@necromancerification During the Cold war the Russians were shipping ak's to the Egyptians, but the shipments became hard to get through so they just shipped them some ak tooling which they installed at a factory in Maadi. So the rifles are called Maadi ak's or just Maadi.

I have a real Egyptian Maadi and its got Egyptian writing all over it on the reciever on the gas block and on the barrel. the one you have is a rebuild. And from what I understand it the egyptian aks have tons of slop, I have ak's from Romania, yugoslavia, China, Egypt, and the USA, but I think the nicest ones are Polytech's and Norinco's made in the same factory (with the 386 stamp) and of course the milled reciever is worth the cash.

I have a Lancaster AKM built from a Romanian G kit. It has the same bolt hold-back as the Maadi in your video. I never though that was intentionally done by Lancaster I just thought something was out of spec to cause that.
