Atheists have no real clue why they don't believe. Their excuses are always the same, "I've never heard or seen him, therefore he doesn't exist, and you should stop believing too, if you don't you're a dummy". Sorry atheists, but you have to do better than that to get us theists to stop believing.
@MetaKnight964 there is no why involved, I just don't buy these bedtime stories for grown-ups about a man living in a very very big fish for 3 days long long ago far far away, or the 900 year old man who walked thousands of miles to South America, Antarctica and Asia to collect 2 of each animals on a boat he built himself and somehow managed to feed and clean them and prevent gruesome genetic disorders from incest of their future generations.
@MetaKnight964 As for the bible revolving around the moral teachings, I'm not too keen on dragging my future wife to her fathers doorstep and call people to stone her to death if there's no evidence she's a virgin. Maybe you are but I frankly don't really think that's a very moral thing to do. Also don't really buy the "different times different culture/out of context/its the old testament, the new is better"-argument given that Jesus himself wanted people to follow the old testament.
@alex007152 LMFAO! Oh the hypocrisy! So let me get this straight. When you are 'open minded', it is a great thing, but when she is it means her brain is falling out? Silly atheists can't even make up their mind.
@AvatarRoku1 read my responce to MetaKnight, having an open mind is fine but there is a point at which your brains have leaked out, much like yours. I was 6 orso when I stopped believing these things yet there are still adults who buy these stories? Ever heard of the renaissance or the scientific method? I think you might have missed those and basically all you're left with are uneducated comments on people who didn't even make a claim to begin with. Burden of proof is on who makes the claim.
@alex007152 Yet it's ok for atheists to be close minded to the possibility of the existence of God, and you atheists have yet to prove that God deosn't exist, and don't give me any of that atheists have nothing to prove bullsh*t.
@MetaKnight964 it's in the bible (Deuteronomy 22:21). Islam has it's own morally repulsive ideas. I'm an infidel either way, both religions work through circular reasoning or internet conspiracy theories because they can't on evidence or the scientific method. It's like a coin toss. Both have hundreds of millions of followers. The Qur'an says those who believe in Jesus go to hell and the Bible says those who don't believe in Jesus go to hell. I'm taking no sides they can screw eachother lol
@MetaKnight964 actually there might be a god (Quantum field theory to the rescue of uneducated fanatics...), I just find the so called holy books utterly repulsive and morally completely outdated by centuries. A lot are known bronze-age superstitions and plagiarism from earlier gods (Mithra, Horus, Krishna, you name it (virgin birth, miracles, resurrection, river baptism etc etc)). Anyway if people just keep it to themselves I don't mind it.
@MetaKnight964 you're *considerably* more liberal than the fanatics I've been debating lately, they say even if a person was to lead a completely sinless life and even gave it up to save for instance a child from a train crash that person would still unquestionably burn for all eternity in hell (despite finite lifespan..) if he or she doesn't believe in Jesus or whatever deity of choice. It's just completely messed up man, there's a reason people stop taking sides in these things lol
@MetaKnight964 I used to consider myself conservative but at one point you wonder, conservative of what really when you think about it lol. The founding fathers weren't christian afaik. ("a light house is more useful than a church", the "Jefferson bible" etc)
I figured maybe it's best to judge things without absolute political affiliation or in accordance to dogmatic religious codexes, but using my own overclocked ape brain or just suspend judgement when you don't know the facts ..
@MetaKnight964 the fanatic argued as follow: if you were a rapist, serial chainsaw murderer, child molester, meth addict and dealer, drunk children blood for breakfast for decades on, you're guaranteed to go to heaven if you just start following the bible and become like Jesus after "repenting" and baptism. It's funny when they preach this in public, a corner away there's always some other retard preaching some other religion. "Join us to get saved" goes the marketing most of the time. >_>
This failed ideology that a Human can "believe" in something for which there is zero peer reviewed, logical, demonstrable scientific evidence should be stamped out and ground to dust before a Human is hurt as a result of actions based on it.
As long as I can remember, I believed there are unicorns out there. Since these non-believers can not show a single shred of evidence to disprove it, I am absolutely correct.
She has a pretty good point. Some people are just destined to be a more primitive form of human as the rest of the world passes them. Biding their lives away reading dogma that was just a population control mechanism for some despot, thousands of years ago. Believing that by doing favors for a brutally treacherous imaginary entity, they will buy its favoritism and have eternal life in a magical land.
Everybody has a place in this world, even if it is to be used by somebody smarter.
@AvatarRoku1 You have it quite backwards. Atheism is not a lack of knowledge, that is easily acquired by growing up to a Christian family or studying. I think freely and the notion of a god is not provable or falsifiable from what I have seen in the totality of my life. Technically I am agnostic because I look at it objectively and see the lies. A true Atheist blindly denying god would be in the same boat as theists. Don't get so heated, I'm just text on your screen saying it like it is.
