family name in their own name. If they did, they'd be Oichi Oda, Ina Honda, Noh Saito, Gracia Akechi and Ginchiyo Tachibana, of course. I wish I knew what Nene's and Okuni's family names were.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I realised upon completing Wu's story mode on WO1 that Ranmaru is indeed male, but Koei personalise him so well, and make him seem so... feminine! That's very true, what you say... And there isn't a lot of history about Okuni or Nene - the two characters which happen to be my favourite of the Samurai Warriors female collection! I really do love Okuni when she's got a dangerous... "umbrella" and a high level!
lemasonry 2 years ago
Yeah, when I first started playing WO1, I did Wu first since I randomly landed on them. I also randomly chose Sun Ce as one of my characters, which is probably why I ended up liking him so much. But whenever I'd get the growth points, I'd deliver them out to people who were at lower levels. Orochi and Da Ji were probably the easiest people for my sister and me to level up.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Yes, Kunoichi is available in SW1. You have to unlock her by completing Yukimura's story mode, which unlocks Shingen. Then you have to complete Shingen's and Hanzo's story modes, and Kunoichi will be available for use. In the musou challenge thing when they give you one minute to kill as many people as you can using only your musou attack, my sister got Kunoichi to kill somewhere around 3,000 people. It's a shame they got rid of her in SW2. Kunoichi was awesome.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Oh, I'll have to try that out... I've completed both Yukimura and Hanzo's, but Shingen just isn't that great for me on SW1. She really is awesome, another of my first characters to level up on WO1. I like Da Ji, as on level 99 with a 4th Weapon she really is dangerous, but her moveset is so hard to control, and unlike every DW game (except DW4) the moveset connected to enemies nearby, but Da Ji's doesn't, which can make her rather frustrating.
lemasonry 2 years ago
As for Xing Cai's 'name', have you ever noticed that her weapon is like a really small version of Keiji's weapon? I love both of the Qiaos. Xiao Qiao's musou, like Kunoichi's, can be hard to control unless you're used to it. It's fun doing the musou challenge on SWXL with Kunoichi, as she is one of the best crowd-clearers in that game. But yeah, Shu and Wei are good, but Wu is just awesome. I feel bad for Wei-they only have one girl.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Zhen Ji seems happy enough being the only one!
lemasonry 2 years ago
I agree that Xing Cai's musou attack isn't very powerful. I think Xiao Qiao was the second person from DW that I got to level 99. The actual second person was probably Oichi since my sister likes playing as her. I didn't even know characters could get up to level 99 until I noticed that Sun Ce kept levelling up and I was thinking, 'Okay, when are you going to be maxed out?'
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
When I first began playing WO1, I changed characters each time I unlocked someone new, so it took me ages to get someone to level 99, but, strangely enough, the first person was Ranmaru Mori (who I thought was a woman - my inexperience of the Sengoku), and also the character I finished first on SW1.
lemasonry 2 years ago
I also actually forgot some of the DW characters' names in general. For instance, Xiao Qiao became 'that cute girl with the fans' and Xing Cai became 'the she-Keiji'.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Xiao's name is very suitable - yet I don't quite understand Xing Cai's...? I, in all honesty, prefer to use Da Qiao when playing a level - especially on Warriors Orochi 2, as she was the first character I levelled to 99 (closely followed by Kotaro Fuuma!) and because her moveset is just so much more... usable! Xiao's musou is indeed very powerful - but so incredibly hard to control! I've never really got used to using Xing Cai - I completed her musou on DW5... and I'm nearly out of characters...
lemasonry 2 years ago
...But her musou took rather a while as her last 3 moves (seeing as they only have 6 at a time), were the same, just a simple stab forwards, which is absolutely useless for crowd clearing - I got used to using Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, or Zhang Fei for Shu.
lemasonry 2 years ago
In all honesty, when I first played Orochi, I pronounced Xiao Qiao's, Xing Cai's,and Zhuge Liang's names wrong.
I myself love English, especially writing essays. Once, I had to write a descriptive essay about a type of food, and my teacher said that it was so descriptive that he could actually imagine himself himself eating it right there. I don't think I'm that good of a writer, but a compliment is a compliment.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
My pronunciation of the DW characters was pretty terrible when I first began playing the series.. But it has improved a lot since then :-). I do enjoy English, pretty much every part of it EXCEPT poetry!
lemasonry 2 years ago
where is zhou tai?
MetalKnight24 2 years ago
He joined the game in Dynasty Warriors 4, and I only include characters that began the game from DW2, so he is, unfortunately, not included...
lemasonry 2 years ago
