The patent system supposedly represents an agreement between inventors (IP creators) and society (everybody) to encourage them to solve societys problems. But patent reform, now being discussed, represents an agreement between two other parties; the patent attorney industry, (the cooks and bottle washers of IP) and the patent thieves.
One of my first inventions (some decades ago) was a device which could reduce fossil fuel use in commuting by 50%. Perhaps I should promote it again? Of course.
But I will not, until the fraudulent patent system is changed. Why does the patent system have its own very special rules for evidence - totally unlike rules for evidence in ANY other courts of law? The answer is to milk inventors of as much money as possible. Give up inventors, till we have a TRUE patent system. The One Dollar Patent.
President Obama - why are you going to permit the fraudulent patent system to bankrupt these young new inventors with otherwise irrelevant expenses (before their inventions are even realized) which is most likely to kill their inventions? And patent reform is gong to give the patent thieves (big co.s) carte blanch to steal those inventions. We need a patent system that recognises an inventors human rights - partic. UNDHR part 17 & 27.