@PalulukanMakto Those examples you gave pretty much sound like the same thing. Either way my stance is that I've educated myself just enough to understand that another unfalsifiable deity, the sun being carried by a chariot, a man riding a horse into the sky, and very roughly estimated 16 million animals and insects with food and water for a year on an ancient wooden super-ship while more water than there is on earth rains with REAL proof contrary; is probably exactly how it sounds.
The atheist simply says that there is not enough evidence for belief in a God. The anti-theist says that not only is there no evidence for such a being, but if one did exist it would be a very bad thing indeed.
You're thinking of Dawkin's cat. 6 "De-facto atheist" compared with the cat. 7 atheist that is absolutely sure of his atheism.
Just a semantic issue, but one worth clearing up.
i dont know why this means athiests have a hard job because people who grow up with religion cant let it go. if you really think about any religion it is quite obvious they were wrote because they were scared and had no answers
Can you conceive of any arguments or evidence that might cause you to reconsider your position? I suspect not. And therein lies the great weakness in your belief system. Your mind is already made up. I see no credible evidence that a supernatural being exists. But, I can easily conceive of evidence that would change my mind. If one has no respect for evidence, then what evidence could ever be offered?
It's pretty natural to go about life never even thinking about the possibility of there being a god. To say that it's difficult to imagine there isn't a god, or worse, to demand proof for why there ISN'T one takes a pretty great deal of fucking stupidity
To be honest, that is actually the best response I've heard from a Christian. If I could convey it so well, that is how I felt when I was a Christian about 14 years ago. Around that year was when I did become familiar with the arguments and alternative philosophies. Beyond that, some education and science helped a lot. In general I think all you need is a passion for finding the truth and the proper tools and information. This woman is a prime candidate for only needing the latter.
@EGMAG do you apply this logic to any thing else in your life? do you not expect there to be evidence of things that are postulated to you. I'm a bank. Invest all your money in me. I hope you are not going to get your cheque book. You should be looking for proof of my claim. Do you see what I mean here? No , I really am a bank. Send me all your money.
Choice, free will, good and evil express to me "proof" that human beings are far more special then savage animals that don't express these abilities. In the wild animal kingdom there appears to be no such thing as sin, good and evil. Wild is how many human beings live and have lived; that is why in order to inhabit a peaceful world society, certain standards of moral and ethical values of respect need to be instilled.Such as recognizing good and evil. God?
@EGMAG You have to stand alone one time in the wilderness, just a few hundred miles from civilization.. Watch the wolves, driven with hunger, risk their lives to separate a caribou from the heard. You quickly realize you are far less important than you ever thought. if you die there, you do not exist but in memory. Nature pays us no mind at all. You can make up things to try to soften the reality but don't let superstition control you. Religion just retards us with fear. I piss on evil!
Humans are part of nature. Humans do care. Humans have choices etween good and evil acts. Wild nature is no longer a human trait with the ascent of human consciousness, memory and awareness.
You cannot compare humans with animals unless your mind is savage and unrestrained. You can "think" and in doing so discover the reality of good and evil and stop acting like a child.
@EGMAG You are obviously deluded. Who makes war? Primates make war. Rats don't make war. Dogs don't make war. And we somehow reason that we are right to do it. We even band together to do it. We are actually worse animals than the wild ones. We have the capacity to change behavior , but we don't. We go to churches and pray that we will be guided by some imaginary entity to do it's bidding. Childish indeed
@wondergundy You should be looking for proof of my claim. <<
I totally agree with that. However I have a hard time understanding what reasons motivates an atheist to do more good to and for, fellow human beings better then one who is a theist constantly trained to behave in a conscientiously upright sinless life. Don't you think evil and sin exists?
@EGMAG I think if mankind had not developed social skills we would not have made it out of the trees.. Watch my back.... I can think of only one sin. THEAFT and we all pretty much know what is ours. Evil is only in peoples minds. Prisons are full of Christians and Muslims. I would not act any differently if you admitted there was no god. So it's up to you... can you be trusted?
Not when evil is acted out; then all society is affected. Whether your theist, agnostic or atheist, ALL are subject to commit acts of evil, and/or good! There are just as many evil acts as there are good acts to be committed. That's the way it has "always" been! It makes you wonder WHY "only" humans have this capacity, doesn't it?
Sure it's up to each individual to walk their paths of choices to be trusted or denied. Can you even trust yourself?
People just get drunk on theistic beliefs, and just like alcohol it may alleviate the depression or boredom for a while, but in the end it will fuck your mind up so bad you will need counseling. Going to a member of any clergy for said counseling would be like going to a bartender for advice on giving up alcohol.