Speaking of great warriors, I had my mom read little biographies about the SW characters, and she has this huge pronunciation issue. For example, Ieyasu is now 'Eee-ahsh-hoo' and Tadakatsu is now 'Tad-a-gat-sooooo'. She even managed to mispronounce Ina's name once. So I wrote down how their names are pronounced, and she still somehow pronounced them wrong. Yes, I know she's not into that kind of stuff like I am, but still. I made my pronunciations fairly simple.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
For my story, I'm actually on page 142. I mean, I know what I want to write, but sometimes I don't really feel like it. It was like our poetry unit during school--unless it's a subject I can write about naturally, it bores me. I love writing poetry, especially about sadistic things and death. My class loved my limericks, even my teacher. She said, "These are so hilarious, completely inappropriate, but hilarious." It made me smile.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate poetry myself, my worst part of English. I see your mum still needs to learn the art of pronunciation! Still, when I first played Warriors Orochi (the first time I met ANY of the SW characters) I probably pronounced them wrong as well...
lemasonry 2 years ago
I'm actually writing a book now[it's at a bit of a standstill right now]. If I ever did get the chance to visit Japan, though, I'd definitely visit the places that were around during the 1500's that are still around today. And once I've visited Japan, I'll go to Ireland because a friend of mine lives there, and then to Germany.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
It is rather difficult to believe such great warriors as Yukimura and Tadakatsu were around just over five hundred years ago, while other great warriors such as Zhou Yu and Zhang Liao were alive just under two milleniums ago. Visiting Japan is definitely on my wish list, as it is such an inspirational country, and then to Sweden and Fiji - because all the islands in Oceania could be extinct within the next few hundred years.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Books do that to me... You either have one great idea and keep writing non-stop until you finish the whole book, or you'll write a few chapters and just get tired of the whole thing. I only recently started my book based on Japan, and I have to give myself breaks in between writing periods, otherwise I'll bore myself and do other things, but other than that, it's doing rather well :-)
lemasonry 2 years ago
Well, the reason that I like German so much is because of a book I had to read a few years ago called 'Number the Stars'. The funny thing was, right at that time, I was reading another book called 'One Eye Laughing, the Other Weeping', and both books are about the Holocaust. And since the Holocaust is what interests me more than anything in the world, although the events that happened were awful, I feel compelled to take German because of it. Still, it would be great to visit Japan one day.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
It is indeed a good reason to learn that language - after all, any language in the world is inspiring enough to learn, if you have the time and patience. It's quite coincidental you should mention visiting Japan, as I'm currently writing a story about Japan, not based on the Sengoku period, but about Japan nevertheless. It's also quite coincidental you also enjoy writing books =)
lemasonry 2 years ago
I would like to say that Japanese history is the subject that interests me most, but it isn't. Sure, if they offered Japan as a foreign language at my school, it would make my friend happy, as she is completely intrigued by the Japanese culture. But I am just fine taking German, as that is my favorite language ever.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Isn't the plural of "samurai", still "samurai"? German, intriguing as it is, isn't a language I'd consider taking myself! Playing the DW games is what first got me interested in History at school, but I must say I'm rather inadequate. My favourite laguage which I never learnt at school (much to my disappointment) was - and still is - Swedish.
lemasonry 2 years ago
In school, we were talking about Middle Aged civilizations, such as Europe, China, and Japan. I kept getting so annoyed when everyone was saying wrong things about Japan, especially when they kept saying that the warriors were called 'samurais'. That looks like some Italian or French word that makes the word pronounced oddly. Still, it was more interesting than the month we spent on the Revolutionary War. Maybe someday we'll actually get past the civil war.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
And now I understand why Keiji and Kanetsugu have a picture from Hasedo, and Mitsunari and Yukimura have a picture from Odawara. My sister didn't get it, so I kindly asked her, "Who helped the Uesugi escape from the Date? Who gives Keiji special praise? And who "gave assistance" to the Western Army at Sekigahara? Who does Mitsunari give special praise to?" And she said, "Keiji. Kanetsugu. Yukimura. Yukimura." So now it makes sense.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
You seem to know a lot about the Sengoku period of Japan! I'm more knowledgeable about the Three Kingdoms Era from China, as many of the names are memorable to me, and the places too! Still, I'm glad it all makes sense now! =D
lemasonry 2 years ago
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago

MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Happy Birthday for then, then! Dynasty Warriors games are becoming increasing popular in Europe, and especially the UK, so you should have no problem finding one at many game shops around. I've never heard of Silent Hill Origins myself!
lemasonry 2 years ago
i loved gan ning , They should have made it where u can pick the characters outfit and weapons from the old dynasty warriors
ChanceA116 2 years ago
That actually sounds like a rather good idea! In the new Koei game Warriors Orochi "Z", released only in Japan so far, they incorporated the DW6 costume into the game, but kept the 2nd (and possibly 3rd?) costumes as they were in DW5. This makes the game much more playable and fulfilling... If only they'd release it in Europe now...
lemasonry 2 years ago
Ah, upon checking Wikipedia just now, I saw that Warriors Orochi Z is not going to be released in neither Europe nor North America, and is just a Japanese game only. I expect if you enjoy the series enough, it can be bought and imported, but it's for the PS3 only.
lemasonry 2 years ago
Well, for the first SW, we have to unlock the characters. So, only five characters are available for use right now. I'd love to play DW on the PS2, but I only get money on my birthday and my sister only gets paid so much. With her next paycheck, she'll be buying our Halloween costumes because hers requires a mini skirt, which you probably wouldn't find in September or October. Maybe I'll buy a DW game with my birthday money...
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
May I know when your birthday is? Yes, DW would be a great idea to think about for your birthday. If you don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360, I'd personally recommend DW4 (it being the most interesting in the series), and DW5 (the most original and best characters). DW3 is good too, but neither the Empires nor Xtreme Legends are that much better than the originals, in my opinion. Ah, I see what you mean by unlocking characters, I did unlock most of the ones I've completed!
lemasonry 2 years ago
And Mitsuhide, well, I never really used him that much anyways. But for Yukimura, I could never get past Nagashino because Katsuyori kept getting himself killed. Then I tried playing XL and it took me two weeks to realize that I could import the SW1 data. And then I tried SW2:Empires, as regular SW2 wouldn't work. And once I got SW2 to finally work, all was well. I've completed almost everyone's dreams, except for Ina's and Kenshin's.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I was the exact opposite, whereas I grew on the SW games since my sister never thought to buy the DW games. But thanks to WO, I now know that there are a lot of really good characters from DW. The very first PS2 Koei game I played was the original Samurai Warriors, but I eventually got bored only being able to play as five characters, two of which were terrible for me--Hanzo and Kenshin. Oichi eventually got annoying, and...I'm running out of characters.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
We seem to be completely different on that! My very first PS2 game was DW2, and since then, I've fallen in love with the series. As you can tell from my homepage, my favourites are Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu. On SW1 (which I have on Xbox), there are more than just five characters? I've already completed Ranmaru Mori, Hanzo Hattori, Mitsuhide Akechi and Nobunaga Oda. I find both Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda just annoying to try and use... Oh and yes, Yukimura/Oichi are both rather good on it.
lemasonry 2 years ago
We have Vol. 2, but that's the only DW we have in general. The only KOEI PS2 games my sister has are the SW games and Orochi 1 and 2. But so far, the best person on the PSP for me was Sun Ce. He now has enough command points to have two non-generic officers as his sub-officers, and the other two as generics. The funny thing is, when I unlocked Oichi, she was in her SW2 outfit, but her fighting noises sound like they do in SW1.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I have many of the DW series games, but hardly any of the SW series, as I grew up enjoying the DW style of game, rather than the SW, where the whole musou bar must be depleted in one go. I haven't played DW vol. 2 myself yet, as soon as I manage to find my PSP, I'll make sure to give it a go. In Vol. 1 however, I like the originality Koei has put into it. The only part I dislike about the DW games on the PSP is the zones that must be cleared - WO on PSP doesn't have that.
lemasonry 2 years ago
And the strangest thing happened when I was playing DW on the PSP today. I unlocked Oichi as a sub-officer, and my sister said that if you play SW on the PSP, then you can unlock DW characters as sub-officers. I just thought it was strange.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Kanetsugu is a generic officer in SW1. He's there in one of Kenshin's battles, and when you do Azuchi as Shingen or Yukimura.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I've seen that. He does have the same voice as he does in SW2 and WO as well, though, doesn't he? Is that DW vol.1 or 2? I have Volume 1, and I think it's possible to unlock SW officers on that version, but probably only SW1 characters, as DW vol.1 is a remake of DW4. Do you happen to have DW6 (Empires?) by any chance?
lemasonry 2 years ago
And there's also a thing I call 'pulling an Ieyasu'. Whenever I fight him, he blocks, evades, and occasionally attacks. All of the people in the Tokugawa army seem to have a thing for blocking, except for Tadakatsu.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
