  • This is so easy, Just cut away anything that doesn't look like an owl.

  • you have 2 saws a stihl and a husqvarna what 1 is the best???

  • @airplanefreek454 I own both and I like my Husqvarna better.

  • ok man you are very i mean very talented keep um comming man and all rate coment like all your videos and all subscrib for u : )

  • You are very talented. Keep up the good work. :)

  • what is the music???????? Goood

  • @papposz its silent hill - promise but little edited and looped

  • @midiankai Thanks!

  • As soon as i have my chainsaw certificate, im gonna buy one and practise the living hell out of it!!

  • is it a ripping chain?

  • 5★★★★★

  • that is dangerous and it is very awesome thats probably take couple of years to get the hang of sculpting with a chainsaw!

  • How many hours did that take?

  • probably very few... he does this day in and day out!

  • you think this is good, you want to see some of the other pieces he's done, they are on the website - stunning!

  • kind of makes me wish chainsaws didn't freak me out a little. i would love to do this.

  • why did he switch to the stihl near the end, diff setup? dif type of cut? very good! lot of that up in scotland!

  • the stihl has a different shaped bar on it foir more detailed carving. hope that helps.

  • mate thats just amazing dude wth really cool i wanna do something 2 ^^ but it looks so hard but practice é? XD

  • Its no song, just some backing chords you numbskulls. A real song has a melody. This however sounds like Medicine.

  • im buying one fo christmas :)

  • Great work, fun to watch. There's just something about the sound of a chainsaw that I like.

  • what is the song name ??

  • I couldn't tell you. It sounded like a loop of a song. I'll tell you when I know.

  • ok , would be great

  • cool but dangerous be careful

  • i plan on doing diesel locomotives with a chainsaw. right down to the mirrors and hand rails

  • Now thats skill

  • what is this bollocks about irresponsible chainsaw handling,... Chainsaws are sharp noisy bastards that wants to kill anything that holds it. The fact some one turns it to making pretty scupltures is ,...................cool!!!!!!!

  • I'm starting with chainsaw sculpture, if anybody can help me, what kind of wood is apropiate for this work, and why he uses two different chainsaws?

  • NICE fucking hell now thats what you call a hobbie.

  • This guy clearly knows what he's doing! you clearly don't

  • very irresponsible craftmanship, breaking every chainsaw handlers rule

  • Such as...?

Not being affiliated with any job or hobby chainsaw-related, I'm curious as to how he was going about it "wrong". Is he displaying poor technique, does he have the wrong gear, or is it perhaps just the matter of treating chainsaws too light-heartedly?

  • U a muppet that wants some rules to tell him he is validated to actually live.If you want a saw licence,go get yourself one. The inate quality of craftmanship is craft, not card carrying audited training standards, vetted by an appropriate government regulated licencing body.Handling a saw is timing, trajectory, torque & touch. You find me licence&set of 'handlers rules',that would indemnify me against getting the pointy bits slicing through me

  • this is very very awesome! i wanna do some examples tomorrow. i havent do this anytime. -please dont watch my videos, this is a big contradiction ;)

  • fantastic, michael.

i love the skill and imagination involved.

    best regards,

    sue

  • how long does it take to take to do this? i mean skill wise, how many years?

  • What's the sample... The sample, what/where is it from? A song? What's it's name? I need to know! I'm looking for it for years now, can ANYBODY help me!?

  • классно

  • Sweet way to spend a few hours

  • speachless man great job

  • Yea it was Branden.

  • Wow thats amazing .

  • thanks for sharing,i liek your artwork and btw you could sell them for some bucks and i love watching you crafting things its nice great job

    5/5

  • thanks for sharing

  • seriously hard core making that with a chainsaw, a lot of people would never guess if they had only seen the finished product, great job.

  • OMFG! You're so fucking talented!

    A+

  • well done but the ozone layer and your neighbors thank you for everything !