But as for the cowards and the ignoble and the contemptible and the cravenly lacking in courage and the cowardly submissive, and as for the unbelieving and faithless, and as for the depraved and defiled with abominations, and as for murderers and the lewd and adulterous and the practicers of magic arts and those who give supreme devotion to anyone or anything other than God and all liars-[all of these shall have] their part in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. This is the second death
How can theists observe all the misery and catastrophes in the world and still believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful, loving god.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." -Bertrand Russell
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." -Stephen Roberts
Atheist only have a hard time because Christians are delusional. We show them Gen. 1, noahs ark, slavery, incest, rape, genocide is wrong, they come up with an excuse why their God speaks it. A person convinced the is a flying spagettii monster can not be convinced other wise
@Omircoid of course, pastafarianism whilst humorous is specifically designed to refute scientific claims against its existence. It says in the holy book that FSM planted evidence to trick the scientists.
TRANSLATION: "I am too closed minded to consider any other possibilities, so I will just ignore them and blindly believe what I was taught while growing up."
She is a typical christian. They believe in god without question as if his existence is an absolute fact and refuse to listen to anything different. Atheists on the other hand would listen to christians and consider believeing them if they brought proof, other than their unwavering belief and the bible, of gods existence. Christians always claim that god is beyond us and that he exists as a being unconstrained by the laws of physics. But atheists don't demand direct evidence ....cont
@Ondrix I have other proof ,read the Book of Mormon and ask yourself how it could of come to exist . Only one answer . A divine other worldly influence . Our Heavenly Father .
@mollymu1 Do you actually know the story of how the book of mormon came to be or what it says? Because if you did you would know that it was completely made up by joseph smith and believed in by idiots. It was NOT, however, created by a "divine other worldly influence". Anyone can make up a book and claim it comes from god. But if your going to do that you should bring some proof other than unfounded claims.
@Ondrix Yes I know how The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ came about . I also know a 19 year old living in the 1800s could not of '' made it up '' and so do you . If you knew the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true would that conflict with how you live your life . Would you have to make major changes ?
@mollymu1 First off.... no. Even if christianity (any branch of it) turned out to be true I wouldn't need to change make ANY changes in my life. I do my best to live as a good person so there would be no need. Second..... name one thing in the book of mormon that couldn't POSSIBLY have been made up. The only one here who believes it couldn't have been made up is YOU.
@Ondrix I know you are searching . Like I said read the Book of Mormon . There are many proofs but the Lord isn't going to hit you over the head . And as for his existence just look at an egg and think of it 's construction etc. The proofs are all around you .
@mollymu1 WOW..... typical christian. Ignore my questions (because you can't answer them) and say something completely pointless. You tell me "the lord isn't going to hit you over the head" but I didn't ask the lord (who may or may not exist)...... I asked YOU. And an egg isn't proof that any branch of christianity or their beliefs are right. If you claim there is all this proof that proves you right and will convert me then POINT IT OUT..... and don't jsut CLAIM it exists (when it doesn't).
@mollymu1 That isn't proof of god. That's an egg. I'm sure you're thinking "oh well god must have made this egg as it is so complex etc." but no. You can pick up a biology textbook and read about the egg. or even better talk to an evolutionary biologist who can explain how the egg came to be without god's help.
Not to mention how absurd and ridiculous your religion is. Maybe you should use reason and logic instead of dubious texts.
@Ondrix Things that are in The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ show a knowledge of Gospel items that no one could make up . Had to come form our Heavenly Father .
@Ondrix Do you think it was invented in response, or maybe to compete, with other religions. It is an offshoot of christianity? Does any religion come with validation?
@wondergundy Mormonism (and other branch religions stemming from an original) was created not in response to, or to compete with, other religions. It was created because of the disagreements some people have with their religion. Rather than admit that their religion could be wrong...... they change or distort the original to fit their views. Whether they claim their holy book is being interpreted wrong, they claim a to have been contacted by their god...... cont
@wondergundy cont..... (directly, through divine inspiration, or a messenger), or just bluntly stating that either part or all of it is wrong. Then they present the "new" and/or "corrected" version of their religion. That way they can continue to believe in it without admitting that they are completely, or at least possibly, wrong. And no, not a single religion comes with validation...... and that was my point. Before you can go around claiming something a is true you need to provide..... cont
cont.... evidence for it. In the case of religion you would need to provide evidence of 2 things before any other claims about it can even be considered.
1) Prove that a god exists.
2) Prove that said god is the one you believe in.
Until then nothing else can be considered proof of any particular god. Religious texts also don't count until that happens and you then prove that the text was actually written by this god (whether literally or divinely inspired) and not created by man and.... cont
