@rootbeerfilms1001 The exact mechanism is not important, look at any video or article describing how a matchlock works. You just need some way of holding a smoldering string and moving it into the flashpan when ready to fire.
nice gun. just my two sense, use ring clamps instead of zipties. you can find them for about a buck at the hardware store. (there stronger and look better)
@MrBagginsEsq It is a 3/8" diameter aluminum tube. I smashed one end shut with JB weld in the seal, and drilled a flash hole. It's not such a good barrel and if you want a serious one without the risk of explosion use a steel tube that has no weld line and has a wall thickness of 1/8"+, look in the plumbing section of you local hardware store. Or you could get a steel rod and drill a barrel yourself but that takes a long time and you need a lathe.
@crapbag1997 It took me a while to learn this from reading online, I don't know where to send you for a good complete guide. Basicaly you just have to set up some kind of all glass distilling thing (or buy a retort like I eventually did) and pour in sulfuric acid and a nitrate salt, preferably ammonium nitrate. Then distill off the nitric acid.
@laurencefeliciano In fact you are a shit gay bitch...it works just fine i know that...GUESS why???Because i am a gunsmith mother fucker!!!His muzzleloading matchlock musket rifle or whatever you want to call it works just fine i see it he just needs to change a bit the trigger mechanism (in my opinion it is a bit dangerous) but its fine motherfucker!!!I believe you say these things just because you cant make what he made...you are just a piece of rubbish...
@HomeMadeGunNut Don't know, I have never shot a serious projectile from it, and it will probably never be shot again because there is a piece of paper stuck in the barrel.
@JaycubL Make a twist with pointy end of some kind of metal wiring, put it on the end of a stick, shove the stick into the barrel, twist and pull out.
@robloxace It's pretty straight forward, you just need a strong smooth inside (no weld line) tube, a piece of wood to mount it to, some string that has been soaked in a kno3/water solution, a pivoting steel wire for the trigger, and some type of propellant.
@MiracleKD18 OK well I don't know what the proper thing to call it is and I don't think it realy matters, but I know there are guns with smoothe, unrifled barrels that are called rifles. Like for example this patent: "Smooth bore rifle barrel United States Patent 6289620", also some airguns with nor riflings are called rifles.
are you breathing that hard from adrenaline? Or did you run to this spot?

10mm from the end of 80mm. 4mm hole through one side and only for the half the other...
then screw a 4mm bolt in the hole and saw off the head. Now you can place the toy caps right
on the 4mm sawn off bolt...the rest is also easy. But always make it strong, because it is
dangerous shit and no toy !!
18Maart1915Gallipoli 2 months ago
Thanx for the video but...if i were you, i make the gun a whole lot stronger !
You make it look like it's no big deal, but you could get seriously hurt...that's dangerous
stuff !...please be more careful and make your guns stronger...because i made them
myself in the past, but i used black powder and toy gun blast caps...aluminum drilled barrel,
15mm by 15mm and 100mm long and calibre 8mm led balls !! You know what i mean ?
100mm total length and drilled for 80mm only, 4mm hole from above at

@proudNRAmember Ya thanks for the tip, that would be better. That gun has a napkin stuck in the barrel and will not be used again though.

Did you make your barrel? If not, where did you get it?

cool! onde you arrumou hno3 and h2so4?
melqui1994 11 months ago
distilling nitric acid to make NC is kinda pointless, you can just use the kno3/h2so4 solution to do your nitration.
BloodthirstyGnome 1 year ago
@BloodthirstyGnome You can do that but NC made this way is much stronger and more pure.
JaycubL 11 months ago
Thanks! the part about the HNo3 pat really helped me! What pureness did you get? (you got the exact same morter as me;lol;-)
Northhunt 1 year ago
@Northhunt Not sure, but pure enough deffinately. I would guess 95%+ pure. The main impurity is probably the Nitrogen Dioxide, which is helpful.

does it have rifled barrel?
MiracleKD18 1 year ago
@MiracleKD18 No.
JaycubL 1 year ago
@JaycubL
If it's barrel is smoothbore, then it's not a rifle - it's a musket then. Or a shotgun, or whatever LOL :-P
MiracleKD18 1 year ago
@MiracleKD18 I don't think it has to have riflings to be a rifle.

rifle - rifling