So it is +20? I've not actually played SW2, only SW1, and I don't think Kanetsugu is in it, but I don't play it frequently. Pulling an Ieyasu for me on WO2, is simply unleashing his R2 attack (for PS2), against an enemy general and watching them crumble. With lightning added element, Kanetsugu is rather powerful, with his T,T, or S,S,T,T (also PS2).
lemasonry 2 years ago
In WO1, I think the first person whose weapon I got +20 was Sun Ce. I don't think I really had a favorite team, though. Kotaro is a fun character to play as in SW2, especially with his musou attack. His skills in fighting make up for how annoying it is to fight against him since all he does is block and then attack when you're not expecting it. I call it pulling a 'Kanetsugu', because Kanetsugu always did that whenever I did Nagamasa's dream.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Weapon fusion is awesome. I used it to make Yukimura's weapon own beyond measure. The only reason I'm using him so much in WO2 so much is because I only used him once in WO1, to get his special item. In WO1, I pretty much stuck to using Sun Ce.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
With Weapon Fusion, I made Kotaro Fuuma's fourth weapon hold every ability at it's higest point, with a +50 (or is it +20?) attack added onto it. He can now easily defeat enemy generals on the last stage at Chaos Mode. In WO1, my ultimate team was Da Qiao, Zuo Ci & Nene. In WO2 however, it has switched to Taigong Wang, Himiko & Kanetsugu Naoe.
lemasonry 2 years ago
The first people whose 4th weapons I got were Orochi, Himiko, and Yoshitsune, purely on accident. I wasn't even trying to get their fourth weapons. For some reason, Zhao Yun's was annoying to get because the commander died, or I got bombarded and was therefore killed before having a chance to switch characters. But on the plus side, I have it now. I also have Oichi's, although I didn't really care about getting her fourth weapon.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
If this is WO1 we're talking about, I respect the fact that it is indeed very hard to get Zhao Yun's fourth weapon. I only even THINK about getting fourth weapons when a character is at level 99, or, as my usual plan goes - using 2 level 99 characters (Lu Bu and Kotaro Fuuma), and one lower level character (in one case: Kanetsugu Naoe), and just using the first two to claim Kanetsugu's weapon. Then I can train him up to level 99 with a fourth weapon. I also find Weapon Fusion really useful :P
lemasonry 2 years ago
Kanetsugu is a good fighter if you know how to use all of his attacks. But since I find him to be more annoying than Mitsunari, he is my third favorite character. Still, I'm not sure why they made him sound British in Orochi.
By the way, my sister and I beat the majority of WO2, except for the dream modes that haven't been unlocked. And I've used Yukimura to help a good deal of people get their fourth weapons.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
Well, I assumed that the generic officers that are all like 'I will show no mercy', I thought of Yukimura in the first game, whenever he would be like 'I will show no mercy in battle.'
As a joke, in that one dream in WO2 with Ma Chao, Nagamasa, and Kanetsugu, I ran over to Yukimura with Ma Chao and said 'Hey, hey! Do you want your first game voice back?"
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
That's a very true point! I did just check the voice comparison by setting up WO on the PS2 and Samurai Warriors on the Xbox, and it seems they are one and the same person. I haven't actually unlocked all the dream modes yet, and I can't remember if I have the one with Nagamasa Azai, Kanetsugu Naoe and Ma Chao or not... (I DO like Kanetsugu and his move sets though :))
lemasonry 2 years ago
When I first played Orochi, I knew that some of the generic officers sounded familiar. Then I went to see who did Yukimura's first game voice and went to see what else that voice actor did, and he did those generics and Ma Chao. Then I did that battle that Ma Chao is in, and I was like "Oh, it really is Yukimura's first game voice."
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
So Yukimura's first voice actor covered the generic officers and Ma Chao during Warriors Orochi? I was playing Samurai Warriors the other day on Xbox, and I couldn't see any similarities between him and Ma Chao, but thanks to that, I'll go and check now!
lemasonry 2 years ago
The only thing I like better about Zhao Yun is that in Orochi, his voice sounds less stupid than Yukimura's. He should have kept his second game voice--it suited him. His first game voice wouldn't really suit his second game outfit, though. Yes, Julien Elia made Yukimura and Mitsuhide sound normal, although I liked Mitsuhide's first game voice and outfit more than his second game voice and outfit.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I've never really picked up on how voice's suit the characters. I thought his (Zhao Yun's) voice suited him best in DW4, and went with his costume rather well, but I wouldn't know for sure! You certainly know your DW/SW too - I didn't know Julian Elia did the voicing for Yukimura and Mitsuhide...
lemasonry 2 years ago
Yes, because Yukimura is awesome.
MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I do agree! He is (as Koei have pointed out during WO), the Zhao Yun of Japan. Glad to see you're back and well, and nice to have more comments!