You can't wrap your mind around it because you're brainwashed by birth to believe in a God. Look into the sky, research the universe, that is the true wonder of nature, right in front of your eyes. It does not need a creator.
The Romans couldn't imagine their not being Gods of Zeus and Mars until they converted to Christianity. The next step is to convert to science. Science does not deny a god, but it doesn't claim their is one either.
@ojideagu "The next step is to convert to science."
I don't believe anyone can convert to "science". The next step would be to become a skeptic, than a rationalist, a humanist, a secularist, an atheist.
Science isn't a religion, nor a worldview, it's a tool, a mindset, a process. Nor is it anti-religion. If science could prove or even debunk whether there was an actual Jesus, it would. Science just seems anti-religion because theists have been unable to prove their beliefs with it!
@nailedurmum01 That seems to be exactly how it works... Stupid makes a claim, Science proofs it wrong. Stupid changes claim, Science proofs it wrong. and so on.
@compsciguy How can you have any greater meaning then the truth which science provides?
Spiritualism doesn't need religion. Man has had religion since cave men for the very same reason, they were pretty much uneducated about everything, so invented things to believe in to help them understand what they didn't.
@compsciguy Who says life has a purpose anyway? That's all a matter of interpretation. Religion does not provide ANY purpose. Philosophy addresses many of these questions without needing religion.
@compsciguy Nature intended that you live a healthy happy fruitful life in commune with your family and friends. You either chose or you were forced into a belief system that told you that you were a cursed ,flawed being that could not be saved unless you submit and bow down to some deity. You were told to take no stock in this life. In exchange you were promised eternity in heaven. I would laugh but a wasted life is so f'king sad. I think a large part of earths population is masochistic.
People do not choose gods or God. God is totally a matter of experience and not logical calculative deductions.
Those methods are what people use to explain the unexplainable experiences.
Science has yet to come up with where how when and why all things came to exist; only because it is infinite knowledge that the human mind cannot grasp. We cannot comprehend the infinite as once we think we know it all, the infinite stretchs further out and is never complete.
I've never personally seen an atheist try to convince a believer, and i know a lot of atheists. In my country, atheists are something like 40% of the population.
It's always the other way around. I've slammed the door on jehova's witnesses lots of times myself. I always get flyers in my mail suggesting that the world is going to end and kooky stuff like that.
Is something going on in the US with atheists? Like a slow revolution or something?
@Cihl280777 Here in America about 14% of us are atheists. The rest are all believers in some kind of God. We are demonized and misunderstood here for the most part, which sucks. They are a lot like the woman in this video, unwilling to even try to see our side of the argument.
@wondergundy I wouldn't doubt that. Well, I'd guesstimate maybe 40%. Otherwise things like the Texas Board of Eduction wouldn't of happened. The thing is, if they're quiet then they are only helping the theists.
@Cihl280777 I wouldn't call it a revolution, but yes atheists are fighting back against religious dogma and indoctrination (especially among children) more so in the past couple of years. At least it seems that way to me here on YouTube and some other social websites. It also seems to be that there are a growing number of hecklers against street preachers.
It is my policy to always let an inquisitive kid know that I believe there are no gods! Atheism is growing in popularity in the U.S.
What kind of crackpot argument is that? What do you say to people that have violent religious beliefs? How do you tell them they're wrong when they respond with your exact same argument?
You had to make a video to tell people that you don't mind what they think, how usefull to us, thanks... Looks like you can't wrap your mind around lots of thing... Guess i'm about to make a study on morphopsychology...
@violator198666 ah. willful ignorance. I personally dont see the value of believing non-truths just because it makes me "happy". I seek the truth no matter how unpleasant it may be. putting up a wall of deception just to hide reality seems like a waste of potential to me.
He takes no real risks because he believes in nothing . Perhaps in a strange and twisted way , he wants to create the condition of anomy and drift that he experiences , by using the sword of speciousness to cut other men away from the eternal things that anchor them .
Cleverness in advocating bad causes often lies tauntingly beyond the believer's capacity for refutation ;the dialectic of the disbeliever seldom lends itself to a discussion of spiritual things
@mollymu1 People who are Atheist believe things based on evidence not nothing stupid. If there is no evidence of angels, talking serpents, talking donkeys, talking bushes on fire that don't burn, and rest of the crap with no evidence to support it why should anyone believe it? If no evidence of spirits why believe in them. Is Casper the friendly ghost real? Sounds like an improvement over Bible, Koran and other nonsense but no evidence to support it so why believe it?
@hydrolito Read the Book of Mormon just 5 or 10 pages . You'll see there is no other explanation for it than some outside infulence not of this earth . Now it may be Aliens you can argue but it isn't of mortal man .
