Note: If attacker gets around the waist with your arms free... Defender: Still sink your weight and use foot stomp. Other options: Hitchhiker Thump in the eye and grab 1 finger and bend it back hard and fast - break it off if you have to... the pain should create an opening. Step away and strike or throw if you are a grappler...
3. attempt to step arround behind one side (circle chosen leg around and step behind the attacker's leg) - get one of your guards up between the clenched arms and your body/throat to prevent rear choke; 4. Throw the attacker over the knee of the leg placed behind him - if you can grab the attackers supportive arm with the guarded hand wedged between the clenched grab, to prevent the attacker from breaking his fall - then do it.
Attacker: Bear hug from behind - arms caught in the grab.
Defender: 1. Sink weight (open legs shallow horse stance to maintain stable centre of gravity control to prevent being thrown)- thrust arms out - send butt into attackers lower abdomin;2. foot stomp;
Hey Vortexx, good stuff. Here is a way to take care of someone who gets you around your arms: Drop down in a "horse" stance while pressing out with your elbows as soon as you do this grab the opponents arms and throw him over whichever side you'd like in a hip throw style. I may not be doing the best job describing this technique, but if you get it try it out and let me know what you think. Peace
That's actually a pretty good technique. It would probably take alot of practice to be able to use it effectively in a hostile situation. Thank you for the comment!
Actually not as much as you would think. The timing is key.but in a hostile situation your body weight does most of the work and the lowering of the body makes it easier to push your elbows out. Peace
Very nice Tutorial Mark! That's the same technique we learned for bear hugs, and there are various methods but those shown on your tutorial are good ones to follow. Main thing is not to get yourself into that situation as you indicated. 5/5 and favorited!
Thank you! You know, I really like your comments. You are a very sincere and kind person. I love you videos too. Your videos touch my heart when I see them. God bless you.
I love your videos, make me more, make me more!!!!!!!

Good technique!
Here is another consideration.

Defender: 1. Sink weight (open legs shallow horse stance to maintain stable centre of gravity control to prevent being thrown)- thrust arms out - send butt into attackers lower abdomin;2. foot stomp;
