I've never been to Japan but many of my best friends are from Japan and have lived there their whole lives.
They work extremely hard and earn what they have. They're polite because every one of them are raised under very strict disclipine.

Can you define the term "species"?
Each specie cannot reproduce with an animal from a different specie, and produce a healthy offspring that can again reproduce.
That means, just because we evolved from primates that also evolved into monkeys, does not make us monkeys (study evolution).
And since gorillas and monkeys tend to have black hair, and seem less intelligent than we are, people associated black people with monkeys. And they want any small dicked assholes calling them monkeys.

As someone who is half black and is interested in the Japanese culture, it is a hard one. I give a little more lead-way to Japanese then I do to white people because they don't really know any better. The stuff they do is not meant to be racist, but it is still disturbing just the same. I hope much of this does get out, that way the Japanese can learn a little more about why this stuff is offensive and why they should not do it.

Tough call. There are plenty of cops who shake down foreigners without cause, and bars/restaurants that prohibit entry by non-Japanese, or more appropriately, non-asians. Monkey is a slang not necessarily for blacks but more often for whites; we're more hairy than the Japanese.
On the flipside, Obama is hugely popular here. As a foreigner I'm more of a curiosity than someone getting kicked around. You get more celebrity treatment than anything else. Japan is a very strange world.