@hydrolito For the talking donkey you could look in the mirror . Just kidding . You left yourself wide open on that one . Seriously read the Book of Mormon and ask yourself how it could of come to exist . Only one answer . A divine other worldly influence . Our Heavenly Father .
@hydrolito For the talking donkey you could look in the mirror . Just kidding . You left yourself wide open on that one . Seriously read the Book of Mormon and ask yourself how it could of come to exist . Only one answer . A divine other worldly influence . Our Heavenly Father .
@mollymu1 Wow I'm a great master of disquise then aren't I? Didn't need some guy made up by man to creat universe. Book of mormon was written by joseph smith nothing other worldly about it.
The sophist, who is often a carrier of cleverness , is really an intellectual guerrilla, a forlorn man without a country who draws his delight and satisfaction from the process of verbal combat and encounter itself ; he does not seek resolution but disruption . He has no homeland and ,therefore ,seeks always to fight his battles on the homefront of the believer . The Sophist has nothing to defend .He takes no real risks because he believes in
@BlankPicketSign Christian here....I have no idea where all these Christians are who say this. Then again, I'm sure stereotypes never stopped you before...
Am I wrong? Have you never heard members of you community condemn / gossip / shun another person because of the things I listed above?
Have you never seen Christians condemning / gossiping / shunning someone for
1) Doubting Jesus
2) Not being Christian (or De-converting from Christianity)
3) Doing an action (Premarital sex, homosexuality, having a Mohawk, dye their hair a weird color, tattoos, piercings, listening to Rock / Metal, ect.)
@BlankPicketSign how do i "behave" as if you don't follow Jesus' teachings? you're an atheist for all I know! i'm speaking of those who profess to follow X but don't follow his primary command to love.
btw, Jesus was definitely real---no historian worth a shit thinks otherwise.
and MLK Jr. was so great b/c he followed and taught Jesus' teachings. period.
i just find it REMARKABLE how people, such as yourself, go out of your way to 1)
find poor representatives of Xianity and smear the Bible.
... I am not sure you are understanding me properly =^_^=
I am an Atheist, I lack any belief in God, Gods, or anything Supernatural due to lack of Evidence.
This does not mean I am a bad person. I do Not eat babies. I do Not sacrifice goats. I do Not kill puppies.
I am a normal American, I love this country and the freedoms we hold. I Support basic human rights such as Freedom of Speech, Religion, Fair Representation in court, ect.
@BlankPicketSign you are agnostic. not atheist, unless you CHOOSE to not believe in a God. then such belief then requires evidence, which should be pretty amazing since you lack the ability to prove or not prove God exists.
no one said you killed puppies. don't be silly and presumptous.
Words are just words =^_^= But I Identify myself as an "Soft Atheist". Someone who Does Not Believe in god or gods due to lack of evidence
"you lack the ability to prove or not prove God exists" Indeed, that is why I do not believe in religious claims. Jesus's Existence is not well supported by history... there are not enough Extra-Biblical Records of him.
This video is propaganda from people who think it is valuble to project strawmen arguments, because they would rather get idiots and morons to agree with them, than get people to understand the truth . these people should be killed and all those stupid enough to fall for and support their efforts
And I take it, this is your all-loving God talking?
It is people who threaten or suggest that others should be killed whose intelligence and mental stability should be called into question. You've got some serious hate in you that needs some serious (medical?) attention. It is the very seed of fundamentalism that leads to religious fanatics flying airplanes into buildings. Better watch what you say, buddy.
@JamesMorlan JAmesMortan, is a baby killing protect the pedophiles person. and he claims to be morally astute in his beliefs. He's just a liberal. Common sense, logic, sense, and love says kill the liberals.
I won't even pretend to understand what you just wrote, but it sounds like you really need to get some serious help. One more threat of killing people and we'll see where that gets you.
in your communist state this is a crime, not in america. but soon we will need to go further and have you liberals killed. there is no need for an option. people like you should be found and killed. go look to instigate more with you petty threats. you commies will be killed wholesale. working people realize theyre not going to hand over the work of their hands to thives like you. you will be killed. it is good.
I'm not the one making threats here. Besides, you don't have a clue where I live. Your petty idle cowardly threats are only going to backfire on you...and you're making it oh so very easy. So, so very easy. I can't wait to see the look on your face.
Keep on making those big threats little boy. They're being counted.
people like you need to be dragged out into the streets and killed. look at the person in this video, and the person who posted it and the people who comment on it. The liars. there is no need to give them civil protection, in fact it's wrong. All you people need to be burned in the streets. I hope you enjoy it when you get pulled out and beaten to death.
You know that by killing me, you would only unleash my power, right? I would die laughing, and I would follow you from the beyond, haunting you, and there would be no escape. I would invade your dreams and await the day of your passing so that I could abduct your soul and keep it hostage as I torment it through the ages, and your god would not be able to hear you scream.
Trust me: you don't want to threaten me. You really don't want to threaten me.
Extrordinary claims of existence require extrordinary amounts of evidence to back it up, thus why I dont believe

