I've learned Flash from the inside, from the file format. It's really, really ugly. Do you know what the future will be like? Generate Javascript with HTML5 to run in the browser. Why, because it's good? No. Because it's the only standard the big players can agree upon.
I have used 5,5 inch floppies... that how "old" I am.
In MAC world, he controls software and hardware, so changing to 3.5 was no big deal. You would buy your programs in 3.5 with a computer with a 3.5 reader... no big change.
But by refusing to allow for adobe he is blocking you from web content. He is not converting it to another more Mac friendly format, he is simply eliminating it altogether...
The example he posses is not relevant and I dont buy the rest of the fractured arguments.

If flash is not running well on a pc it's because of the browser or because windows makes it crash, but on a mac? No, it's the program itself that causes the problems.

I think I see what is going on...
Steve is pissed that he has had it so bad with Mac to stay alive against Windows.
He is used to people refusing to program for mac and now that he is top dog he is having some payback time.
As an expert user I have always thought that "compatibility" had to be a RIGHT and it is not fair on Mac users.

Theres nothing like a PC, keyboard, mouse and a 19" screen.

I just bought a 20$ game because I couldn't find the hacked/free version. It is worth the money. Runs on Adobe Air.
All the porn and game sites run on flash... what do you expect me to do with the ipad??? Check the exchange rate???
