I love the Modern Family characters so much that I can't decide who I am rooting for this year. With the women, it's probably Sofia by a hair (based on her submission) but the guys. Eric Stonestreet is very funny in the role and any of the male cast of Modern Family would be deserving. Ed O'Neill should have been nominated too. As for Chris Colfer, his acting in the dramatic moments is very good. But for pure comedy value I think Eric Stonestreet is funnier.

Speaking of Ed O'Neill, how come he wasn't nominated? He should have been nominated alongside the other 3 male cast members. It just doesn't seem fair that the other 3 got picked, and he doesn't. Yet, he's the one with the most experience in the sitcom business (i.e. Married... With Children).

I haven't seen a lot of NPH and Jon Cryer's work, but Eric Stonestreet is a NATURAL! He's so effortless at playing Cam that you forget he's completely different from him in real life. He also has killer comedic timing....his mannerisms and reactions are so perfect he has me clutching my sides laughing.
I was super super rooting for Chris (come on now, the kid is 20 years old and already has INTENSELY amazing acting chops!), but if he had to lose to anyone, Eric was definitely the best option :D I really do love Eric to death, and he was completely deserving as well :)

Eric Stonestreet is very funny in the role and any of the male cast of Modern Family would be deserving. Ed O'Neill should have been nominated too. As for Chris Colfer, his acting in the dramatic moments is very good. But for pure comedy value I think Eric Stonestreet is funnier.

Speaking of Ed O'Neill, how come he wasn't nominated? He should have been nominated alongside the other 3 male cast members. It just doesn't seem fair that the other 3 got picked, and he doesn't. Yet, he's the one with the most experience in the sitcom business (i.e. Married... With Children).

I wanted Colfer to win-- for someone as young as 20 (and in the first season he was 19) he has amazing skills. But I guess I'm that if it wasn't Chris, it's Eric winning it.

I loved that Eric won. He is hysterical on the show. And i had no idea he was straight until he came to Australia with his girlfriend....which just makes the win even more fantastic. Excellent character. I would've given him the Emmy for the Fizbo episode alone!!

Now let's face it, Stonestreet he's doing a terrific job in "Modern Family", he's super funny, he's hilarious, he made a lovely gay character but how could Neil Patrick Harris lost to him??? Barney Stinson is the most iconic character ever, he don't even deserve to be included in "supporting" category.

Eric Stonestreet-brilliant, deserving winner that he is-plays a gay character, like Ferguson & Colfer. Harris is gay in real life. Of the men in that list, the only two who are neither gay NOR play a gay character are Burrell & Cryer.

So I apologize and also the reply to the person said that 3 gay guys were nominated, when thats NOT true. I said who were they? The only person that is gay is NPH. and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. If Chris Colfer is gay for real I wasnt aware, but knew Ty Burrell and Jon Cryer wasnt, along with Eric. If he didnt win it, It should went to Ty.

I haven't seen a lot of NPH and Jon Cryer's work, but Eric Stonestreet is a NATURAL! He's so effortless at playing Cam that you forget he's completely different from him in real life. He also has killer comedic timing....his mannerisms and reactions are so perfect he has me clutching my sides laughing.

I was super super rooting for Chris (come on now, the kid is 20 years old and already has INTENSELY amazing acting chops!), but if he had to lose to anyone, Eric was definitely the best option :D I really do love Eric to death, and he was completely deserving as well :)

Aaaw I'm a bit dissapointed that Chris didn't win, I watch all of these shows and I really do think he is the best actor in there, even if not the funniest.
Glad he lost to someone who's actually good like Eric Stonestreet though, it would have been awful if Jon Cryer had won again, it was bad enough last year when NPH totally deserved it (he didn't so much this year, HIMYM is not as good as it used to be).

@MrSmoothCriminal10 Er sorry, I've watched Two and a half Men up to about season 5/6, I think it's a really funny show, the script is particularly witty, and Jon Cryer is pretty funny too, but I have never thought anyone was that good an actor in that show, with the sole exception of the woman who plays Alan and Charlier's mother.
On top of that, the reason I stopped watching is because the new seasons aren't as good as the old ones. So I'll politely disagree with you.
