I seriously hate it when people have to make up new genres for songs that sound slightly different to other songs. e.g. the slight difference between goth rock and death rock. Jeez guys why make it more confusing for the norms? It's good music, lets leave it at that

gee, in the 80's there wasn't goth OR deathrock yet as genres. We called all this kind of music batcave.

I consider goth and deathrock to be the same thing. Deathrock sounds a bit more aggressive at times, making it sound more punk-like.
