  • I love the palette storm many thanks for telling me about her kisses from Spain

  • Revisiting this one because I've been into simpler looks lately - really lovely and informative, thanks again Nic

It's really good that you both consider different skintypes and skintones when doing your tutorials, so there are helpful tips for everybody - and even though I'm fair myself, I enjoy hearing about what would work on different skintones, very interesting!

  • I love watching make up tutorials. I love michelle phan, kandee Johnson, but Sam and Nic I always cone back to watching you. You are truly the best. Keep up the good workXxx

  • i have oily skin i do not use a primer do u recommend i use one because very shortly after i apply my foundation my foundation starts looking quite cakey and is that caused by my oily skin

  • bellisimo,me encanto

  • your skin is really amazing!

how did you get it like that?

  • what is the name of the cremeblush from MAC?

    please respond thanks

  • where can i get the sleek palate in canada?

  • @dagb1981 I ordered mine from the UK on ebay. Hope that helps!

  • id love to see a gisele bunchen look. though i think it would be far too similar to this. most VS models all have that look it just looks different b/c its a different person.

  • I like the ''oily'' side more :-)

  • perfect eye mace up.. suits u well

  • i don't care what mean comments are made your eyebrow shape is to die for! could you possibly do a tutorial on how to shape them sometime?? thanks:D

  • great look on you of course!! I have red hair and blue eyes, would you try it if you were me??

  • this was really great! it must have been confusing for you so it was so kind of you to do half a face for each skin tone :) thanks!

  • hehe! you said peeeeeetreeeee dish!

    i call it petri dish!

  • @emily12esse the americans say peeeetreee dish

  • @ MyNamelsDjameeela :

that is nic, with the short hair, the other one with the long hair is sam .. i think . 2 different people :D

  • that foundation is AMAZINGGGG :)

  • the dry skin looks totally good on your skin. its also less chissled as where powder creates more edges....

so question...primer only for oily skin? what would be the purpose of it? to give the foundation better staying powder?

  • Love the look! You are beautiful!

  • i maybe sounds stupid but are u wearing hair clips or something else

because sometimes your hair are long then short

  • This is Nic with the short hair. The sister with the long hair is Sam.

  • pixiwoo are 2 sisters doing make up tutorials - the sister with short hair is Nic, the long haired sister is Sam :-)

  • I LOVE THESE 2 IN ONE VIDEOS!

  • thanks for the tips! I got lots of perfect Maybelline makeup from 'gratis makeup samples' they'll last me ages!

  • Where could I find the sleek storm palette at?

  • superdrug?

  • i guess that´s the name of a Drugstore..like Boots or DM or Mülle.but Superdrugs is from UK...i guess this girl is british...that´s why...

  • i love the look it's reallly amazing, Would love to see an Arabian make up tutorial. The idea of Arabian make up might be wrong when its colourful the Arabian eyes are heavy black, widely open with lots of contouring and lashes.

  • linda!!5*****

  • i love this look :O <33

  • LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi! I loved this vide shadows! Do you like the chanel pro lumiere or arman foundation better!?! Thanks! Take care~!

  • Hiya, I just started watching ur vids, i LOVE em! Could you tel me what colour the BK blush is? as they only have colours on the website not numbers.

    thanks ,Charlotte xx

  • I have a question: how do you make the concealer stay under the eye without it making the area look creased? i'm still young so i don't have visible wrinkles but concealer accentuates them. help?!

  • I apply blend mine with my finger after using the applicator. I think doing that with your fingers helps it blend in better due to your body heat. Hope that helps!

  • i love this channel! found it when I was ill at home one day and watch all the videos now!! i love this one, sort of subtle in a way. I know you've done a video on drug store foundations but as a teenager with not a lot of money i just wondered if there were other products that would be any good for re-creating some of your looks

    thankyou :]

  • simply stunning!

i so adore all of your tutorials, thank you for making such high quality videos! <3

  • very nice girl, but make it longer.

