  • 23psi? what bhp u churnin out with that m8, must be pretty mad! ive just got the 007p for my 20vt golf, does urs still run with management light on with that d/v as i had the baileys BOV and ecu saw it as a boost leak makin the car run like complete shite!

  • @ihfuckinboy Im boosting 26psi now and making 273hp. 007P makes no SEL as it's a fully recirculating valve, as this engine is designed for. Use an open cone air filter and remove the under-hood insulation and you'll get a nice sound. 007P valve can be used both ways. Check it.

  • @oistein74 yeh just got the 007p waitin 4 the parts to fit it in among other shit too. it does sound nice. just wish id realised this sooner as its ma first turbod car so wasnt aware of the issues caused by what was already fitted (i.e. BOV). o yeah n u must b lovin ur 273 horse, thats fukn rad :D! underhood insulation as in the plastic covers aye? sorry m8 not sure names or shit just how to belt the car round corner n keep turbo spoold t get a boost out of it hehe gotta luv boost:D!

  • sorry, I removed one comment by mistake. The dude in S3 has the same engine and Turbo as this car. 1.8T with a K04-23 turbo. Ull get the best sound with an open cone filter, 007P valve installed VERTICAL w/ green spring ( ask if unclear), remapped to 20+ psi and remove the bonnet cover.

  • sorry for my noobness but how can u fit this thing otherwise ?

u mean so that the vacuum line is horizontal to the right ? and not vertical up like normal fitting

  • no, you know how the spring located inside the valve? Thats what im referring to. Horizontal is... well, horizontal.. I just dont know

w any clearer way to describe it... The thin vacuum pipe on the top can only be connected to 1 hose, but you can interchange the two others.

  • actually yes, the thin vacuum line and the spring is fixed in the same direction....

  • ok u first had it in reverse mode ? is that it ?

so in this video u have it just like it should be ? normal ?

  • Imo reverse mode is vertical. Normal mode from designers standpoint is horizontal. On the video its horizontal, but I changed it over just bcs it sounded like a little mouse when it opened.

  • @oistein74 horizontal is the wrong way to install this, the original OEM dump valve was not fitted this way.you had to use a blue spring first cos it was installed wrong and prob damaging your turbo, you should maybe try a yellow spring in there for that kinda psi boost.

  • @VIKINGODIN I know. Many ppl install it horizontally and the manufacturer, Forge say this valve can be used both ways. The different springs are ment to be used in a horizontal setting. I used the green spring vertical boosting 26psi. No problems.

  • @oistein74 I did a bit of research and your right, apparently the original way is horizontally and they turned them vertical to preserve the failing diaphragms, but on a forg 007p the ram is ally so there is no need for this, installed sideways the spring load force applies, installed vertically its not really as much of an issue as the vacuum is controlling the recirc action rather than the boost psi on the spring, ive just relised mine is vertical like OEM but that had a diaphragm

  • sounds nice !

i also got the forge DV (not yet fitted though)

but u are using the blue spring ?

ithought they said using the yellow spring is for 20 till 30 PSI ??

  • I had to use the blue spring when I placed the valve horizontal.. if you understand. Now I have it vertical and Im ok with the green spring.

  • sounds like a little mouse doesnt it? :P
