OMG I thought I was the only D3 owner with this problem. While under warranty I complained to LRA about them just to get a dumb ass look. Had similar problems on a similar model as well. Now all you guys who dont know about D3, its not the fact of paying $50 odd for blades but why the hell should you after forking $100k for what is claimed 4x4 of the WORLD numerous times over. I men shit, my mates 85 corolla is still more reliable than this thing!
not to seem blunt or anything.......but why dont you just replace them yourself?? go to an autoparts store and put new blades on. the shit you get from dealers is just that. no matter if its a jeep or a lambo. my jeep's wipers were crap out of the dealer too. just get a new set of wipers and replace them. if you dont know how to check your owners manual
I've got a solution to your wiper problem. Use a little bit of rubbing alcohol on the blades. When they were in the package, they dried out a little. This happened to me a few times. But yes, use rubbing alcohol on the blades and they should work just fine. :) Tell me if this works. It worked for me.
God, talk about a pain in the ass. I'm sorry you have to put up with that. That would drive me nuts. I would try different wiper blades. I don't know whether they have auto-parts stores in the UK, but someone there should be able to help.
im sure user error is a enormous factor. wiping too much on a dry or dryer windscreen is bound to cause them to do that. i stand with "stushez" on not taking your automotive advice!
OH of course!! how could i not notice that you are ALWAYS right! wow how stupid of me. not owning, but having test drove new and used LR3s myself for days at a time. how could i not notice this defect? probably because it never happened to the vehicles i drove. Wow! Im SOOO ignorant.
Hi, if you read the comments you will see the dealer did replace the blades. These were the brand new blades, only a day old! I made the video because my local dealer refused to believe me when I told them there was a problem. Unfortunately with my dealer "The Customer's always wrong".
Finally, after 12 months and seeing this video, someone at Land Rover admitted there was a design fault with the blades and there are now a new make available which they agreed to fit - for a fee of course!

You are incorrect - the wipers behave like this in a downpour. In the video it is constant drizzle.

Well the camera doesn't lie. If you think it is acceptable that's fine. I'm used to a better standard.

I think you should just get different wiper blades. Not the factory ones, a whole 'nother brand. Bosch blades are very good.