Atheists have no real clue why they don't believe. Their excuses are always the same, "I've never heard or seen him, therefore he doesn't exist, and you should stop believing too, if you don't you're a dummy". Sorry atheists, but you have to do better than that to get us theists to stop believing.

I figured maybe it's best to judge things without absolute political affiliation or in accordance to dogmatic religious codexes, but using my own overclocked ape brain or just suspend judgement when you don't know the facts ..
alex007152 2 months ago

AvatarRoku1 2 months ago
@AvatarRoku1 You have it quite backwards. Atheism is not a lack of knowledge, that is easily acquired by growing up to a Christian family or studying. I think freely and the notion of a god is not provable or falsifiable from what I have seen in the totality of my life. Technically I am agnostic because I look at it objectively and see the lies. A true Atheist blindly denying god would be in the same boat as theists. Don't get so heated, I'm just text on your screen saying it like it is.
BigBananaMan 2 months ago
@BigBananaMan You're confusing atheists (don't believe in god) with anti-theists (believe there is no god).
PalulukanMakto 2 months ago
@PalulukanMakto Those examples you gave pretty much sound like the same thing. Either way my stance is that I've educated myself just enough to understand that another unfalsifiable deity, the sun being carried by a chariot, a man riding a horse into the sky, and very roughly estimated 16 million animals and insects with food and water for a year on an ancient wooden super-ship while more water than there is on earth rains with REAL proof contrary; is probably exactly how it sounds.
BigBananaMan 2 months ago
@PalulukanMakto

