I got question, what happen if u throw side way, u know the star in other angle, would it still work? Like example, like the trigger, but ur throwing to ur right side way.

@TheBastered it would work but would be a little more difficult given the angling of the throw. Like he said, make sure ur arching in the direction you want the star to go. As for the type of holding, i suggest the pinch or as he didnt mention, the disk hold ( holding it with ur thumb in the palm of ur hand though, this hold is more dangerous given the fact that you could seriously cut urself in ur not trained). All the things he says apply to a side throw but, it's just more difficult :3

why would you throw a ninja star at a samurai? they are armored from head to toe...and how close are you if your throwing a ninja star to gain an advantage with your sword? that don't make sense...its a useless weapon.

@unit74b Samurai arn't armoured at the neck or eyes, also in joint areas to allow mobility, and like it said in the video these are meant for distraction, because no person would just stand there while a knife is being thrown at thier face, everyone have that passive reaction to protect themselves, in that split second, it gives the ninja an opportunity to strike with a sword or any other lethal weapon

@helkdona226 - You believe in the classic ninja from the movies. It was highly unlikely that ninjas ran around in little black suits. The book Secrets of the Samurai provides a more realistic perspective of a ninja which more likely worn everyday clothes to collect intelligence but getting a position in rival clans and providing information to the other side for money. Ninjutsu was a recently devised art that started in the 20th century. Sorry for the bad news.

@RazDaz2000 you can actually make origami ninja stars, and trace the design onto an old cd and cut it out, they fly much better than paper. and you can go one further and trace it onto sheet metal and have a real ninja star :)

@10bluedude1 BUDK's products are kinda iffy. They have some good brand name stuff, but most of their "shuriken" and "throwing knives" are cheap stainless steel POS that will bend and/or break within a few weeks of use. good for casual/occasional use, but if you want some better quality ones, try the cold steel shuriken. I bought a set of three "flame throwers" from BUDK and they threw okay, but now=crap, broken handles and bent tips.

@333black999 - I've been practicing them and a No-Spin knife throw. Once I feel that I perfect it, I'll post a video. I try to put alot of research into my videos and make sure to keep them short with only the most important information.
