I was lived in jakarta 96-98 ... and the riots were the badest thing in that time. I was so sad that they started the hunting on the chinese people and houses , raping and all the crime. The problem was the politic , not the chinese people.All the indonesian people were happy to work for them. Go to the big malls which were made by chinese...the employes are all indonesian...They are giving work!

I am moslem also indonesian. I'm study and live in christian university and some place with majority of chinese.
In here, I can feel how chinese still feel trauma about this tragedy. Sometimes they are look at me like meet strange people. But not all of them. I have a many chinese and christian friends here. As long as we can love each other and we can understand about situation in indonesia at that time, so doesn't matter about your religion, ethnic, nationality.
