i am really aorry for you guys over there taking such horrid treatment- keep up the complaints and do you have a housing complaints service like an ombadsman you could go to with the complaints- or a solicitor - you should be entitled to compensation- maybe all of you could agree to withold rent and pay for your own repairs out of the rent?
I live in 4624 S. Ellis and am currently battling with East lake regarding upgrading their security of our 105 unit building. We had a shoot out in our parking lot, they smoke reefa in the hall and defecate in the hallways and stairwells. Why should the tenants who abide by the rules of the lease be forced to live in such conditions?
I use to live at east lake management at 1354 s Morgan and the place was 90 degrees inside my apt, in all the apts over there at 1354 S Morgan Barbra Jean Wright Courts the apts is so hot and the management company wont do a thing about how hot it is in the apts.. So I agree they are slum landlords and dont give a hell about the tenants
Do you think moving is easy? This video showed a senior citizen with serious health problems. I bet some tenants have Section 8 vouchers. If so they can't move unless it is authorized by Section 8. Section 8 tenants are required to stay in a lease for the first year. Oh, by the way moving costs money. Movers are not free and Section 8 does not pay for movers or security deposits. Security deposits can be equal to 1 or 2 months rent. Plus you still have to pay 1st months rent.