I see no credible evidence that a supernatural being exists. But, I can easily conceive of evidence that would change my mind. If one has no respect for evidence, then what evidence could ever be offered?

To be honest, that is actually the best response I've heard from a Christian. If I could convey it so well, that is how I felt when I was a Christian about 14 years ago. Around that year was when I did become familiar with the arguments and alternative philosophies. Beyond that, some education and science helped a lot. In general I think all you need is a passion for finding the truth and the proper tools and information. This woman is a prime candidate for only needing the latter.

God?
EGMAG 6 months ago
@EGMAG You have to stand alone one time in the wilderness, just a few hundred miles from civilization.. Watch the wolves, driven with hunger, risk their lives to separate a caribou from the heard. You quickly realize you are far less important than you ever thought. if you die there, you do not exist but in memory. Nature pays us no mind at all. You can make up things to try to soften the reality but don't let superstition control you. Religion just retards us with fear. I piss on evil!
wondergundy 6 months ago
@wondergundy Nature <<

We go to churches and pray that we will be guided by some imaginary entity to do it's bidding. Childish indeed

EGMAG 6 months ago
@EGMAG I think if mankind had not developed social skills we would not have made it out of the trees.. Watch my back.... I can think of only one sin. THEAFT and we all pretty much know what is ours. Evil is only in peoples minds. Prisons are full of Christians and Muslims. I would not act any differently if you admitted there was no god. So it's up to you... can you be trusted?
wondergundy 6 months ago
@wondergundy Evil is only in peoples minds. <<

@Ondrix I have other proof ,read the Book of Mormon and ask yourself how it could of come to exist . Only one answer . A divine other worldly influence . Our Heavenly Father .
mollymu1 1 year ago
@mollymu1 Do you actually know the story of how the book of mormon came to be or what it says? Because if you did you would know that it was completely made up by joseph smith and believed in by idiots. It was NOT, however, created by a "divine other worldly influence". Anyone can make up a book and claim it comes from god. But if your going to do that you should bring some proof other than unfounded claims.
Ondrix 1 year ago

@Ondrix So you wouldn't need to change anything in your life to switch over to being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?

@Ondrix I know you are searching . Like I said read the Book of Mormon . There are many proofs but the Lord isn't going to hit you over the head . And as for his existence just look at an egg and think of it 's construction etc. The proofs are all around you .
mollymu1 1 year ago
@mollymu1 WOW..... typical christian. Ignore my questions (because you can't answer them) and say something completely pointless. You tell me "the lord isn't going to hit you over the head" but I didn't ask the lord (who may or may not exist)...... I asked YOU. And an egg isn't proof that any branch of christianity or their beliefs are right. If you claim there is all this proof that proves you right and will convert me then POINT IT OUT..... and don't jsut CLAIM it exists (when it doesn't).
Ondrix 1 year ago
@mollymu1 That isn't proof of god. That's an egg. I'm sure you're thinking "oh well god must have made this egg as it is so complex etc." but no. You can pick up a biology textbook and read about the egg. or even better talk to an evolutionary biologist who can explain how the egg came to be without god's help.
Not to mention how absurd and ridiculous your religion is. Maybe you should use reason and logic instead of dubious texts.

@Ondrix Do you think it was invented in response, or maybe to compete, with other religions. It is an offshoot of christianity? Does any religion come with validation?
wondergundy 6 months ago
@wondergundy Mormonism (and other branch religions stemming from an original) was created not in response to, or to compete with, other religions. It was created because of the disagreements some people have with their religion. Rather than admit that their religion could be wrong...... they change or distort the original to fit their views. Whether they claim their holy book is being interpreted wrong, they claim a to have been contacted by their god...... cont
Ondrix 6 months ago
@wondergundy cont..... (directly, through divine inspiration, or a messenger), or just bluntly stating that either part or all of it is wrong. Then they present the "new" and/or "corrected" version of their religion. That way they can continue to believe in it without admitting that they are completely, or at least possibly, wrong. And no, not a single religion comes with validation...... and that was my point. Before you can go around claiming something a is true you need to provide..... cont
Ondrix 6 months ago
cont.... evidence for it. In the case of religion you would need to provide evidence of 2 things before any other claims about it can even be considered.
1) Prove that a god exists.
2) Prove that said god is the one you believe in.
Until then nothing else can be considered proof of any particular god. Religious texts also don't count until that happens and you then prove that the text was actually written by this god (whether literally or divinely inspired) and not created by man and.... cont

Simply because you cant believe that something isn't real, doesn't make it real, the fact that i cant disprove god, proves that he doesn't exists.