  • I wish I had really socketed eyes like you, your eyes look gorgeous in any makeup.

  • brilliant. thank you for the tutorial. i would like to replicate this look for my bday. i'm oily nc35, could you suggest the mac eyeshadow dupes for ones from your storm pallette? i live in the us, can't buy sleek makeup.

  • this type of makeup looks really good on you :)

  • wow ya skin ...adorable

  • You look A LOT more beautiful without make up. Just stunning!

  • its so sad to think that oily skin doesnt look too good to have a dewy look than dry skin. for them it looks healthy & glowng but for us its disgusting haha :(

  • that was very pretty and simple :)

do you suggest not using a primer for dry skin then? if that is so, why not?

  • You have gorgeous eyes!

  • Thanks for the tip on MACs mineralising face powder. I really must make my way down to Selfridge to try BK's range. Thanks :)

  • About her nails... I think she was testing out shades. Only one hand has such animation going on. I suggest such because that's what I do when examining color variation. It helps for examples, especially on the actual nail.

Anyhow, she's such a natural beauty.

  • interesting rainbow nails

  • Gorgeous, simply Gorgeous Nic. I'm gonna give the Storm pallete a try. BTW the black in those pallets is much more intense than Carbon from MAC. I use it all the time.

  • very great. :)

  • You're beautiful without makeup.

  • You are unbelievably gorgeous. Case closed :)

    Thank you!

  • wow when you didn't have any make-up on I was like Oh i like that look lol You are so naturally pretty!!

  • how do u do that thing with ur eye?!! haha a friend of mine can do that, and i try and try but i cant get the other eye open, they bouth close at the same time! so nice^^

  • good looking.

  • you look beautiful without make-up

  • Thanks!You're great!

  • Simple and B E A U T I F U L.

I always enjoy your vids and learn SO much!!

Will try the look soon for sure

  • Wow. So pretty! Love the vids Nic!

  • very pretty look. your skin looks flawless!

  • OMG! I'm such an idot, I've been watching PixiWoo videos for a long time now, and I just realized there were two of you, I always wondered why there were such dramatic difference video to video! LOl

Anyway, keep up the great videos, I totally enjoy them! :)

  • pretty. Thank you for doing the tutorial for dry + oily skin. Its much appreciated.

  • Where is it you can buy the sleek pallette if you want it shipped internationally? :)

  • does this go with brown eyes aswell?

i love it so much! is there any mac colours that could dupe these?? x

  • i absolutely love you guys, I especially love, how in your videos you guys add tips for darker skinned people. I think you guys are great :) Loved the video <3

  • i love this look so pretty!

  • you guys are awesomeeee (: i love you guys b/c you use various brands and not stick to JUST mac products. beautiful look btw!

  • Lovely look :) I think you're prettier than Adriana Lima though :)

  • This is absolutely one of my favourites. It's Adriana spot-on. It's very fresh. You look gorgeous, and the eyeshadow really brings out your eyes.

    Adore it.

    xo

  • Your nails are adorable like that by the way, you could start a trend :)

And not to sound like the proverbial broken record, but your hair is looking really good, I love this length on you

thanks again Nic! I really hope to meet you one day in Selfridges...

    xxx

  • this is such a gorjus look and it reli suits yu!

  • EVERY video I watch from You and Sam I ALWAYS learn something new. I never considered using brushes to apply cream bronzer/blusher/cream products in general. Which is strange considering I use a foundation brish for cream/liquid foundation. I can't be the only one though surely? Great tutorial, Thanks Nic... Loving the half and half combo to kill 2 birds with one stone...very economic! lol Xx

  • Love this look, and thanks for using products for different skintypes. x

  • lovelyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • I am loving this look...i think if I keep the bronze a little lighter, i can wear this look to for school=) thank you for your hard work on showing us 2 sides of the face for diff. sking types, it was very helpful.

