  • seriously! He is old and haggard. What happened?

  • good evolution music

  • Sterling comment from transonicbuoy1. I am with you all the way. I too have said good riddance to a London office populated by the unpleasant and the stupid. Read 6,000 words of bile and satire here:

    aitch tee tee pee

    colon slash slash

    leveragedcommentaryanddaycare

And this song is, of course, Wagnerian in its scope and delivery. Mac and Will are gods for our time.

  • Hated my London office job. Full of twats. I decided to start a new life in Japan. I was leaving Heathrow, the daddy of airports. The big silver bird was powering down the runway. Rolls-Royce thrust. We were over the great city, heading east. All the morons were "In the margins". Classy feeling.

  • Didnt know there was a video for this. wow. love it.

  • really elegant song, like an english lord.i imagine a long trip on an highway...thank you bunnies your songs make my heart always shine!

  • @MackStarTrucker I loved this comment, best one!!! Like an English Lord.

  • A une époque, je traînais souvent à la fnac de châtelet et c'est là que j'ai découvert ce fabuleux groupe!

  • it's one of my favourite songs!

  • Loved EATB in the 80's , missed a few albums then saw them live last year and loved them all over again. Siberia is my fave album but Evergreen has some amazing tracks too. Love Mac's husky voice too.

  • Ian McCulloch and company with one of the best songs of their album Siberia. "In the Margins" is a classic already.

  • one of the best songs for the last few years and yet still unknown to many ....

SEND THE LINK TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW LET'S TRY TO CORRECT THIS AND REMIND PEOPLE ABOUT IT....OK???!!!!!!!!

send it straight to their souls......which still sleeps ....

  • It makes me want to burst out in tears, one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Ian's poetry is so deep and meaningful, all his songs make you feel a certain emotion so fully.

  • Fucking brilliant song.

Just gotta say that I do not really understand all the hate for U2 here. The fact that at one point in their career (Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree) they sounded very similar to the Bunnymen, and probably owed a good deal to them, doesn't mean they should be resented. Every great artist has taken ideas from other artists, it's impossible to avoid.

Can't we just chill and enjoy this song?

  • 5***** how it used to be now~<3

  • un tema casi perfecto ...

  • Beautiful words. Ian's songwriting has grown better with time.

  • Ian has that ability to capture what we all feel, what we all struggle with, throughout each stage of our lives. He really puts a voice to the issues of the human experience. He just nails it. Brilliant song writer.

  • touching the deepest corners of myself...

    prescious...

    love it

  • When Ian McCulloch writes a song it stays written. He touches the deepest nerves and I marvel that he knows exactly how it is and how to tell it. I agree with jackemlyn062: Siberia is a wonderful album.

  • I love this song.

    Fabulous, classic and sensitive.

    Echo and the Bunnymen forever.

    remember the atmosphere of

"Ocean Rain" or "Bring on the Dancing Horses"

  • Brilliant band

  • exelente 5 strellas

  • One of the best songs on perhaps their best albums. Beautiful, mature, MAGIC

  • Thanks for showing me that one. Loved it!

    CF

  • non male, ma le sonorità degli echo anni 80 sono uniche!

  • top song

  • Yeah very few of us have the ability to be cool without being stupid. McCulloch has it in spades of ice.

  • I remember them way back in the 80.-es, when Sky Channel was the only thing to watch, Echo and the Bunnymen was one of the Good! bands;Excellent tunes, fantastic vocals, McCulloch sounds sandpaper cool to this day too....

  • Class,class,class!!

Help! In italy everyone get crazy for u2,and I can't stand them(Bono in particular)...so I support fabBunnymen and their upper class and music.

Ian is always the coolest singer!!

  • you are right my friend, Ian is simply Ian: echo & the bunnymen still and still in my heart

  • one of their very best

  • perhaps,. cool.

  • forget the dancing goat. awful? c'mon try another word.

  • This music video is actually quite awful.