Indoctrination is a powerful tool, religion's will use any means to hold on to their followers
Be it fear tactics "if you doubt Jesus, you will burn"
Guilt tactics "Your a horrible person because of X so ask God to save you"
Smear campaigns "Anyone who doesn't believe is evil"
And a sense of community "We all are christian so we all are family"
yes... family, Religion is the only tool I have seen that would make a Mother HATE her own child. Religion is truly a disgusting 'virus'

@BlankPicketSign Christian here....I have no idea where all these Christians are who say this. Then again, I'm sure stereotypes never stopped you before...

@EastofForever
I'm I incorrect in my observations? =^_^=
BlankPicketSign 11 months ago
@BlankPicketSign No I've never seen that in my genuinely Christian community and , yes, you are incorrect.
Look around--there are genuine people who try to follow Jesus' teaching of love....funny how atheists work hard at not finding those people, ain't it?

@EastofForever
"there are genuine people who try to follow Jesus' teaching of love"
You behave as if I am not one of those people =^_^=
Just because I do not believe in your god, nor pray to your Messiah. That does NOT mean I do not like their teachings.
If an Idea is sound, I applaud it.
If an Idea works, I follow it.
Jesus (Fiction of Real) was a wise, kind, and loving man, And I follow some of his teaches.

(Continued)
I follow the teaches of many people, regardless if they are Real or Fiction, because it is the Teaching that is important, NOT the source.
I follow the ideas of Martin Luther King jr, Buddha, Luke Skywalker, Jesus, Solid Snake, and many others.
I also Condemn the ideas of people who wish to harm or subjugate other human beings!
And I have seen Many Christians harm, shun, and hate other people who have done them no harm at all.
All people are Free and Equal! =^_^=

@EastofForever
I do follow the ideas of Jesus, and many others.
BlankPicketSign 11 months ago
@BlankPicketSign you are agnostic. not atheist, unless you CHOOSE to not believe in a God. then such belief then requires evidence, which should be pretty amazing since you lack the ability to prove or not prove God exists.
no one said you killed puppies. don't be silly and presumptous.
EastofForever 11 months ago
@EastofForever
Atheist / Agnostic
Soda / Cola
Words are just words =^_^= But I Identify myself as an "Soft Atheist". Someone who Does Not Believe in god or gods due to lack of evidence
"you lack the ability to prove or not prove God exists" Indeed, that is why I do not believe in religious claims. Jesus's Existence is not well supported by history... there are not enough Extra-Biblical Records of him.
No Roman Arrest Warrant
No Diary pages about him
No News Articles
ect.

This video is propaganda from people who think it is valuble to project strawmen arguments, because they would rather get idiots and morons to agree with them, than get people to understand the truth . these people should be killed and all those stupid enough to fall for and support their efforts
nVei06 1 year ago
@nVei06
"these people should be killed"

Man, you're just making it easier and easier.

in your communist state this is a crime, not in america. but soon we will need to go further and have you liberals killed. there is no need for an option. people like you should be found and killed. go look to instigate more with you petty threats. you commies will be killed wholesale. working people realize theyre not going to hand over the work of their hands to thives like you. you will be killed. it is good.
nVei06 1 year ago
I'm not the one making threats here. Besides, you don't have a clue where I live. Your petty idle cowardly threats are only going to backfire on you...and you're making it oh so very easy. So, so very easy. I can't wait to see the look on your face.
Keep on making those big threats little boy. They're being counted.
Oh I can't wait.
JamesMorlan 1 year ago
people like you need to be dragged out into the streets and killed. look at the person in this video, and the person who posted it and the people who comment on it. The liars. there is no need to give them civil protection, in fact it's wrong. All you people need to be burned in the streets. I hope you enjoy it when you get pulled out and beaten to death.
nVei06 1 year ago
Try it.

@nVei06
Sleep well, nVei06. Sleep well.
