hey everybody do you know there' s an amazing JX3P Upgrade kit avaible at Kiwitechnics . it gives all the new functions that new synth have ( portamento , 2 nd LFO , better enveloppes, arpeggio , trancegate , full sysex and MIDI CC control .. . it' s just a remplacement chip for CPU to install , no hassle .
The Jx3p was always kind of overshadowed by the Juno-106. The Juno-106 has sliders. Even though they both have DCOs, the JX3P is more digital-sounding than the Juno-106.
Composer Harold Faltermeyer used the JX-3P (with the PG-200 Programmer Module) on his Axel F theme (he also used a Roland Jupiter-8 [JP-8] and a Yamaha DX-7).

It's a real analog. Couldn't be a VA, since it came out in 1983.

Yes, you can control all the functions with the buttons and the slider.

There's a PG-200 VST you could use as a scratchpad before manually editing the patch in, dunno how close it is.
