    How the hell does that work? The rectus abdominus is one muscle. It shortens across it's length like all muscles and it's responsible for flexing the lumbar spine. You can't work the 'upper abs' any more than you can work upper or lower calf.

  • achieving abdominal muscle- all you have to do is drink water at least half a gallon a day, cardio (I suggest to do it as early as possible, because during the rest of the day your body will burn even more calories)and implement isotonic/isometric type of ab exercises, high reps in any ab exercise could hurt you if your not properly stretching, also a cooldown after each workout, lifting weights and building muscle throughout the body will further enhance your chances because it helps burn fat.

  • Some people think they hold the secret to the best workout. Notice you never get these tips from people who work for a living outside of a gym? In order to supplement their split schedule 8 hour a day workout schedule they have to make money somehow. You may want to go someplace else for your health tips. These guys always make it sound much easier than it is. Sounds very rehearsed and seems to generic. Like a used car salesman. Nice photo-shop with the superimposed abs. Very amusing though.