  • Interesting that you can use that motorized chainsaw without protective klothing in your country. Where I live you'ill need a license, wich i've got, and use specialized klothing wich can prevent a 80km/u spinning chain hacking into your leg. I do some carving myself, altough not as good as this. Great job!

  • well done

my neighbors would love 4 me 2 start this up lololololololol

  • wow. that was so cool

you have some pretty good talent there =]

  • its fun to chase litle kids down the block with a chainsaw i scared the shit out of a 11 0r 12 year old i chased him all the way down the block and i didnt even know the kid

  • i bought a brand new chain saw to try and learn this kinda stuff but im not very good yet :/

  • I would like a lighthouse that is made like that with a working light also do you have any on here .. that is a super job!!! thanks for posting this I really liked it. There is a guy at the fair everyyear i love watching him too

  • Great stuff. The drilling whilst having your hand precisely behind where the bit would pop out was hilarious!!!

I'm kidding. Its obvious you are highly skilled, but it sort of made a parody of my countries strict worksafe laws!

  • it's awesome!! and it's unbelievable... GREAT!

  • Dude you are awsome! anyone thought about how the chaining fits in to the backround music?

  • was it u i saw at Fort william down hill world cup

  • I had the pleasure of watching Andy carve an owl at a resent show in Ardgarton in Scotland,i also have a meer cat of his sculptures,he is amazing.

    Thanks Andy

  • I live in Australia and i read about this in Pick Me Up issue 24th May 2007. I just had to check it out. He has such an amazing talent and owls are my favourite animal! And just check out all the other sculptures in the background! Wonderful!

  • amazin.. shows somethin beautiful can be made out of anything.. what a skill

  • go on yourself my man. quality

    stuart - st andrews,scotland

  • give me a fortnight and i could do this no sweat !

  • Also saw it in this mornings newspaper. Im impressed!

  • Very impressed. Seen this in this mornings newspaper and couldn't wait to get home to check it out on this site. Keep up the good work - you got a talent there.

  • Nice work Andy, I'd like to try my hand at carving with a chainsaw, but the neighbours would only complain. How about someone inventing a silent chainsaw?

  • and I bet you like it that way...

  • 1. SUPER AMAZING!

    2. Too much damn time.

    3. Hobbies are meant to take up your time. =D

  • hatedeathmurder (12 hours ago)

nice work but how fucking useless...makes me vomit

lol it's called a fucking hobby, dipshit.

  • cool

  • i though chainsaws where just to kill people but i see they can make this e.g. owls not a bagger an owl cool owl not a bagger just a cool owl 8)

  • This is a beatiful stuff.

  • cute owl.

  • amazing talent

  • nice work but how fucking useless...makes me vomit

  • how is this useless? have you ever done something creative.. without thinking about how much purpose it really means...like just go out there and try something different for the fun of it. weilding a chainsaw and making something beautiful like that is a heck of a lot more meaningful than just sitting around you know, playing a game or something....ive got a lotta respect for how much effort hes got, and his abilities to combine rawness/nature with something modern

  • sorry mate, to many words

  • mate? i'm a female. this guy does awesome work, enough said

  • ehh hi winterwonder133 u wanna date?

  • lol, sure. but i'll warn you now, ive got a bigger chainsaw than this guy

  • hahahaha! nice reply

  • Wow, amazing! I'd buy that.

  • are you missing any toes or sporting any large scars? any close calls?

nice to see how you worked the stump.

  • amazing

  • nice job that is one cool owl

  • nice job :D i liked the owl

  • chainsaw masacre extreme

  • impresive

  • chainsaws give me the creeps...

  • Imagine what he would have been like in evil dead.

  • whoa that got is godly with the chainsaw adn also with art

  • nice work. the bunny sculpture in the background looks nice too.

  • now thats what chainsaws are for!

  • he is the saw-a-nator

  • poor trees :((

    gj btw

  • I love the deer he made!

  • awesome!!

  • all that detail with such clunky insterments

  • SHOW A CLOSE-UP AT THE END!