  • lovely, love the dewy look, I wish you or your sister would do a look on someone with darker skin, but I still learn a lot

  • I love how you did completely different products on both sides of your face and yet you still made it look the same.

  • As always, completely gorgeous. Really appreciated the dual sides. So helpful.

Question: Noticed neither you nor Sam use an eyelash curler... Should I skip this step (which I'm currently religious about) as well?

  • Nic, you're KILLING my pocket book! I love this look but it's going to have to wait until I get all the products for your basic smokey eye...LOL! You're the best, thanks again!

  • I can imagine you have a huge makeup collection.

  • thank you for the great tutorial! i seriously think you look beautiful w/o makeup though, too--in a more hmm.. "approachable" and simple way that's really nice.

  • I like the look of that primer, especially because it's clear! Has it worked well for you?

  • Really liked this tutorial.

I think I'm going to try the Beverly Knight range too. Thankyou!

  • this look is so pretty,i love the sleek palettes as well! <3

  • Sooo pretty!!!

  • Definitely agree trol! Nikky (if that's her name, sorry LOL) is abs gorgeous x

  • thanks for listing products

    very helpful

  • wow i love this look :o

  • Love it!!!

    You really are gaaaawgeous ♥

  • Seriously, i could watch you and your sister doing make-up all the time!!

and the dewy look was brill, i loved it!! so natural!!

    :D

  • Those lips... those lips!

  • I must say, you've got a STRIKING face. Make-up or not. Flaunt that shit more, girl! In all due serious, does this girl has a memorable face or what, people?

  • just watched your video and didn't know about the Sleek makeup range and i'll be going to buy a palette soon because the colours are exactly what i wear and they look gorgeous!! thanks for uploading this video i'll be trying this look soon!! x

  • On average, how much does this make up run for

  • This one is amazing! It's hard for me to get a glowing look with my oily skin I usually look like I dipped my face in oil. I'm going to try this one.

p.s. thanks for the tips and hints for darker skin tones :) Keep it up!

  • I love the MAC Invisible Set powder. My skin is super oily in the t-zone and not only does it set my makeup it really refines my skin texture and leaves it looking smooth.

  • you looks like Lindsay Lohan ;) hehe

  • Gorgeous and very helpful. Thank you. :D

  • Gorgeous, as ever! I especially loved the dewier, dry side (even though I have oily skin). Could you possibly consider a Natalia Vodianova tutorial please? She's stunning but I can never pull her look off - thanks! xXx

  • ooh yes please, great idea ChooLove09!

I love Natalia as well, she reminds me of a kitten for some reason, LOL - in a good way of course! :)

I love her eyebrows in particular, and she seems like a lovely, generous person as well

  • I love your hair in this video...I've got a similar style and have been looking for a tutorial to get a wavy, loose curl. Do you think you could post one? Thanks for all the great videos!

  • i cannot express how much i appreciate the tips you give for black skin. most gurus neglect to inform what works or doesn't work for black skin. thanks so much Nic!

  • honestly this is one of, if not THE best makeup tutorial i've ever seen on youtube.. very helpful, very gorgeous look, described well & a great person to draw inspiration from for a look.

  • Great tutorial, really useful tips....I've learnt soooo much from watching your videos....you're so creative :)

  • Loved this!

I like to use MAC's Prep & Prime Transparent Powder as that doesn't make me ashy at all.

  • Oh Nic...what an inspiration, as usual! You make it look sooo easy! BTW.. what blemishes?? Your skin is dewy gorgeous!!! Keep up the fab work!

  • HI! i have really dry skin and i dont use powder because i'm afraid it could get drier, y use body and face from mac, and i love the glow it gives me but i find myself after working for 8 hours every day with no makeup at all, any tips or any powders for dry skin?

  • haha, I love testing nail polishes. It always makes the hand so festive :)

  • Yet again another GREAT tutorial.. Thanks so much for doing this for us! :).

  • I met Adriana Lima last year. Her beauty is mind-blowing in person.