  • Yeah.... for such a fantastic song, the video misses the mood of it completely.

  • is a phantom vox teardrop guitar

  • absolutely the best BEST band on the planet!

  • The Bunnymen rule, Bono and U2 can kiss my big American Ass

  • u2 & bono 1992-2008

    suck and fuck

  • EATB is so much better que U2

  • Love the comment, and fully agree. The best band in the world, have just seen them in Liverpool England and Bono can kiss my English ass!

  • BionicShrubbery, concur, no comparison between The Bunnymen and U-2, or U-4, (whatever..) never was, never will be..Bunnymen will always rule! U-2, bono can kiss my U.S./U.K. ass too!!

  • Theres a poster (I think its still there) in the General Wolfe (an old Victorian/Edwardian pub) in Coventry which was a vital, almost compulsary venue in the 70's/early 80's for any band trawling their shit on the UK gig circuit. 1979/80 U2 played there. Supporting the Bunnymen.

  • Another Great Song, amazing! - D.

  • Bono and u2 owe a great debt of gratitude to Ian and echo an the bunnymen, just listen to unforgettable fire.

  • the riff guitar from "wasteland" of the mission uk

  • Excelente canción de un gran grupo....

  • Love this track, pure quality from the Bunnymen..

  • es uno de los mejores temas de su último disco SIBERIA

  • i think i am going to spontaneously combust. Ian still sounds and looks fantastic. Sexiest man alive.

  • i am realy feelin' the song but Ian needs to lose the sunglasses so we can see those eyes!

  • I agree.

  • mac can tuck me in ANYTIME>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • This is one of the highlights from a really strong albumn. His voice has changed a lot but he really knows how to make it work for him & the guitar work is still fantastic. Thankfully, the magic will always happen when Mc and Will are in the same room!

  • It can't get any better than this: Well maybe if we could bring back Pete and get Les in the shuffle.

They've always been my favorite band and this is just one of many reasons why.

How can you not love ol' Macca? Even if he can be a little difficult at times- dude is a character. Love that hoodie he's wearing again in all the interviews under the coat- looks like candleland days without the leather jacket!

  • this song is fcuking amazing...classic stuff

  • I love this song, thanks for posted

  • A song for a soul thats searching...

  • Hola soy Peruano Me gusta Echo & the Bunnymen q buena banda alguien tendra la version en vivo del siberia Amo a Echo

  • I think Ian has the true bardic spirit. So many so-called Celtic songs are just repetitive and rather boring, but the music should touch your heart and soul, and not just touch them but get very close and squeeze them and light a flame and worship them and open them up and show the deep, rich colors, flavors, sounds that are in the singer/songwriter's heart and in our own. This is what E&TB's music does.

  • will watch in Turkey in 1 week :)

  • I think these lyrics are absolutely haunting and it's a fabulous song. Too bad the video isn't better. Saw Echo this summer and they sound as good as they ever did!

  • This is a great song from a great album; I wish more people would hear "Siberia". I always seem to get bothered by single edits; I checked out New Order's "Singles" from the library yesterday and they edit out Hookey's six string bass intro to "Thieves Like Us", one of my favorite parts): Still sounds great, though.

I wish The Bunnymen would team up with Anton Corbijn again for their videos; this isn't bad, but it doesn't display what a nice song this is.

  • Yeah Siberia is one of their strongest albums ever. I've been lucky enough to see the Bunnymen live lots of times since the comeback in 1997 and they get better and better. This tune, in particular, was included in the set they did for t-inthe-park in 2005 and even though it was in amongst the Killing Moon, The Cutter and all the classics, it really held its own. They should be reveared in the way that the far, far inferior U2 are in my opinion. Proper band!

  • good song, boring video

  • love it...love ian....

  • Great song! I just discovered it thanks to you guys. So it seams like Ian is getting back to writing nice melodies!

  • I absolutely love this song.

  • This is a song poets dream of wrighting.

    Nice i Bridget