  • Haha pause at 4:13 and admire his other sculpture.. it appears at other parts, but this is the fullest view of it, someone must be a porn addict if they wanted him to make that.

  • OMG, liek pure skills :O

  • awesome!!

  • thats awesome

  • wow thats impressive

  • This guy is the coolest!

  • wow nice skill. u are truly are a artist

  • Now that is what I would like for my christmas present. Either that or him in a chainsaw massacre.

  • 31 litres of 2 stroke later...

damn this dude knows his chainsaws. i was expecting to see a lot more chisel than that.

  • get a chisel, man. Chains saw are meant to cut trees down and then up. Your artistic bent would be better serverd with better tools!

  • i love how you take a gross old stump and turn it into a new one for the owl to sit on nice work

  • cool

  • the music should have been louder than the chainsaw noise....that would have made the video more comfprtable to watch

  • just remember all of you jack lumbers! make sure the treevies from the lord of the rings dont see you cause they will kik the living shit out of yall and make owls w/your flesh :P

  • very nice, there are enough trees and gas on our planet, do them all! take the rainforest and make 100 meter owls! -.- just for sensless shit...

  • That's a great sculpture, I like putting those nails in for it's eyes that was a nice touch ^_^ And my dad can do chain saw carving like this too, he's even made owl sculptures a bit like that one but much larger. And my dad's Scottish like this guy too :)

  • Wow...

  • excellent work well done

  • i can do that i just dont want to lol

no seriously that woz well cool man *claps hands at owl sculpter man*

  • wohoo! THAT WAS COOL!!!! (i was cheking an lordi video and when it was ended THIS movei was there =P

    and it was cool!)

  • Thats talent, congrates, plus a well done job st that. I know a guy that would give you goood money for that work maybe?

  • amazing.

  • Well done. A very unique talent.

  • Thats freekin in human! LOL!

    xx

    Kool as tho =] <3

  • Awesome.

  • in-credible...

  • I wish I had a talent like that!

  • that looks so impossible.

  • I gotta learn how to do some stupid but unique shit like this. He's talented.

  • Makes me wonder how many real owls have lost their habitat in the process of mass producing (note wood pile nearby) some wooden trinket that someone can call their own.

  • If you check out his site, you'll see that he's a qualified tree surgeon, so I'm sure he also cares about the owls in them and knows enough not to harm them.

His stuff is nice. I'd buy something like that from him.

  • Thanks ManolisTurbo. Yeah, there's no doubting he's exceptionally talented at making a marketable product with such a crude tool. Just hope he and people like him who capitalise on the natural environment have at least some understanding of the conservational implications associated with their work.

  • he is makeing a penis but you can't tell because it looks like an owl

  • What is that naked dude in the background!? Cool vid btw.

  • Nice! =P

  • you work too fast...slow it down pal.

  • Dont fuck with a man thats got chainsaw skills...

  • dont fuck with a man that got a chainsaw period.

  • hahahaha

  • That must suck to be almost done with it and slip and cut off its head.or be doing one thing and realize that you did it wrong. I don't have that kinda patience i guess. Awsome though

  • Peace 2 u man.. nice work

  • very good.. i can appreciate an artist at work, although i don't think i would ever want a big wood sculpture in my house or yard, but i'm sure someone else would, so keep up the good work!

  • well cool video. very good. can you tell me the name of the song please? i would really like to know! thanks

  • was that a potato peeler at the end

  • I believe that's a rasp. They sort of look like a cheese grater surface, actually.

  • wow well good m8

  • That's awesome.

  • That was great! I love chainsaw art. Thanks for sharing these videos of how you make them!

  • fukin impressive

  • This is amazing! You are very talented! Keep up the great work!!!!

  • what a waste of time and effort. they sell things like that at every gift shop in canada...

  • Ya, where do you think they get them from? Quit crying because somebody else got off their ass and started doing what they love and finding ways to make money doing it, while you sit at home mad about how much your life sucks. Get over it.
