  • Can you do a review please.

  • @BackpackTek Sorry, Due to unfortunate events. I no longer have the camera and have upgraded since then. But I am in the workings of a new channel that will review all things related to cameras and such.

  • three fourths of the way through the video I got a vibe that this whole thing could be a comedy routine - he pulls out the battery, pulls out the ac adapter, the charger, the AV cables - but the box just looked too light as he was moving it around - I thought he was going to get the end, and go WTF they didn't send the effing camera LOL! Well maybe on april fools day or something...

  • @DarkStarAZ enjoyed the vid..

  • do you know how much it coast

  • why are professional cameras are always in old style package

  • B&H is just an amazing store they have over 15 pro full working camcorders on display for you to test out

  • if anyone here wants a great HD camera but cant afford this, the canon vixia hf200 is a great camera for about $530 i have it and i love it!\

btw bro great vid, i have used this cam its awesome

  • probably would have been a good idea to cut the song when you started talking...

  • Hey man i was wondering, does this cam have night mode...if so how do you activate it in the presets

  • @Tactix87 im pretty sure it doesnt, Im not 100% sure as i still am learning this camera =D but it does have exposure settings and preset exposures, hope this helps

  • i want this cam.. or the Sony HDR FX1 . Everytime i see one i go all crazy. XP I have to use a friggin JVC Everi GZ-M120 -.-"

  • @iSkatetooo hehe yea its a good camera. Im about to get a few new stuff to go with the camera, Shotgun mic, boompole, tripod with dolly, and monitor headphones.

  • @NinjaSato is the HDR FX 1 like the same ? or does the HVR have more feautres or what ?

  • @iSkatetooo I am not 100% sure whats the difference between the two other than the obvious "look" differences. It looks like the V1U comes with the XLR mic set up rather than the FX1 doesnt. And the differences in specs such as resolution and such. I suggest googling it or go to the Sony pro website and you should see the list of specs of both cams

  • @iSkatetooo HVR is a lower end camera, with smaller sensors than the FX1. They're essentially the same camera with some performance differences. The main is sound and light. The sound on the V1U is very poor until you invest in a real good shotgun mic. The V1U also has notoriously poor low light conditions; the camera will require massive amounts of light to get a clear picture and quite often video lights alone aren't enough.

  • Really? poor lighting? Well do you know anything about the HVR A1U? Lighting, sound quality? Is it enough bang for your buck? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • @LaneLIpro Well, the V1U uses three 1/4" CMOS chips and that is why it has poor low light capabilities. Without a light, after a certain point, you need the gain so high that it just fills the picture with grain. The highest you can go without many issues iw 6+dB. That aside, it's still a great camera and is used in tons of professional documentaries, music videos and by news agencies. I've never used the A1U but I do know it's a lower end camera, w/ smaller sensors and no 24p.

  • @pom0ify pretty much thats what it is in a nut shell. couldnt have put it better.

  • @LaneLIpro @LaneLIpro well I have a sony HVR-A1U and I'm working on a Documentary with it atm.

    /user/SamsEditReel (video: Spencer J. harrison)

  • @LaneLIpro Audio switches between two mics (on board shot gun) and sennheiser ME66 (if I recall correctly)

I have another video on my channel that I did color grade a bit that I shot with nothing but on board shotgun mic.

    GSUS music event.

  • @iSkatetooo FX1 is 3CCD, V1u is 3CMOS

  • @GanEdenAustralia im sorry... what is the difference... which one is better..?

  • Where did you purchase this beast

  • I bought this beast on B&H Photo...if your thinking about buying any type of these cameras. dont buy it on a shady site. i almost did, "if the price is too good to be true, it usually is"

  • Not depending on the price, would you prefer this camera or a Z5U?

  • @ktm016 I would highly recommend the Z5U hands down.

  • ok, thank you

  • @NinjaSato Is there a reason why, and whats the difference between the two.

  • @NinjaSato so was your experience with b&h good?

  • @high1cloud I couldnt be more happy with B&H, fast shipments and reliable returns. I always do business with them!

  • i love this camera

  • Quite possibly the worst video ever made.

  • Quite possibly the worst comment ever made

  • How does it behave when you shoot in low light conditions? Have you experimented any problems?

  • I have tried in low light conditions. I actually have a video on my channel. Its called "Slingshot" It was shot at night, with only light from the signs.
