I attended Kent State in 1984. I went to a lecture on the events of that day, the event preceding that day and the rhetoric that followed. Yes, there were riots in town, and the ROTC building was burned down. However, the government, and the media, failed to mention that the riots were caused by outside agitators, and the ROTC building that was burned down was nothing more than a storage shed that was already slated for demolition.
