The body likes balance. Therefore, not getting enough omega 3 is the same to the body as getting too much omega 6. Generally, the body can not cope as well with inflammation if you don't get enough omega 3's.

First of all fish oil supplements are a processed food !and they become Rancid on the process . all fish is contaminated with MERCURY and PCB ...want to be healthy grow your own food and dont eat process foods my great grandmother died when she was 105 and she didnot take fish oil and no vitamin pills !! people are lazy to cook so they eat garbage ! and sit on the computure and on the cell phone getting emf radiation . and wonder why they have cancer or high blood pressure !
I take 500-1000mg Omega-3 (DHA) a day, 300+mg of Bacopa (brahmi), Multivitamin, and tea/coffee. Best combo ever. It seems that Bacopa potentiates and/or prolongs caffeines effect...love it..

It's proven to help with everything from depression to pregnancy and Alzheimer's. I would love to see a national campaign to inform people on the importance of DHA, Omega 3 in our diets!