No matter how totally different Nic and Adriana are, I can totally see this is as Lima's makeup. Amazing.

  • Isn't she though! I was stunned at how she was even more beautiful in person... when I see photos, they do not even do her justice. Where did you meet her?

  • I love watching both of your videos :) gorgeous.

  • your nails are gorgeus !!!! :D and the makeup is brilliant too :D xox

  • Gorgeous!

I like these colors of eyeshadows so much but they don't look good on me because I'm rather pale and my eyes are very small.

  • I really liked this video!!!

  • u hav prty eyes

  • why do you have such beautiful skin? :) im sooo jealous!!!!

  • Make up does make a difference!!

  • i love your voice its so cute

  • I have black skin and I am oily. I have been wanting to purchase the Armani foundation. Do you think it would make me even more oily?

  • I have to say i think it may be... sorry i have dry skin and i even found it a little oily, but i do like that finish on me x

  • Oh thanks for telling me that. I will stick with the Mat Lumiere then : )

  • i love your hair, can you do a tutorial?

  • so sexy

  • You are so much more beautiful than her.

  • I love it, yall are the best

  • you're attractive dear

  • brilliant tutorial as usual! so would you not recommend using a primer on dry skin? i have recently bought one from the body shop just to try it out but now i'm scared to use it because i have dry skin! what do you think? x

  • u look better without the makeup

  • very very nice :) do u use brow gel for every day btw? or is there no need for ur daily looks?

  • Thank you so much for this video. I'm a professional make-up artist in Belgium and you and your sister are a true inspiration to me. I love watching you both with your excellent knowledge of products and techniques.

Maybe a special request? A typical Arabic-wedding-make-up-look!! Lots of fun!!

  • It looks absolutely fabulous again! I'm a professional make-up artist from Belgium and you and your sister are a true inspiration to me. I love watching you both. My special request to you: an Arabic-wedding makeup look! Lots of fun!!!!

    i hope u have an answer =)

  • I LOVE the Storm palette from Sleek. I bought it along with the Graphite one after I watched Sam's tutorial. Also bought the One face powder and a coral blush from sleek, loving both of them SO much. Cheap and effective makeup xxx

  • Totally fab, love it, your so talented.

  • you r so beautiful in this video!!!!!!!:)

  • wow amazing how you can look just as dewy and fab as the models with the right application! Another fantastic addition to my 'favourites' ! thanks

  • Love this look, specially the dry/oily skin explanation. Would you mind make a look for eyes that are far away and a look for yellow /olive undertones (best colors)

    Thanks : )

  • hello love, well the first thing is that I love your make up. I always see your trends, love

I would ask you, how can I make my face look more fine. because I am a man and wanted to make it show more women with make-up, please wait for your video. my name victor

  • Can you guys do a look from the 2009 Victorias secret parade PLEASE

  • oh cute nails!

  • This is fantastic! You are so talented.

  • Fabulous vid...Happy Thanksgiving to you both ladies! xo

  • Thank you so much for doing a tutorial showing different applications/products for different skin types to achieve the same look!

I still struggle to understand, though, (from an oily-skinned girl's perspective) what the difference is between a dewy-glow look and an oily-shine look? If you have the time, please explain! Thanks much.

  • I wonder about this also. I have dryish skin but I still prefer a matte finish foundation. Only shimmer in eyeshadows and a LITTLE bit in blush is all. I might be missing the point but it seems like the dewy (not oily) look is only good for photos.

  • Pixiwoo,

Do you know any bronzer's that don't overwhelm really fair, cool-toned, peaches-and-cream skin?

Every single bronzer I've tried really overwhelms my fair skin as they're all too dark.

  • where can u buy the storm pallette?

  • very pretty

  • Okay, finally got around to watching this whole video! Thank you SO much for making this tutorial. I was one of the users that had requested this look -- I think you may be using the photo I sent you as a matter of fact. Again, thanks so much and I can't wait to see what else you have coming up! xx <3
