Does anyone know which piece of music this is? I know it's by Pugni, but none of his music if on iTunes. Thanks

she's very loud on her landings... looking at lots of videos of her dancing shows that quite a lot. but she is incredible and is still one of my fave dancers never the less :D

@polkadotpolka123 it's just the pointe shoes. Every dancer is loud in landings. With sold DVDs of ballets professionally filmed sometimes they edit out the dancers footfalls and enhance the orchestra so you can't hear them. I, however, quite like being able to hear the dancer landing. It shows whether they are in time and it makes you feel as if it was more.... live.. as if you were closer to the stage. But hey, each to their own. :)

i don't know. svetlana is my favourite dancer but she seems to have no energy here

@MissBeautydelight yeah i agree... there's something with her jumps... everything was perfect but the jumps looked not as effortless as usual. maybe she just had a "bad day". well shes amazing, beautiful and the best dancer anyway!

@Juventina1005 Maybe she transmits this "bad" sensation because jetes are usually executed with right leg turning right, but here in this variation she is executing them with left leg. I'm not sure to have understood what you wanted to say, but at the beginning i had the same impression.

@rivombreuse that definitely increases the difficulty but I'm sure she is able to do better that that even if it's harder ;)

the jumps seem powerless, her upper body moves too much and it looks like she has to push herself up more than usual. her arms are very tense and don't move seperately from her legs, they look clenched. that's what i meant with "something with her jumps" :D oh, well that sounds harsh! even her "bad day" skills are beyond reach for me! ;)

I'm really sad thinking that my "best days" in ballet cannot even be compared to her "bad days" :D

@rivombreuse oh yes so am i. i'm always watching her and other dancers cuz i think you can learn very much by studying their moves and i'm often like "ok, shouldn't be that hard" and than i'm in class in front of the mirror, doing the same jump/move whatsoever and my mood changes from "yes, you can do it" to "what? what did that look like? Horrible." very frustrating! ;)

@idebobzz yh i thought that the first time too, but now that ive watched it so many times it looks amazing and so... fun, to me. of course it does require a lot of work, but it still looks fun. :)
