what u using rpgxp?

u can jsut go to event mode then the third tab adn battle proccessing(thats for slecetn spot) or u right click one of ur maps and edit. then you right click troop and chosoe what mosnter u watn to show up and u can choose ur average steps

This isnt the provided battle system. The makers used pictures for the monsters and characters and used an event to coordinate everything.