MeganAnimosity 2 years ago
I do agree that Okuni isn't the best character Koei's made, but she is VERY dangerous on Warriors Orochi 1 & 2. My all time favourite from the whole Samurai Warriors series is Nene however. I'm not entirely sure myself of your favourite character, but I'm convinced it's Sun Ce... am I right?

Hi, I am actually MeganAnimosity's sister. Her favorite character is either Mitsunari, Yukimura, Kanetsugu, or Keiji. It's one of them, right Megan?

Actually, I found out through careful snooping (reading her comments to other people lol). Her favorite character is Yukimura.

Okay, that ought to do it.

Very true. Anyhow, excellent choice of song for this as well.

Thankyou =D I chose it randomly, seeing as I happen to have a lot of random and pointless music stored on my laptop!

Once she's on Renbu 3 or higher, with some sort of elemental weapon, she really is DANGEROUS :P

well same here im just not as good as i was with her know im beast with zang fie

great! I hope to get Dynasty Warriors 6 soon as I have all but completed Dynasty Warriors 5. I really want to get DW4 again though as I thought (in my experience) it was the best DW game so far.

where's Sun Ce?
Skater303303 3 years ago
As I did explain in the Video, I only included characters that where in the game since Dynasty Warriors 2. Sun Ce joined the game in Dynasty Warriors 3, which means I unfortunately couldn't include him. Sorry
lemasonry 3 years ago
aaaaaaah... I'm playing Dynasty warriors 5 and Sun Ce is my favourite so thats why I asked you
Thanx!
