I really love Kate's character design....this is definitely one of my favourite shows by Gonzo. I agree with pred89 though, the ova is pretty useless.

actually if you rly studied japanese history, you should know that japanese culture was deeply influenced by the Chinese including their language. While Korea may have copied Japan's culture, the contrary could have happened too. And I don't see any mentions on Indians copying Japan...

It's a really interesting series that different from usual. I recommend giving it a try. But I have to say that the Japanese version is highly superior to the English dub. The dub kind of ruined it with the bad screaming and changing the script around. Plus some voices just weren't really good at all. But that's my opinion. I would definitely watch it in Japanese if you can.

i bought the 2 box sets for this after being drawn into it by anime network & while it ends kindda odd it was still pretty good. Wish they'd make a second season! the animation is really beautiful! though i have to admit after ep 21 everything kinda sheems rushed and unfinished.

Ok, that has nothing to do with this. There are a lot of anime that take place in different places but it's still in Japanese cuz it was made in Japan.

Woah, wait a minute here. I know for a fact that Funimation wasn't dubbing this show before. I think it was ADV that did. Funimation bought out ADV or did they just buy this series from them?

I think it's still ADV's dubbing. FUNimation just bought the rights from them to distribute it or something, I guess. *shrugs*

No, ADV had a deal with another company, but the deal then died and Funimation got the rights to this and along with 30 other titles.

ADV had recently been wiped off the market and was replaced by a new company called Section23 films.

ADV dubbed this and licensed this. They lost the rights to this and 30 other shows when their investor left and took all the titles they funded the money for away from them. then that company sold the rights of all those shows to funimation.
