I've begun to read Mathis' book about his life and if you knew about some of the stuff he was doing before he even turned 15, you would be all the more amazed about his rise to become a judge.

Granted you are the man of the household, but in being a parental figure you must show understanding, compassion, and protective qualities towards those in your household.

I had seen this episode once a year and some change ago. The guy, Brandon is doing well. He said that he's accepted Christ as his savior, and he has a great relationship with his aunt (not the uncle, of course). Mathis donated some money to him, as well.

Judge Mathis is a man that young African Americans should look up to. It's obvious that it pisses him off when he sees guys like that, no respect, no ambitions and using race as an excuse for his shortcomings. The magazine cover has Judge Mathis on it. It stated that the boy is doing well.. I tried to post the link but it was too long for youtube. I had seen this episode once a year and some change ago. The guy, Brandon is doing well. He said that he's accepted Christ as his savior, and he has a great relationship with his aunt (not the uncle, of course). Mathis donated some money to him, as well.
