Dude in my new game + I thought theese were so easy but I must have gotten lucky the first time I kept getting knocked off the fucking edge and once I had one of them dead and the other had like one hit left and that fucker knocked me off the edge. Didn't play for a few days after that.

if ur the type of gamer who just wants to beat this boss with ease then yeah use firestorm or use a glitch (at the right side of the fog wall just shooy arrows at the man eater). but if ur a gamer(like me) who wants a real challenge then just use warding

and just hit it up to 50 percent (no spells) and fight them head on (no sword or arrow just gods hand)

Am I the only person who doesn't have trouble with this boss? :/ Just dry hump the large brazier in the center of the walkway and be patient, attacking the tails whenever possible. Even with both Maneaters in the area at once it's never been overwhelming for me, so long as I don't get knocked around near the edges. Usually takes between 5-10 minutes for me to kill them both.

Strangely enough, I can't imagine why people had so much of a hard time with this boss. I didn't have online when I first beat Demon's Souls so I did what I felt was right... Started off with a Barbarian and just became a melee-centric player. The hardest part of Demon's Souls for me was improving until I made enough Souls to buy MORE herbs than I had used xD! After that, the game was just an awesome learning experience! But this guy was kinda simple. Got him on my 2nd attempt just lern his atks

I found the most effective strategy to use is go in and butcher the first one with the meat cleaver till it drops, rinse and repeat with the second one. Dont get too close to the edge though...

I had 2 fucking blue phantoms on my team, I was completely ready had all equipment, stroll in and the mother fucker kicks me off the bridge... I walk back in with my buddies... we get halfway down his HP bar till the 2nd one flies outta nowhere and knocks me off the bridge -.- ... I went back a 3rd time with 2 blue phantoms and 1 black phantom.... they helped me kill the 1st, but they all died leaving me one on one with the 2nd..... gladly I finally won :D

just juggle them with the fire in the middle, use the fire as a wall, always have warding on. hit and run to safety, takes me around 20 mins

i killed both alone (most of the times before that i died by leaping off the bridge while dodging).

i ran past the first one up to the torch in the middle - u can use it to block their movement towards you.. pop out for a few shots.. pop back into cover... always maneouver yourself so that you are on the opposite side of the torch

This was the scariest boss. All of a sudden you see 2 yellow eye's looking at you and he starts creeping towards you with the an odd gait as though he broke his leg and is still coming towards you. Hardest boss in the game imo.

I'm on NG+ and I never beat the maneaters. Through some sort of glitch when trying to be summoned to be the archdemon BP I was transported to the boss room, but had to fight an NPC black phantom. Skipped all of world 3.

Moral of the story: Bramd = WIN.

I hated this boss fight. If you don't widdle the first one's hp to about 20% before the second one comes, the rest of the fight is just about you getting systematically butt-fucked until you die. It's ridiculous.

Thats exactly the point of this fight... Unlike many other boss fights in this game, this one actually forces you to blitzkrieg at the boss, fortunately hes not that fiercesome, just take care of not to fall and thats it =)

@LynxNGaizk A blitzkrieg boss fight would have been perfectly fine. But having to do that on such a narrow runway is asking too much. I've beaten the game twice now with the same character, and now I can't get past them on the third round. It's impossible... Unless you cheat... Like shutting the game off as soon as you die so you don't have to start over... But I hate doing that.  I feel dirty afterward and I hate myself.

@scraps992 I guess it isn't impossible since I beat them on NG+++ it isn't that hard just take out their tails and use the lantern torch thing for cover. It's one of the easiest boss fights actualy.

@Dantarn When i first fought the man eater, i was using a demon brandt (killed ostrava, too key, and beat old king) and a white bow, with 30 white arrows, and a lot of heavy arrows. anyway, the moment i ran up to him, what did he do? he did that pounce thing. but i glitched out, and flew all the was back THROUGH the fog door. i then wasted about 375 heavy arrows. and all 30 white arrow to kill it... i then couldn't go through the fog. i reset. and had to fight him AGAIN. but this time, i died X)

@undertaker49999 Today i was playing on a new guy. i wanted this character to be pure ranged, so all my melee weapons are upgraded to be DEX based. anyway, i was fighting the man eater, i killed the first one, yeah easy. the second didnt want to spawn (glitch) so i ran around shooting arrows untill he did.. as i went to the giant torch in the center, he appeared IN the flames staring at me... i freaked out so much i threw my controller in the air. and fell backwards.. those freakin green eyes...

starting the bossfight the first maneater ran up at me, i rolled and dodged his attack, cut his tail, and all seemed pretty easy. then i looked down and saw 2 life bars and i was like "wtf is that for?" it was too late though, for i got hit by both of their rushing attacks.

I could solo these guys quite nicely on my first run with a faith build using a blessed weapon. Although I might've been kinda high level for the fight, I think it was one of the last ones I did.

Then I was dicking around trying to get summoned as the BP boss, got summoned by a guy to fight them, and I'm like "DON'T WORRY I GOT THIS"
