It sounds noisier than it is really but they are designed to be up quite high which lessens the noise but that was on the fastest / loudest setting.
Children shouting and playing under the falling snow soon masks the sound though.....

Sounds like a wet/dry vac :) How would one mask that sound in a quiet environment??
